00:07it can be very frustrating i do just kind of want to walk out it could take them to the very top
00:13this is made in korea i love you korea
00:17at the end of 2023 a uk search for raw undiscovered talent began auditions focused on dancing singing
00:32and personality five boys were chosen the last performance now give it your all they are reach
00:39james dexter blaze and ollie the aim was to create a new k-pop inspired british super group we're
00:50looking for a boy band that can take over the world k-pop first out of south korea in the early 1990s
00:57and changed the music landscape forever it's a hybrid ranging from pop to rmb to hip-hop to rock to edm
01:07it's also a very visual genre fancy outfits highly choreographed dash routines it's now become a
01:15global phenomenon in 2023 six of the top 20 best-selling artists in the world were k-pop
01:23and 90 billion streams were by k-pop idols blackpink have been awarded mbes by king charles
01:29espers sold out the o2 17 have taken glastonbury by storm
01:36and one of the biggest k-pop festivals is sm town with 120 000 fans
01:43that is the boys first stop on their k-pop adventure
01:46we left here fro it was rainy gray and cold and we got on a plane 14 hours later
01:59it was just like boom here you are
02:07i don't think i realized how upscale and how big it is
02:11absolutely mental it was amazing i think that was our first taste where we went okay
02:16we can see what we're getting ourselves into
02:17there are about 200 million fans worldwide and the industry is estimated to be worth five billion
02:31i think we'll be on a growth trail i think for the next seven eight years hopefully more so
02:36it was mind-blowing the vocals were flawless the dance moves were precise the performance was just
02:52incredible it sort of set the buyer very very high standard
02:59we went backstage to get some tips from some of the k-pop idols who had performed
03:03starting with the incredible prize we'll do our official greeting
03:17how did you come up with rise as your name our name is kind of like a combination of the words rise
03:24and realize and we kind of have like a team bottle sort of like to rise and realize our dreams in a way
03:33nice yeah it's cool
03:38and then the legendary 10 from waving came to see us
03:42so what was your first experience performing at like sm town i'm very nervous at first and then
03:49like a year after i debuted i become more like comfortable like on stage so it gets like easier as
03:54you go on yes you learn the tips and the tricks after like you perform like one after another so i feel
04:00like you learn along the way yeah oh wow definitely one of the most full-scale concerts i've seen in a while
04:12i'll put it next to taylor sweat huge huge it was amazing
04:29as we came out we met some fans even though you know we didn't even know it was possible to have
04:34fans before we'd even really started
04:40made i'd say probably all five of us very happy
04:46that was amazing we've met some of our first fans what can we say
04:49on the drive to the house we actually got to uh see soul on the way through it was like something
05:02out of a batman movie
05:09the lights were just insane there's so much life in the city it's amazing but it was also quite daunting
05:16because i haven't actually lived this far away from home before during the time in korea the boys
05:22will be living together in the fashionable soul district of ittawam
05:28okay here we go oh right look in the kitchen yo oh my god yo wow i think i know which room i want
05:39already the house is so sick downstairs we've got like games room mirrors so we can practice our
05:48dancers i'm on the next level hi i'm dexter i'm 22 i've been a performer ever since i was a little
05:58kid and i've been dreaming about doing something like this that's a cute room so i want this one i can't
06:04like i would say i'm an attention seeker but when i'm performing i definitely want everyone to look
06:09at me yeah i mean who doesn't love loads of people applauding you it's just fun
06:19ah do you remember this one i was just so proud of you this is how i'd like you to dress all the time
06:26i love the like tank top with the smart trousers whilst in south korea i'll probably miss my mum the most
06:32i see her every day in london you know i live with her spend all my time with her so it would
06:35definitely be hard but it's worth it let me show you what is that is actually someone at the door
06:45just looking around the house and the doorbell rang a lovely lady arrived called joy our translator and
06:51she was going to tell us what was going to be happening over the next 100 days every week you
