00:00Just, you know, I mean, you know, just kind of, you know, keep that same, you know, stat line going.
00:08And like I said, I did have a great game, but like I said, I ain't the only one out there.
00:12I mean, as an offense, I feel like we played great, but we just got to keep that same, you know, motivation going
00:19and make sure you carry on.
00:21Jalen, how would you assess how the past month has gone for you ever since Tyreek was hurt?
00:27Um, well, we went like one in three over the last month.
00:35What is it, one in three?
00:36One in three.
00:39So, I mean, I kind of go with how the outcome of the game comes.
00:42It's not, you know, individual, like success is always by the, you know, team wins.
00:49So, looking at it, it's been, you know, highs and lows.
00:57We saw, I think it was Dolphins put up a clip, a video of you, Jalen, talking about, I've been that, I've been that.
01:11Now, most of us who know you know that's completely out of character.
01:15Is that just something that you show your teammates?
01:17Uh, no, man, it's just, you know, flow the game mentality that I have just out there.
01:26Um, yeah, it's just the mentality I have when I'm out there and competing.
01:32Like, yeah, it's just mentality.
01:34So, welcome to the city.
01:43Um, for you, Devon, uh, when you break off one of those long touchdowns runs, uh, are you thinking a strategy or are you thinking nobody's catching me?
01:54No, no strategy.
01:55Um, really just trying to get to the end zone as fast as I can, for real, and hoping nobody chasing me, for real.
02:00Um, but, you know, you just, you're just running for real.
02:04I ain't, you know, like, got stuff in my head, like, what I'm going to do with this and that.
02:08I'm just running for the end zone.
02:10Thank you.
02:11I'm going to touch now.
02:12Hi, welcome to Madrid over here.
02:15Oh.
02:16Uh, this one's for the both of you.
02:18Um, I want to know your opinion on these facilities, the stadium, and the kind of atmosphere you expect at the Bernabeu going into Sunday.
02:27I'll go first.
02:28Um, it's been great.
02:29You know, they, um, definitely welcomed us, um, here at the facility.
02:32Um, you know, it's, I don't really know a lot, a lot about, uh, soccer, but, um, say it's like pretty traditional, uh, place.
02:40So, uh, yeah, it's, it's been great.
02:43They've been, um, you know, great, great hospitality.
02:46Um, the field's been, uh, great.
02:49So, it's been smooth.
02:51Um, it's been good.
02:52Um, the field, like, the stadium is, you know, it's amazing.
02:57Um, you know, it's good to go out, you know, see different things from, you know, where, where we're from.
03:01So, um, you know, kind of, like, walked around the city, seen a lot of stuff.
03:04But, I mean, it's, it's cool environment to be around, especially when you don't see this, like, so often.
03:09And so, it's, it's been fun with being hard.
03:14Hi.
03:15Uh, good afternoon.
03:17Carlos Mateos from Anthony Services.
03:18I would like to ask you, uh, as a sportsman, what vision do you have about Real Madrid and about, uh, Santiago Bernabeu before coming here?
03:27Uh, do you know, uh, how important it is for, for, for football, for soccer, uh, the club, the stadium?
03:35What did you know about it?
03:36Thank you.
03:37You know what you said?
03:38You said what I know about soccer before?
03:40About Real Madrid and the stadium that you're playing at on Sunday.
03:43Um, I kind of, like, know a little bit because we have, like, a soccer game at our, uh, stadium.
03:51But not too much.
03:53Um, honestly, I'm not, like, the biggest, um, soccer fan.
03:56Um, but I know the team and, uh, know some of the players.
04:01Uh, but I ain't really know too much.
04:03I ain't gonna lie.
04:03Okay.
04:07That would have been.
04:10Hi, Devon.
04:11Um, I'm curious, uh, you've, you've been on such a role lately and it seems like your work with the offensive line is getting better and better and the product is looking more and more like what you guys probably envisioned for a while now.
04:25And as that happens, when you think about the premier backs in the NFL, uh, not just in Miami, but just around the country, Jonathan Taylor's name comes up and a lot of the other guys you would expect comes up.
04:40Um, and I'm wondering what is your desire toward putting your name alongside names like that?
04:46Um, I mean, it means a lot, man.
04:48Like you said, it's a lot of, uh, great backs in this league.
