00:00hey real fans thanks for watching in today's episode jesse and meg you might have recognized

00:04them from mr hill's adorable wife reflect back on 2024 and what's in store for 2025

00:10in the year ahead

00:112024 was such an interesting year guys um i'd like to take some time to reflect back on

00:26what happened you know i think there was so many trends so many events what were some of like

00:30your challenges or lessons that you learned i probably learned how important patience is

00:36patience because this is the first year that i'm actually acting consistently and that's a huge

00:43goal for anyone who moves to la or anywhere to pursue thank you um anyone who pursues entertainment

00:49like that's the goal is to like do it consistently and not have to worry about paying bills and what

00:55you're going to do next month and i was teaching tennis like full time like my life was tennis it

01:01was non-stop i actually didn't know that about you i didn't know you you were teaching tennis

01:06that's pretty oh yeah you know well during covid you know we all had to survive all the entertainers

01:11especially like our jobs were gone so um i lucked out i started playing tennis i met someone who taught

01:18me the game and taught me how to teach people and then i was able to start making money from that

01:22it became a thing it was full time and i was just always outside on the courts teaching

01:27and all of a sudden i got this opportunity to work for real shorts and once it started rolling

01:34my life changed i didn't have to teach anymore i haven't taught since like the spring and so

01:41if you don't have patience if you don't have belief then it's just never going to work so

01:46i feel like this year i relearned that yeah i think i can relate to that because i think

01:51you know this year going slow i think i went much further if that makes sense so um sometimes being

01:59patient and moving slow gets you further out i mean i'm interested in knowing about you back

02:04but there's some some of your ideas i mean jesse has a big one patience i know how do i be patient

02:10right um mine's actually i feel like kind of the opposite because i'm used to kind of sitting back

02:17and trying to allow things to happen and this year i really like grabbed the bull by the horns and went

02:23for it um and stopped like postponing what i knew i wanted i mean you had a lot of changes right it was

02:28a big year yeah i was living in new york um i'd been living in manhattan for seven eight years um and

02:36decided that it was time to go across the country and i just kind of went for it so it's all been

02:43absolutely amazing i'm happier than ever yeah i mean it seems like you both did a lot of growth

02:47and there was so much so much that happened in 2024 i'm interested in knowing where how are you

02:53going to apply these lessons in 2025 i know you said you had so many changes you moved from new york

02:58to la and you about patience and staying consistent in something that you love how are you applying that

03:03and moving forward just continuing to to work and put the work in um and that's something that's so

03:09wonderful about these is you always have a guaranteed next job doing what you love and yeah i was lucky

03:15enough to start 2024 with a feature film and i'm finishing it with a short film this month

03:20um so just just lots of really wonderful acting experiences hopefully keep that going i'm really

03:26proud of you and i'm really excited for your growth and i'm really just really interested to see what

03:30you do with all this change in your life um i think it's a great time for us to uh play a little

03:36game and reflect back on some of the trends and events that happened in 2024 um let's play some bingo

03:46this is gonna be fun if you participated in any of these 2024 cultural trends draw an x the first one

03:57is going to be use the word demure whoever gets three in a row will win okay jesse use the word demure this

04:12and wolverine do the credits count come on jesse you didn't no i haven't seen it none of these okay this is

04:20this one's for you jesse wore brat green do you know what brat green is no no jesse no it's like

04:28the offensive neon green that everyone wore this year it's the color of 2024

04:33but is an ex as an accessory do his eyes count am i a brat you want to step outside okay jesse i got

04:40you with this one watch the olympics okay did that

04:45which sport which sport did you enjoy track and field okay i love the track and field um the swimming

04:54swimming um tennis this tennis tennis yes big year for tennis yeah that was huge okay what about went

05:03to coachella no i don't think either of us i've never been to a coachella wow i know you're from

05:12um the east coast what about you jesse where are you oh i'm from south you're from the south

05:17yeah i'm from texas well we'll get to that later wait bingo i did it okay read it and weep

05:24which were the three ones that you didn't participate in this year i watched the olympics

05:28okay free space and we wore brat green i didn't ask you what what sport did you like to watch in

05:34the olympics gymnastics of course that was my favorite that was definitely my favorite too

05:38it's queen what do you what do you mean of course it's the most interesting oh i'm gonna get some

05:43haters from this no all the sports are equally interesting okay jesse i want to know if you

05:49participated in any of these next trends i know meg you won um but i think i want to know played