06:55guys are going to prepare a performance different performance every week and you guys will be
06:59evaluated by heijun the head of training and every trainee goes through her but i do have to let you
07:05know that it's not guaranteed that everyone's going to be there at the end of the program
07:10not everybody makes it through the program
07:14yeah wait we're not going to make it is this is going to be cut well i can't really say much because
07:21he's just going to be in charge of evaluating you guys you guys are going to meet her at the end of
07:25the week for your first evaluation what she said about not all of us will make it i'm not feeling
07:31too great wait one of us one of us we're not only one of us we could all be cut blaze definitely took
07:38the news the hardest but that is the business at the end of the day you know if you if you can't keep
07:41up you get cut and that's that's how the industry works indeed it does the first thing any boy band needs
07:47is a sound can you feel the guys i'm checking how i speaking on sm entertainment believe this song will
07:54work for them speaking body like we should we both understand can you feel the rhymes
08:01and this is the choreography they'll be learning to accompany the song
08:09okay let's go five six
08:11k-pop is technically difficult as the choreography needs to be in perfect unison teaching them the
08:20skills to achieve this is sungchan park
08:28absolutely honestly i'm i am slow at picking up choreo and chum chum
08:32that i'm james i'm 23 i'm from huddersfield in the uk around sheep and cows let me try that one
08:43again let me run that one around i have a twin brother called lewis we post dance videos online
08:50and we've created around dance trends i think standing now on our main page we have 5.6 million followers
08:55this opportunity is huge i want to learn that's what i want to do i want to learn i want to soak up
09:04everything i can five six can you feel my room for me it's my main discipline which means i can really
09:13really appreciate the sort of intricacies of the movement five and six and seven and eight
09:20i'm not super good at picking up dance i come from all like a singing modeling background
09:30one more time sorry
09:33yeah you got it you got it you got it okay yeah um we'll see step and side off roll and roll kick
09:46right from the start i found the choreo tough freestyling is my forte
09:50because i struggle to follow direction i'm very do things on my own kind of a guy
10:06i felt a little bit bad for our choreographer on the first training day i don't think he really
10:10worked with a group of boys like us before our coordination wasn't wasn't great it's about
10:16looking like a team and looking the same because we all have a bit different flavors it's definitely
10:20hard um i'm gonna have to put in the work but yeah it's fun hi i'm ollie i'm 20 years old and i'm from
10:28sunderland i went to school in derring cathedral so i sung in the choir there i've always grown up with
10:34just my mom my nana and my granddad look after yourself right now but know that this is your
10:40dream yeah you know you'll work hard i think performing was passed on to me from my mom she
10:45used to do a lot of modeling when she was younger and dancing and you know that we're both gonna miss
10:49you like so much everything oliver acted in sang danced i was always there i'm not bragging but he's
10:59good lucky you know and i'm so proud of you always remember that little darling come here
11:09between rehearsals the boys have taken the opportunity to go out and about around
11:13souls to experience the unique world of k-pop culture
11:28their tour guide is local legend the k-pop cowboy
11:37the k-pop cowboy is a street interviewer hi i have a question do you guys like k-pop content creator
11:53and all-around k-pop enthusiast so for the tour today we're gonna check out some interesting k-pop spots
12:01i'm taking you to gangnam style statue what gangnam style a song about the hipster
12:07area of soul was a global hit for k-pop icon psy in 2012. first you know just like the statue and then go

12:34since you guys are here we can maybe make a wish i wish that we get our hands on one of these walls
12:43i can see it you see that gap just there let's go three two one okay now let's go to another spot
12:52in korea photo booths are a cultural phenomenon fueled by k-pop
12:59that works that works yeah that works
13:05fans have limited opportunities to take photos with k-pop idols
13:09so photo booths are the only way to get a snap with their favorite stuff
13:15everywhere you look in a soul there are these photo booths the people here love them it's like a massive