04:50And, um, like you said, Jonathan Taylor had a great game, uh, last week.
04:55Like, even during our game and they put the stats on the board, I'm looking at the board like there's no way he went crazy like that.
05:00But, you know, it's just, you know, friendly competition when you see somebody, like, at your position, you know, doing good and, you know, had a great game.
05:07You kind of want to do the same.
05:09So, it's, you know, um, kind of like, you know, like I said, friendly competition with, you know, each, each, each of us.
05:16And as far as O-line, I think it just, that just comes to, like, us getting the reps in.
05:20And we, I feel like we getting better and better every week.
05:22I wanted to ask both of you, uh, Tua obviously had the moment where he, he talked about, uh, player, player meetings and, and, and stuff like that.
05:34He said that was one of the best learning experiences for him.
05:37What kind of growth have you seen from him from a leadership standpoint this season?
05:42And primarily you, Jalen, because you go back with him back all the way to Alabama.
05:47Yeah, I think Tua's been great.
05:49Um, like I said, it was a learning moment, um, for him.
05:52It was definitely something that he didn't want to portray, especially to his teammates.
05:56Um, he got a lot of, um, desire to be the, the, the best leader, um, the best, you know, captain on his team.
06:07So, knowing that he may have, um, not portrayed that to, you know, y'all, um, I, I think it really did hurt him.
06:15But he's been great, um, and he, he's just been the self.
06:18Um, he's not, you know, easily, you, um, provoked or, you know, bothered by, you know, what people may say.
06:26So, um, I think it's been solid.
06:27Uh, uh, uh, uh, separate questions for, for each of you.
06:34First, uh, Jalen, uh, looks like they're down a couple of corners.
06:38Uh, Washington is, um, what impact do you think that makes?
06:42And, uh, what would you think if you are lined up, uh, opposite, uh, Noah Igbenogany in this game?
06:46Yeah, man, uh, I'm excited.
06:48I seen, um, Noah, he's been playing great football for them, um, over there.
06:52Um, you know, we got a lot of bank reps, uh, going back to when he was, um, with the team.
06:57Um, he's a great competitor.
06:59Um, it's going to be, you know, a matchup, um, dating back from, you know, when we was in college going against each other.
07:05Um, but he's a great player.
07:07He's going to compete.
07:08Um, and yeah, I got to be on my P's and Q's.
07:11And Devon, I saw you told the nightcap podcast that you were done with the, uh, pop a shot in the locker room.
07:17Uh, is that like a strong opinion you held or it was just kind of like, because that's what the team was doing?
07:22And, um, you know, is it something that you think was, was holding the team back?
07:26Uh, I feel like, no, I'm done, man.
07:29Like, they, they took it out of there.
07:31Um, it's not something that we, I was just, you know, big on, like, just coming in there hoping to do.
07:35But, like you said, um, we got to win.
07:37So, I, I, no point of us, like, putting it back in there.
07:42Two more here and then Marcel finishes up.
07:44Uh, Jalen, uh, quick question about kind of after the injury to Tyreek Hill.
07:49Um, we've seen, uh, this team go to more, one more receiver sets and two wide receiver sets.
07:56Is that something that you enjoy kind of being, uh, the main guy as a receiver in that room?
08:02Uh, I think we enjoy moving the ball, um, extending drives, scoring points.
08:07Not necessarily, um, you know, um, a certain formation or a certain, we're just trying to move the ball forward, um, and, you know, score points.
08:19So, ultimately, that's, that's the main goal.
08:22Um, however, whatever personnel we, um, have to do to, to do that, that's the main goal.
08:27So, then, Jalen, it's, it's, at the risk of sounding kind of redundant here, uh, speaking to Mike about how you've played over the past five, six games,
08:37you said that one thing that stands out is your production in critical situations.
08:43In third down or when you've got to go hot and you need to get out of your break quickly.
08:47In situations like that, I guess what goes through your mind when you know you're in a gotta-have-it situation and you're, you're the guy in the receiver room?
08:54Um, I don't think nothing necessarily go through my mind.
08:57I think it just go back to preparation, um, great preparation throughout the week, um, knowing that,
09:03Tua knowing that I'm going to get to my depth at the right time, uh, at the time of the play so he can be prepared to throw the ball.
09:09So, um, I think it just go back to that, honestly.
