The U.S. Navy’s largest and most advanced aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, has arrived near Venezuela amid escalating tensions with President Nicolás Maduro’s regime. The carrier strike group, including destroyers and F-35 jets, strengthens U.S. presence in the Caribbean. Washington says the move targets “narco-traffickers,” while Caracas calls it a pretext for regime change. With both sides ramping up defenses, fears of a potential U.S.-Venezuela conflict are rising fast.
