00:00The Steam Machine is back as the GameCube 2, or a GabeCube if you will.
00:04But seriously, this is Valve's new take on a gaming console and is designed to run just like
00:08a pre-built gaming PC running Steam games off of SteamOS. It's quite compact as well,
00:13running about 6 to 7 inches on each side, making it just a bit larger than a GameCube.
00:18The front panel is magnetically attached, meaning you could swap it out for other designs if you're
00:22not a fan of the all-black look. It has the GPU power roughly equivalent to an RTX 4060,
00:27and that may be disappointing to those wanting to max out their settings, but based on what we
00:31played, it still runs quite well, and the slightly weaker specs will probably keep the price affordable.
00:35It comes with either a 512GB or 2TB SSD that you can upgrade, but the rest of the components are
00:41locked in and won't be upgradable. And for even more storage, it has a microSD slot. Also easily
00:46accessible are two USB-A ports on the front, two more in the back, one USB-C port, a DisplayPort,
00:51and HDMI. How does it run games like Cyberpunk 2077? And what's the deal with this ugly new
00:57Steam controller? We go over all of this in new videos on the IGN YouTube channel, so check them
01:01out right now.
