00:00Water has returned to Embervale.

00:02Welcome to Valewater Basin, a brand new water biome shaped by the ruins of the Old World.

00:14The first massive addition to the Embervale is the Valewater Basin, a new high level area

00:20as beautiful as it is dangerous.

00:22Step straight into the landscape of tropical jungles, lakes and waterways and discover

00:28long lost ruins and temples.

00:31Some of these are abandoned and in many others you will meet the Drac, a reptilian species

00:36who fought humanity for control of the region for ages.

00:40When the Shroud took over Embervale, this ancient enemy resurfaced to reclaim their place in

00:45the world.

00:46And, unlike you, they can actually fight underwater.

00:51You shall fight them on the beaches.

00:54You shall fight them on the mangroves.

00:58These new bad guys aside, the area is home to new building blocks, terrain types as well

01:03as the new furniture but also a brand new feature to play with.

01:08The Water in and Shroud is simulated in real time.

01:12You can bring water to your builds and even use water wheels to prove your crafting.

01:17Use a variety of tools to generate, carry, drain water and siphon or fill up lakes, puddles

01:23and barrels.

01:25The world is your oyster.

01:27Now, there are limits to how much water the game and your computer can simulate before something

01:32starts smelling of burnt plastic again.

01:35But as with everything else, we will keep working on performance so that everyone can get the

01:39most out of and shrouded.

01:41The watering can now shows you useful information about each plan and lets you set maximum growth

01:46state.

01:47Yes, including trees.

01:49You asked, we answered.

01:52Last but not least, water currently passes through objects and props.

01:55But we know many of you will want to build underwater bases, whether it's a secret entrance to

02:00your castle or a full-on Atlantis.

02:03So we've included water barrier walls, which can be placed vertically or horizontally.

02:08Look fantastic.

02:09And most importantly, don't let water through.

02:15Now we recently shared a depth update with you on a bunch of changes we're making to

02:19improve and shroud it.

02:20We don't have the time to go into that here.

02:22So make sure you go check it out in the one of the corners of the screen.

02:27Here's the thing.

02:28Thanks to your feedback on the video, we have improved the chances to get high-end loot in

02:32gold chests.

02:35Great Swords.

02:36Finally, you can slash your way into enshradden and whether you've got something to compensate

02:41for or you want to look cool as hell, you're sure to make an impression.

02:46There is also a new skill to unlock for two-handed weapons that will give you the spin to win

02:50attack so many of you have asked for.

02:54While we're talking about that, there is a bunch of new skills available, including some

02:58that will help you swim longer, dodge attacks underwater, increase your resistances and

03:03also, yes, go full Spartan mode on your enemies.

03:10Of course, all of this comes with a level cap increase from 35 to 45, with weapon levels

03:15increasing to 15.

03:17Now, everybody, quality of life.

03:20Here's a bunch of things that are cool enough to warrant a shoutout.

03:24Number one.

03:25Players can now leave during hollow-haul runs and continue at the last visited save point

03:29at the later time.

03:30Number two.

03:31Server admins can now add filter tags to their servers.

03:34This makes it easier for other players to find a just perfect new home.

03:38Number three.

03:39Server bans are now persistent after server restart.

03:42This should notably help protect resource worlds from griefing and from Steve.

03:48Number four.

03:49Just like the good old days of Arena FPS, key and button rebinds are more flexible.

03:54Number five.

03:55As mentioned in the dev update video, chests and defeated foes now remember their state,

04:00so no more cheesing the loot.

04:02They will respawn normally after the area has been left alone for long enough.

04:08But wait, there is more.
