New surveillance and bodycam footage shows Charlotte stabbing suspect Decarlos DeJuan Brown Jr. moments before the fatal attack on a light-rail train. Brown is seen pacing on the platform before boarding, carrying a red sweatshirt. Minutes later, he allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska in a random, unprovoked assault. Panicked 911 callers reported “a lot of blood.” Police arrested Brown near the tracks with his hand wrapped in cloth. Federal prosecutors have charged him with violence resulting in death on a mass transit system.