13:20social thing it's a trend worth millions and thousands of booths have opened across south korea in the last
13:2610 years
13:30across town in young goo is hiker an interactive experience that allows fans to make their own k-pop videos
13:37i'm gonna make you guys do a dance challenge video you're gonna come up with your own dance moves
13:44okay so i'm gonna set you guys into two teams okay how about this you one team

14:58oh okay let's see what you got guys
15:01yeah
15:14okay
15:20okay guys
15:34guys i have to say that was very impressive i love the dances i'm gonna
15:40raise the hand
15:41the winner for this dance challenge is i'm a very competitive person so winning a dance
15:53challenge in the first week as a cleanup crew was a very nice thing to happen i feel like it was
15:58deserved i was gutted i was i was absolutely gutted yeah
16:02but the boys break from training is short-lived
16:09over the next few days their rehearsals become even more intense
16:13boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom
16:17being a trainee is basically a full-time job and the only time you're not training is when you're sleeping
16:23i have never been so tired i have never been so tired in my life this was absolutely relentless
16:31drop it
16:32but despite their hard work they're still struggling to crack the choreo
16:40but the only you go on to get to liquor step step no no no no god you go kick step step
16:53count to go one and two that's the count one and two one and two okay well so that's right
17:02as ollie struggles in the dance studio reese is struggling in the vocal room with coach wumin john
17:09wave of the energy when we go all in together is the way we move in the night is
17:16in the morning to the dance studio reese is struggling in the dance studio reese is JFK
17:25but it was the thing that was the music that we start looking at you
17:26can you feel the voice?
17:28this is not the music that was just the music that was you
17:29can you feel the voice?
17:32yeah, yeah
17:33what do you feel the voice?
17:34yeah, yeah
17:35what do you think of your skin if you look at yourself a variety of things like that?
17:38you think of 10 points
17:40%uh
17:41you love them all you all
17:44It's not that you are beautiful, not that you are beautiful, but you are cute.
17:49You can be cute.
17:51I have to call you like that.
17:53You have to be with me.
17:54This is not it.
17:55You have to have a smile on this.
17:57Okay.
17:59Look at your face.
18:01Here's the mirror.
18:03How much is it?
18:04You're shy right now.
18:05It's a good time.
18:10Do you want to smile?
18:10Smile, smile.
18:11Wave of the energy when we go all in.
18:15It feels different, yeah.
18:18I became a performer from the age of four, five.
18:22Oh, look at you there, Rhys.
18:23Oh, I look actually quite cool.
18:25I wouldn't go that far.
18:27When I perform, I feel like I can properly be me.
18:34Throughout my school life, I've always had a little bit of, you know, the haters' comments,
18:38or it made me carry on and keep pushing to get where I want to be today.
18:44I've been a cruise ship dancer for the last eight months, but a boy band's always been a dream of mine.
18:49Wave of the energy when we go all in.
18:53K-pop is one of the biggest industries now in the world.
18:56The fame, the lifestyle is, you know, crazy good.
18:59So, for us, you know, five lads coming out of college into this extraordinary experience is, you know, once-in-a-lifetime, and it is amazing.
19:07With just days to go until their evaluation, the band are still failing to dance in unison.
19:25All right, yeah, I'm very bad.
19:27It's OK.
19:28It's OK.
19:33Oh, my God!
19:37Is it bad?
19:41Does that mean very bad?
19:43Yeah.
19:44I feel a little bit stressed.
19:51It's not, like, perfect and perfectly down, still making stupid mistakes.
19:55Eight and one and two, and one and two.
19:59OK.
20:00Synchronization can be very challenging.
20:02Good communication is really crucial, and you really need to remember that you're working as a part of a team,
20:09and that just comes from experience and practicing together.
20:14After a tough few days of training, the boys are being given a night off to have a night in.
20:20Hello!
20:21With Shin Dong from K-pop group Super Junior.
20:25He's been performing at the very top for 20 years.
20:33And tonight, he's given these new trainees a lesson in Korean culture.
20:37So, I'm prepared for Korean beer.
20:42Do you know Macaulay?
20:44Macaulay is a rice wine that's traditionally drunk alongside a main meal.
20:50What?
20:51It's definitely one shot.
20:53Oh, darling.
20:54This is good, man.
20:55I'm looking for a kid.
20:58If a kid has a kid, he'll turn his head off.
