00:00So the current site here down along the river, it's a beautiful site.
00:04You can see that we've got an existing used BMX track just behind us.
00:09I have a vision of turning this parcel of land into a place where we can bring our children.
00:15We can come ride as adults, as kids and use this to get off the road, enjoy cycling,
00:22stay active and really get out on the bike.
00:25We're looking at three different options for a track here on this piece of land.
00:29Really to cater for three different levels of rider.
00:32A pump track for kids who are just starting to learn out from anywhere on a balanced bike to a small 16 inch BMX bike.
00:40It's really about getting those skills early on in life.
00:43And then working up to a BMX track that you can see behind me.
00:47It's quite a bigger step for those younger kids.
00:50And a one kilometre Criterium style track where we'll get adults, we'll get faster riders off the road
00:56onto this closed track where it's safe and they can push the speeds as fast as they can.
01:01I think the one kilometre sealed track is really going to be the big benefit to Bathurst.
01:06It's getting those people who want to stay active in the morning,
01:09don't want to ride in the fog, the cold mornings out on the road with the cars.
01:13Getting those people off the road onto this safe track.
01:16And then look, it's just as important getting kids on bikes, staying active and health style.
