Suicide Car Bomb in Islamabad: 12 Killed in Terror Attack Outside High Court Complex

A suicide car bomb attack outside the G-11 judicial complex in Islamabad, Pakistan, has reportedly killed at least twelve people and injured several others. The blast, caused by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, struck a supposedly secure area in the nation's capital. In the immediate aftermath, Pakistan's Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, has attributed blame to Afghanistan, a claim made as another terror incident was reported at the Cadet College in Wana, South Waziristan. According to India Today's Pranay Upadhyay, 'this incident took place in the heart of Islamabad, the judicial complex, which is supposed to be a very secure complex.' No group has officially claimed responsibility for the Islamabad attack.

00:49investigations haven't been carried out so far but pakistan's defense minister is already blaming

00:55afghanistan he's blaming the taliban in kabul for this suicide attack outside the islamabad high

01:09killed there are several who are injured it does appear to be a case of vb ied once again a vehicle

01:27incident this blast took place at the uh at the g11 the judicial complex of the islamabad high court

01:34and uh this is similar to to what happened in in delhi as well because uh a vehicle blew up up uh it was

01:41laden with a with a improvised uh uh explosive device and uh it the impact was so huge that in

01:49the even in the judicial complex the many uh you know uh the glasses were shattered and in fact the

01:53many vehicles got impacted out of this blast and around 12 people are dead many are injured and uh you

02:00know uh similarly like you know what happened in delhi does similarly that many body pieces were scattered

02:06here and there so definitely the the matter is under investigation you mentioned that pakistan's

02:11defense minister kawaza asif uh as a matter of practice he always uh you know jumps the gun and

02:16he he blamed others so he has already put the blame on afghanistan but we do not know exactly that

02:21who uh has taken the responsibility about uh this this incident uh as far as this thing is concerned

02:27but there is another incident which is also underway in in wana the cadet college of wana in pakistan

02:33where the gunfight was lasted for many hours uh the suicide of the the attackers entered the cadet

02:40college of wana south waziristan in pakistan so pakistan has its own intrinsic fissures it has

02:45its own intrinsic problems where uh the you know many incidents keep taking place at various places

02:51indeed so you're saying that there have been two attacks in pakistan one in wana one in islamabad

03:00and this pranay seemed to be a part of a pattern of wider attacks on security forces

03:05now in the heart of pakistan but earlier a series that was taking place in khaybar pakhtoonghua and in

03:12baluchistan absolutely garam not only in khaybar pakhtoonghua baluchistan but even incident took

03:18place in punjab and and and sindh as well so so entire pakistan is actually burning with with so many

03:24protests with so many uh differences and with with so many agitations and uh amid the all these things

03:30uh there have been attacks in in kpk region there have been attacks on in uh we we know what happened

03:35in baluchistan a few months ago and now this incident took place in the heart of islamabad uh

03:41the judicial complex which is supposed to be a very secure complex uh so much of of uh military and and

03:47the the security presence remains there for different uh you know to to secure the complex but

03:52this incident took place uh just just a while ago few a few uh you know hours ago and this car which

03:58was there uh around the g11 judicial complex which uh which was laden with the explosive and blew up

04:04uh this is considered as a suicide bombing attack uh carried out by by a certain section of people we

04:10do not know who exactly carried out this attack but this incident actually uh took life of 12 uh 12
