00:00Is Fortnite trying to be more like Roblox? Epic announced that it would allow third-party island
00:05creators to sell in-game items for V-Bucks and even use this image as an example, which feels
00:11very Grow-A-Guard encoded. 300 V-Bucks for a shovel item? Is that a good deal? Sounds like
00:16they're trying to get more people to start making islands because now there's even more money to be
00:20made. The V-Bucks that you'd receive as payout are automatically converted into U.S. dollars,
00:24after Epic takes a cut, of course. The list of items you can sell can be durable, consumable,
00:29and even random. However, Epic states that random items must clearly state the percentage chance of
00:34getting each one. At the end of the day, though, they are still allowing loot box-like mechanics in
00:38the game. You won't be seeing anything for sale just yet, but the tests are rolling out for creators
00:43starting today. What are your thoughts? Will this change Fortnite in a big way? Let us know.