21:01Oh, another dream.
21:07Oh, another dream.
21:11This game is Ba-ni-ba-ni.
21:12OK?
21:13All together.
21:14That's great!
21:16I mean.
21:18It's kind of a Jab
21:26you're doing well.
21:29Thanks.
21:30I never even ate a lion like this
21:34TANGGUN TANGGUN
21:35Honey bunny bunny
21:37TANGGUN TANGGUN
21:38Honey bunny bunny
21:43Book your heads!
21:45Book your heads!
21:46Book your heads!
21:49You know the rules
21:50You know the rules
21:51Now do I sleep?
21:52Nah
21:53Oh buddy buddy
21:54I know the lion like this
21:57TANGGUN TANGGUN
21:59Bani bani, bani bani!
22:01Bani bani, bani, bani bani, bani!
22:10With just two days to go until the Hee Jun-yoon evaluation,
22:14choreographer Sung Kwon Kim has been drafted in
22:17to help them crack synchronization.
22:19We have to be honest with you, and we don't have enough time, so we can see each other in a circle.
22:36We're one team.
22:37We're one team, right?
22:38We're one team, right?
22:39I'm going to tell you what's different from my face, and the front and front.
22:46I'm going to tell you what's different.
22:49I'm showing you the best if you're at the beginning of the first half.
23:00Olivia is...
23:02Wait, wait.
23:04Just wait.
23:06and wait on the other legs.
23:13Very simple and casual.
23:16Yeah.
23:17I did feel like I was holding the boys up a little bit
23:19in the first week.
23:20They're all such really good dancers
23:22and I just wasn't at that standard.
23:24But I really wanted to be
23:25so I knew I had to put in a lot of work.
23:27You...
23:28Like a little bit.
23:30While Oli drills down on the details,
23:32Blaze has been called in to vocal training.
23:35I'm blaze and I am 19. I first started performing when I was about seven
23:51I was very serious
23:54My mom always say I was really talented at a young age. I don't think I was I could not sing when I was younger
24:03I could not dance either audition for the brick school. I went there from age 14 to 18 and I loved
24:10like every second of it
24:12This is my dream to be performing on on massive stages in front of massive audiences
24:20I'm expecting a lot of long hours from the training the standards are gonna be like very very high
24:27Which is slightly daunting, but very exciting
24:31I don't know you guys. You know, I don't know. I don't know father or your son. It's not
24:36Yeah, I'm a student. Well, no, so it's not a blaze is quite a low speaking voice
24:41So I'd say it's more of a bariton, but the k-pop songs have quite a high vocal
24:49Can you feel the vibes?
24:52Can you feel the vibes?
24:56Okay
25:01With some band members struggling with the different aspects of k-pop training wellness coach genie chang has been brought in to help them cope with the daily emotional and mental challenges
25:12Hello hello
25:14Hello guys, so excited to meet you
25:17I'm here to check up on you guys
25:19Yes, just just to make sure you're doing good, you know, so how was your first week? How's it been?
25:25It's being really good. It's been very intense and you say that with a smile. Yeah, well, okay
25:29You know it's been in a good way because I mean we're training with like the best people
25:33It's a little mind-blowing training in SM. They're working with like the biggest names in k-pop and I'm like, oh, wow
25:40Like yeah, it's kind of crazy. Okay. It's also like they ask us what our favorite like k-pop. Oh, of course. They're gonna ask that
25:46We say something and they're like, oh, yeah, they're my student
25:51I'm just curious
25:53I like I swear
25:54I mean I'm looking forward to seeing how good we get and like what SM are gonna create
26:03I was in two. Yeah, we're already really good, but just becoming that like so slick and sick
26:09How are you guys getting along? Yeah, good think we've all become really close because of how
26:14Intense the training has been of course
26:17We're all gonna have to have each of us back because sometimes like for me example like I'm
26:21Not getting a move and I'm a little slower at choreo and these boys like you're at man
26:25Oh, to me, that's really important because you guys have to lean on each other. You know, that's the whole k-pop thing the group mentality
26:32On that note, I guess I want to know do you guys know each other's strengths or your favorite things about each other?
