Panic grips the capital as investigators uncover disturbing details in the Delhi Red Fort blast case. Forensic teams have found no visible crater or shrapnel, suggesting the use of a sophisticated low-intensity explosive device. Early reports indicate a deadly mix of Ammonium Nitrate and RDX — a combination often linked to highly coordinated terror attacks.

The blast site near Red Fort has been sealed off for forensic examination, with bomb squads and NIA officials working jointly to trace the origins of the explosive materials. Authorities suspect a planned attempt to trigger panic rather than cause mass casualties.

00:00Forex team taking the remains there in that blue polythene bag also being attributed to
00:06the chemical explosives. The possible link with the Faridabad seizure was also being looked into
00:14Faridabad, Uluwama and Dr. Umar. As the day progresses here in the national capital,
00:20the activities at the blast site is also warming up. The police investigators,
00:25the forensic lab experts are all geared up. Now, the rapid action force has also been
00:31deployed here to maintain the authority of the investigative agencies here so that no
00:38untoward incident also takes place. It's a hugely, hugely, densely populated area.
00:44Just look at the officials here. Also, you would see how the place, how significant it is as of now.
00:51Netaji Subhash Marg is a place where the blast took place. This is the road that connects
00:56obviously Delhi to the NCR region and also Chris Trosses, the central part of Delhi.
01:02If you would take a look at it, this place is so secure that you have to pay 20,000 rupees
01:09as penalty if you enter this particular zone. This is the Chandni Chowk area, which is the business hub
01:15of old Delhi. 20,000 rupees as penalty tells you how the strict rules are there. Look at the CCTV
01:22cameras on the poles also. All of them are there. And now, rapid action force officials standing right
01:29at the barricade where all the media houses are standing. And a lot of activity going on here
01:35when it comes to the probe of the blast that took place. Important aspect here is that the blast site,
01:45which is covered with those white cloths, the car, two cars are still there inside that perimeter,
01:53which has been now secured. No craters have been found. No sharp nails have been found. And it is
01:59suspected that is the use of chemical explosive mixture of ammonium nitrate and RDX. Remember RDX is
02:06something that always pops up in mind. The story from Faridabad where roughly 300 kilograms of ammonium
02:14nitrate was seized. And that tells you the story how the plan was made to inflict maximum casualty here
02:24in the state. This is the temple. Now, as you see, there's some activity at the Digamba Jain Lal Mandir,
02:31which is barely 10 to 15 meters from the blast site. And it appears that the mandir officials are also
02:38speaking to the media. They are planning to come out and the media is trying to get a soundbite from them
02:45that what did they see. Obviously, the blast was so intense that the shock waves must have been felt
02:53in and around this area of 100 meters. But the blast audio was palpable. And you must have seen videos
03:03doing rounds where some of the YouTubers who are making the videos were also taken back. These are the
03:11samples that have been collected by the cops, video recorded all the elements and forex team taking the
03:18remains there in that blue polythene bag. So this is obviously the sharp nails, the FSL Delhi team collecting
03:29the samples from there and they are leaving nothing to chance, leaving no stone unturned. Look at the distance
03:40between this temple and the blast site. This tells you the intensity. If things have flown from there till
03:48here, that tells you the story. So the nature of the blast, as I was mentioning, is something also being
03:56attributed to the chemical explosives. And a plausible explanation is soon expected. But as of now,
04:05nothing with certainty has been given to the media. And the possible link with the
04:13Faridabad seizure was also being looked into. And we have, you know, seen it in the past also that
04:21only after intense probe would the forensic team be able to get to the bottom of the story. Initial probe
04:32led the police to a man named Salman from Gurgaon, who allegedly owned the HR 26-7674 I-20 car involved
04:40in the blast. Then he tells the police that he had sold the car to someone named Devinder. In March,
04:47police then contacted the RTO to fetch further details of the sellers. Fictitious IDs were used and one of
04:52them was also a Pulwama resident. So these three keywords, Faridabad, Pulwama and Dr. Umar, is
05:00something that is giving a tough time to the investigative agencies. Meanwhile, the forensic science
05:07laboratories personnel are doing their due diligence to go to get to the bottom of the nature of the
05:14explosion. This is Pankaj Misha reporting from the blast site in New Delhi with camera person Imran Shah
05:21for One India.