05:55pickleball i played pickleball that i did mm-hmm i did did you no i swear i've played it okay i'm

06:04not one of those tennis players that like talks crap about it and since you don't know what brat

06:09green is have you listened to sabrina carpenter she sings oh my god he doesn't yeah espresso okay

06:17yes i'm so proud of you i have heard it on the radio come on 2024 was full of brat green

06:23and sabrina carpenter espresso yeah that song i do remember do you know what y2k um it's like

06:30ice girl nope well kind of not a bathroom friend though but yeah um what else do you have like the

06:37white clunky sneakers no no that's y2k that was more like 2010 so what's an example he has an

06:43understanding though yeah there's like yeah i'm in the ballpark like cheetah print right

06:47low-waisted capris crop top tube tops 90s influence fashion what does that mean what's 90s

06:55tube tops tube tops i think tube tops could be y2k my mom was dressing me up until you know not

07:012000 well yeah almost until 2010 no trust me the only reason i know how to dress is because my mom

07:07helped me thank you mom thanks mom thanks mom well that was so much fun i loved playing bingo with

07:13you guys and getting to know all the trends that jesse participated in in 2024 i think it was really

07:19interesting knowing all your lessons and highlights and challenges but i'm really curious to know what

07:25is in store for 2025 well more amazing projects that's one yes two for me is i want to be online

07:34more i want more of a social media presence i've been slacking in the past i've always been told to do

07:39it and it's just the last thing i think about like at the end of the day next year i really want to try

07:44and make an effort to really have more of a social media presence so look out for that i think the fans

07:52would love to connect with you i think they'll be very excited to see more of jesse online yeah i know i

07:59am what about you meg what is in store for you what for 2025 i want to get more into the hobbies that i

08:05used to embrace a lot and this year has been so busy so i've lost them a little bit like gymnastics

08:09and singing and maybe teaching singing a little bit um now that i'm settled here um but also

08:16settling here more getting an apartment and uh embracing the city and yeah we'll start we'll start

08:22there i think that's very very exciting for both of you i think 2025 is going to be your year

08:27thanks any new year plans any new year plans how are you guys bringing in the new year i'm such an old

08:33man when it comes to new year's like when i was younger in my 20s i uh i was dancing all the time

08:39i used to go to vegas every year performing this show at a casino in front of lots of people like

08:44thousands and it was fun but it was exhausting and so also i kind of felt it saw it all out there

08:53and um vegas is a big place to celebrate new year's it's a lot yeah he's done it all and he's done

08:58i did the whole like waking up at or no going to bed at 6 a.m 7 a.m like celebrating all night

09:06i did all that so now new year's is like refreshing you cherish a night in yeah i tell myself you know

09:12what i'm gonna wake up early on january 1st get the year started right patience and in bed early on

09:18new year's i'm telling you it's what it takes goals jesse's goals for 2025 we'll see if it happens

09:25boring but that's the goal boring okay meg what type of plans do you have i actually i'm also boring

09:31i'm flying back here from new york on december 30th so i don't really have any plans here yet

09:39i'm figuring it out um i also lived quite a life when i was a little bit younger i know i'm young

09:44but um i i do also love a night in but yeah i'm flying out to new york on monday to do a short film

09:52and stay for the holidays a little bit and then i'm flying back on the 30th so i'm not sure exactly

09:56how much i'll want to do on the 30th yeah it'll be a spontaneous day for you yeah we'll see

10:02i love seeing you guys work together and act together i think you guys have great chemistry

10:08what would you say was different about working on the set i know that the first show that you guys

10:12were on you guys were in new york and now you're in la is there any fun moments or any experiences

10:17that you guys had on set here yeah i think i think it was fun because this was my first time

10:22working with someone for the second time and we had such great chemistry the first time it was exciting

10:28to get back to that and see if it was still there and what else could happen because you're always

10:33searching for something as a creative and trying to figure out what's going to come out in the moment

10:38and working with someone who you know very well and already have chemistry with it allows you to

10:42be even more free and not so like second guessing each other and just you already know like how each

10:48other uh work and it's natural yeah yeah so it allows you to flow more and have more fun too

10:54joke around and we were making little dances and the first one you know i was just i was super serious

11:01trying to do my best and so in this one we were able to just kind of let go and be more free

11:06and we probably had too much fun we were just laughing the whole time

11:11so before we head on to part two let's do a toast to 2025

11:16let's do it yeah i can't wait