26:38Reese he's got the most amazing voice you are such a handsome man. He goes about life as if he's in a photo shoot
26:45He's always smoldering
26:47He's always smoldering
26:49Let's talk about blaze. He's a little quiet over here
26:51Blaze I'd say is our little dancer from day one
26:55The little's just unnecessary
26:57Just calling me a dancer is nice
26:59I like the way he scratches his hair
27:01Yeah
27:03Okay, is that gonna be the signature look?
27:05Yeah, look at that wow
27:07Yeah, okay, let's talk about James James is very mature and he's also a very very kind person and an amazing dancer
27:14Yeah, what do you enjoy about me? What do you enjoy about him? Oh, he's got the best laugh
27:18You've got a really beautiful sunshiny energy about you, Dexter. Thank you, James
27:22But that's great. So he radiates. He has a great laugh. Yeah, okay. That's awesome. Let's go to Oli
27:28Oli tries hard always
27:35So I was gonna go on to say
27:37He doesn't call himself a dancer
27:39You don't call yourself a dancer?
27:40No, you know
27:41I've danced for a long time, but I just don't have the connection in my body
27:45I'll just say I admire how he's not afraid to put himself out of his comfort zone
27:49Yeah, if that was me, I would be very uncomfortable
27:52I'll be stressing
27:54Okay, so you have your assessment, okay?
27:57Yeah
27:58So what's that gonna be like?
27:59Feeling the pressure a little bit
28:01It's not easy to take criticism, right?
28:03Or like that feedback of like, this isn't good
28:06I'm not intimidated
28:07I think we will be nervous when we actually go to do it
28:09I mean, I think that's normal
28:10We'll get real once we walk in
28:11Evaluation is just a day away
28:21Can you feel the vibe?
28:22This is the last chance for the routine to be perfected with vocal coach Jinyoung Jen
28:31And everything appears to be in tune
28:33And everything appears to be in tune
28:34And everything appears to be in tune
28:38However
28:41However
28:42Can you feel the vibe?
28:43Oh, good
28:44Can you feel?
28:45Feel
28:46Feel
28:47Blaise
28:48The
28:49The
28:50The
28:51Can you feel?
28:52Clinica
28:53Okay?
28:54My position was horrible
28:55First was bad
28:56First
28:57Can you feel the vibe?
28:59We're looking towards tomorrow with performances
29:01We just need clean up vocals, clean up dancing
29:03There's a little bit of a disconnect between the two, I'd say at the moment
29:07We'll just get better
29:08Let's just get better
29:09You wouldn't think we're singers, that's for sure
29:10We're a unit of five and so
29:11If anyone's struggling with one thing, we're all struggling with that one thing
29:14Every time you move a little, move, move a little
29:15Tomorrow's gonna be intense
29:16We finally just gotta go in there and give everything we've got
29:18One week into their a hundred day training regime and it all comes down to this
29:22Are you nervous?
29:23Ummm
29:25A little bit
29:26Boys, it's good to be nervous
29:27There's definitely some nerves and some
29:31A lot of thinking, of what-ifs and everything
29:33Obviously everyone is a little nervous but I think I'm a little bit intimidated
29:38I'm a little bit like
29:39Nah, I think it will be all right
29:40I think
29:41I'm just going to have to have to go in there
29:42And get better
29:43I think
29:45Well, we're just going to have to go in there
29:46And get better
29:47Get better
29:48It's gonna be done
29:49I'm just going to have to go in there
29:50Get better
29:51Yeah, we're gonna need it. Look, all we can do is put our very best
29:55Put our all into it. Whatever we leave in that room is left in that room. That's that
30:04I just want to get it done now. Yeah, man. The anticipation is killing me
30:11You're nervous. Yeah, you're doing your vocal warm-ups. I mean, you're pacing me. No, I'm not
30:18No, no, no, I'm not nervous. I'm not nervous. I'm excited
30:25I'm not really that worried. I think I'm pretty confident all of our abilities
30:35He Joon-yoon has more than 20 years experience creating and nurturing some of k-pop's biggest stars
30:41She has unbelievably high standards and any who fail to meet them risk being cut from training
31:02How do we care
31:05Boys
31:11I can feel my heart see sparks when I'm with you
31:29Feel it in my soul. Yeah, you know what we gotta do
31:32You're labyrinth so bright, gotta put on shades
31:39Baby, come along watch me take it away
31:44Somebody turn up louder
31:47To get down for an hour
31:51Shooing me out on the floor
31:53Let's go a little longer
31:55We're sitting stronger
31:57We're sitting stronger
31:58And stronger
31:59And stronger
32:00And stronger
32:01Can you feel the vibe?
