00:23Among the singers in this country,

00:25you're probably one of the very few

00:27who can actually, one of the very few who can play,

00:30you know, the guitar, piano, drums, keyboard, right?

00:38Do you have any other keyboard and piano, right?

00:40Actually, it's just the same.

00:43Just with keys.

00:45The one is digital.

00:47Right.

00:48They can play musical instruments.

00:50The question is,

00:52is your life easier as a songwriter,

00:55and as a singer,

00:56because you play all these musical instruments?

00:59For me, parang advantage kasi siya, Tito Boy.

01:02Since, parang nai-invento ko kasi minsan yung lyrics

01:05and yung melody sa isip ko.

01:07But at the same time, I can also, you know,

01:10hear the actual chords of these, you know,

01:15melodies na nare-recreate sa uta ko.

01:18So, parang somehow, nakakagawa ako ng piyesa.

01:22Oo. Pag gumagawa ka ng piyesa,

01:25pag gumagawa ka ng kwento, ng kanta,

01:27narinig mo ba yung music una?

01:30Una o una ba yung letra?

01:32What is the process?

01:34Iba-iba kasi actually, Tito Boy.

01:36Depende, no?

01:37It really depends on my mood.

01:38But usually, whenever I write songs,

01:41meron akong mga naka-record ng mga melodies,

01:44na kunwari sa sobrang random moments,

01:47nai-iisip ko siya,

01:48or like parang minsan nga napapanaginipan ko,

01:50ang weird.

01:51Okay.

01:52Napapanaginipan ko siya,

01:53tapos parang nire-record ko siya,

01:54parang hindi ko siya makalimutan.

01:56And then, yung lyrics,

01:59parang nandun na rin siya,

02:00because I love writing notes.

02:02So, lahat ng nasa thought process ko,

02:05sinusulat ko lang siya.

02:06And then, kung ano yung match dun sa melody,

02:09or kung ano yung mai-iisip ko after that,

02:12that's how it continues.

02:16You know, I keep on referring,

02:17yung frame of reference ko dito si Ogie Alcacid,

02:19because many, many years ago,

02:21I did an interview with Ogie,

02:22and he spoke about how easier it is

02:25to write songs pag-heartbroken.

02:28The highs and lows.

02:30You've been in a long-term relationship

02:33with parang raver.

02:35And the highs and lows,

02:37is it easier to perform,

02:39to write music pag medyo may problema,

02:42or when you're happy?

02:44Mixed emotions talaga tito boy eh.

02:47Kasi, there are times when I feel really vulnerable.

02:52It comes with a certain level of vulnerability

02:56para makagawa ako ng ganitong klaseng...

03:02Like awit,

03:03or pyesa,

03:04ganyan.

03:05Pero, it doesn't really have to be like,

03:07oh, I have to be,

03:08I have to be super sad,

03:09I have to be super,

03:10you know,

03:11lugmok or whatsoever ganyan.

03:12Because, you know,

03:13sometimes it comes in waves.

03:14Like, whenever I'm super happy,

03:16it doesn't really,

03:17you know,

03:18it doesn't matter if you're happy.

03:19Or if you're happy.

03:20Kunwari, ako,

03:21super saya ko,

03:22diba?

03:23Tapos,

03:24susulat ako ng malungkot na kanta.

03:25Minsan, ganun kasi tito boy eh.

03:26Parang,

03:27when you're feeling all these kinds of emotions,

03:29you just,

03:30you just want to like,

03:32create something out of it.

03:33Sandali.

03:34So, ibig sabihin,

03:35posible,

03:36na masaya ka,

03:37but you can write a sad song.

03:39Yes.

03:41may mga nasusulat ako,

03:42mga ganyan.

03:43Like,

03:45super happy ko with,

03:49ah,

03:50parang anukot naman ito.

03:51Pero happy talaga ako.
