China’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the deadly suicide bombing outside a court in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, that killed at least 12 people and left several injured.
Speaking at a daily press briefing in Beijing, ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun expressed “profound condolences for the victims” and extended sympathies to the injured and the families of those killed. Guo confirmed that no Chinese nationals were among the casualties.
“China resolutely opposes terrorism in all its forms and will continue to steadfastly support Pakistan in combating terrorism, maintaining social stability, and safeguarding public safety,” Guo said.