32:02Every time you move a little closer than me
32:05You're walking through your body like electricity
32:07We'll see the air and everywhere get into the beat
32:10Can you feel the vibe?
32:12I'm shaking and I'm sticking and it's making me dance
32:14So come on over, come in closer, give me a hand
32:17Speaking body language so we both understand
32:19Can you feel the vibe?
32:21Can you feel the vibe?
32:23Can you feel the vibe?
32:24Can you feel the vibe?
32:30Can you feel the wave of the energy when we all all leave?
32:34Together with the way we move when the night is lean, lean
32:40Somebody turn up louder
32:44Need to get down for an hour
32:47Just you and me out on the floor
32:50Let's go a little longer
32:53It's here, it's stronger
32:55It's stronger, it's stronger
32:58Can you feel the vibe?
33:01Every time you move a little closer to me
33:03She's running through the body, not to let you should eat
33:05She's beating the air and everyone get into the speed
33:08Can you feel the vibe?
33:10Can you feel the vibe?
33:18Let's go a little longer
33:22It's heading stronger
33:24It's stronger, it's stronger
33:27Can you feel the vibe?
33:30Every time you move a little closer to me
33:33You're running through your body like electricity
33:35It's in the air and everywhere get into the speed
33:37Can you feel the vibe?
33:40It's shaking, it's shaking, it's making me dance
33:42It's stronger, it's stronger
33:43It's stronger, it's stronger
33:43It's stronger, it's stronger
33:44It's stronger
33:45Speaking body language
33:46Every moment you say
33:47Can you feel the vibe?
33:49Can you feel the vibe?
33:54Can you feel the vibe?
33:58Can you feel the vibe?
34:05Can you feel the vibe?
34:07Can you feel the vibe?
34:08Can you feel the vibe?
34:16Thank you
34:17Thank you
34:18Thank you
34:19Thank you
34:19Thank you
34:21Thank you
34:24Thank you
34:28Today's performance, I thought it was very good for you to think about yourself.
34:45I think it's going to be a good point for you to talk about it accurately.
34:48I think it's going to be a good point for you to think about the highest points of the 100 points.
34:53How do you think it's going to be a good point for you to think about how many points of the 100 points of the 100 points?
34:56Like a 65, I know I could have given more and been cleaner with everything.
35:07For me, I think it would be like 35, 40.
35:13About 70%, 65 to 70%, I'd say.
35:21I would say about 70%.
35:26I think I got like the base of it down.
35:31There's a lot of details and things to make sure it's all perfect that I missed out.
35:36I don't think so.
35:43I think it's really a problem.
35:46I think this is more than anything.
35:52I think this is going to be a game?
35:54I would say that I don't believe if I can play it.
35:58I don't think it's going to happen.
36:02What kind of confidence is it?
36:04Why is it going to happen?
36:06The passion.
36:14In this situation, the dance is the best.
36:19You have to show your passion.
36:23I don't understand the situation anymore.
36:31I need to do it.
36:35I need to do it.
36:38I need to do it.
36:42I need to do it.
36:45I need to do it.
36:50By the way, I can't do it.
36:54I can't do it.
36:56I can't do it.
36:58I can't do it.
37:02But you can't sing songs.
37:05It's not just a dance.
37:07It's just like the students.
37:09I don't think I've ever heard any of these things, but I don't think I've ever heard any of these things.
37:21I think it's too late. If you're watching this again,
37:27if you're watching this next time, if you're watching this again,
37:32I don't think I can't see it.
37:36Did you understand?
37:38Yes, yes.
37:40No camera.
37:42No camera.
37:54We're getting them down.
37:58Heejun has called an emergency meeting with the management team.
38:06MUSIC
38:12That was horrifically negative.
38:15Yeah.
38:17I didn't think it was basic level choreo though.
38:20That was basic level here in Korea.
38:23I can only speak for myself, but that, like, got kind of real.
38:27The all-round feedback for us was that we were terrible.
38:32We got ripped into in there.
38:35We expected something like this, just not this brutal.
38:39I think we've all worked hard this week.
38:41I've seen us all working hard.
38:44I think if anyone took it harder than anyone today,
38:47it would probably be Blaze.
38:50The standard here is...
38:53You think the top standard in the UK, what that is,
38:56imagine that times, like, a thousand.
38:59We can walk away from this just knowing the standard
39:02and knowing how hard we have to work now.
39:04I don't know what to think of, like, what she said to me.
39:08What did you agree with?
39:09Well, that I was the best singer and the best dancer.
39:12Because I, like I said, I don't agree.
39:14So it's like...
39:15Hmm.
39:16I genuinely wasn't expecting that today.
39:19Mainly because, like, through college, like, in my training,
39:23I've always kind of been that guy in the back.
39:26I was never, you know, that front centre guy that they loved
39:29and they thought was amazing.
39:31Don't put yourself down about it.
39:32In this situation, she said that you were the best in both aspects.
39:37Hmm.
39:38In K-pop.
39:39I've got very different ideas of a performer and an artist
39:45than what is idolised here.
39:48From that we can all gauge what it means,
39:52what she's looking for in a K-pop idol.
39:55I'm pretty confident in my perception of performance and abilities
40:00and I know that, at heart, I'm my own artist.
40:05Should we go back to what she said?
40:07She said that you guys were terrible.
40:08What she says, even if you don't agree, like, what she says is fact.
40:11We're in her territory.
40:13Oh, she hates us.
40:14Oh, no.
40:1650 minutes later, Dawn and Russ from management return.
40:25Wow.
40:26Wow.
40:27Yeah.
40:28Yeah.
40:29Well, how did you think it went?
40:34Bad.
40:35Bad, yeah.
40:36Yeah.
40:37I think that's been a reality check.
40:39Yeah, it was hard.
40:41We've got to go away, re-evaluate everything.
40:46The ultimate goal here is to impress Heijan.
40:50And one of her notes back to us was, I didn't go so hard because I didn't want to make them cry.
40:59And Blaise, um, look, she doesn't feel that you've listened enough to her today.
41:04She's so important that when you are asked or told something to do, you really take her on board.
41:10We're not going to sugarcoat anything because there's a lot at stake. There's a lot at stake here.
41:18Mediocracy doesn't cut it.
41:22Unless you're the best, they will put their name to you.
41:26You have to try harder.
41:28Harder.
41:29Harder.
41:30Harder.
41:31Next time.
41:33So, when I'm dancing, I'm not going to cry.
41:36I'm not going to cry.
41:37I'm not going to cry.
41:38I'm not going to cry.
41:39I'm not going to cry.
41:40I'm not going to cry.
41:41I'm not going to cry.
41:42I'm not going to cry.
41:43I'm not going to cry.
41:48For me, this is terrifying.
41:50500 school kids, eyes on me.
41:54What have we got, bro?
41:56Is it tonsillitis?
41:57It's like, it's contagious.
41:58My big insecurity is that I'm not wanted here.
42:01I'm not going to cry.
42:03And then I'm done with my sleep.
42:05I need to say, it's right.
42:06And I'm not going to cry.
42:07Just like this, so this is not enough.
42:08And after this, I'm not going to cry.
42:09Just like I'm coming back and I'll try this out.
42:12The End
42:15The End
42:19The End
42:21The End
42:22The End
42:24The End
