00:04But it's actually Isaiah that led me to the Lord.

01:08As the New Testament presents Yeshua the Messiah at its theme,
01:13so Isaiah presents Yeshua the Messiah as his theme.
01:18Isaiah has been called the fifth evangelist.
01:22The book of Isaiah has been called the fifth gospel.
01:25Messiah's virgin birth, his character, his life, his death, his resurrection,
01:32and his second coming are all presented in Isaiah with definiteness and clarity.
01:41You can see that also, of course, in the books of the New Testament as they quote.
01:46And I chose to put this now so you can see that the book of Isaiah has so many.

02:29It is chiseled into the rock of the New Testament with a power tool of the Holy Spirit.
02:35I mean, you can just look, it's amazing how one book in the Old Testament can contain when it comes to our Messiah.
02:43But all in all, it's just not just a Messiah.
02:46If you really look at the structure and the style and the content of the book of Isaiah in relation to the rest of the Bible,
02:54you can clearly see that Isaiah is like a mini Bible.
02:59There are 66 books in the Bible and there are 66 chapters in Isaiah.
03:02There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in New Testament.
03:09And there are 39 chapters on the law in Isaiah and 27 chapters on grace in Isaiah.
03:17It's very beautiful to see how the book of Isaiah is a reflection of actually the entire Bible.
03:24And as the hope of Israel was already in the first chapter of the Magna Carta of our faith,
03:33which is the book of Romans, speaking of the salvation of Israel to the Jew first, if you remember.
03:41It is also in the first chapter of the grace portion of Isaiah himself.
03:50An amazing prophet who lived to see, unfortunately, the very last days of the kingdom of Judah in Israel
04:00at the time before the diaspora to Babylon.
04:05And when we come to examine Isaiah chapter 40, verse 1 and also verse 2,
04:13we have to ask ourselves the question, who is Isaiah really talking about?
04:21Because the Hebrew, and that's where I have a tiny little advantage here,
04:28the Hebrew is using an interesting language here.
04:33It says, and I want you to look at each other right now and say the Hebrew words,
04:40Nachamu, Nachamu Ami.

04:55The word Nachamu, it means comfort.
04:58But it is, listen to this now, it is in the plural case and the imperative case.
05:06It's a command to a group of people to comfort God's people.

05:21The language is comfort.

06:42Now it's interesting because the Bible says that Moses said to the Lord,
06:46look how amazing Moses is.

09:49It's just not there.
09:50It's only in the minds of the self-righteous people
09:53that think that,
09:55Oh, how can God be so faithful to a nation
09:58that is still in disbelief?
10:00And it's this insecurity of so many Christians,
10:04and then they resort to replacement theology
10:06and all of the other trashy things
10:09that completely distort their understanding
10:11of the entire Word of God,
10:13and mostly the eschatology,
10:16the teachings of the future, of prophecy.
10:20So again, Isaiah says,
10:24Comfort, yes, comfort my people.
10:26So he's talking to a group of people
10:29and commanding them to comfort his people.
10:36Telling them,
10:38Don't judge them
10:39because they are going to pay
10:44for all the sins.
10:47There's always sin and consequence
10:52relations that you see throughout the Bible
10:55with Israel and God.
10:57Israel was punished over and over again and again,
11:01but it never ever changed the fact
11:04that God is faithful to his promises to them.
11:08It never changed his mind also.
11:11So my question to you this morning is,
11:16Who is able to comfort them?
11:20Is there any group of people
11:25on planet Earth
11:27that exists today
11:29that is the only group of people
11:31that is able to comfort God's people?
11:34You got that done right.
11:40The church is the only people
11:42with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit,
11:46the Spirit of which God?
11:50The God of Israel.
11:53In 2 Corinthians chapter 1 says,
11:55Blessed be the God and Father
11:58of our Lord Jesus Christ,
12:00the Father of mercies
12:02and the God of all comfort
12:04who comforts us
12:07in all our tribulation
12:09that we,
12:11let's read that together,
12:13that we may be able
12:15to comfort
12:17those that are in any trouble
12:20with the comfort
12:22with which we ourselves
12:24are comforted by God.
12:26Do you understand that?
12:27Which comfort
12:29can the world offer?
12:34None.
12:36Because the world
12:37has not been comforted
12:39by that amazing thing,
12:42by the comforter.
12:43Who is the comforter?
12:44The Holy Spirit.
12:46There is no group
12:47on planet Earth
12:48that is the walking temple
12:51of the Holy Spirit
12:52but the church.
12:54There is no person
12:56on planet Earth
12:57that can truly understand
12:59what comfort is
13:01without having the comforter
13:03dwelling in Him.
13:04Not upon Him.
13:05Not next to Him.
13:06In Him.
13:07Part of Him.
13:10And so,
13:11the only group of people
13:13that is not just able
13:15but actually is commanded
13:20to comfort God's people,
13:25Israel,
13:26is the church.
13:30And right now,
13:32I should expect
13:35all churches
13:36all across the globe
13:38to post comforting messages
13:41to post comforting messages
13:41for Israel
13:43and for the hostages,
13:46for the Jewish people,
13:47for what is going on,
13:49for this crazy,
13:50crazy deception
13:52that is going on
13:53around the world right now.
13:54I've never seen anything
13:57like that in my entire life.
13:59This,
13:59I mean,
14:00obviously it's the fruit
14:01of social media
14:02that it's way stronger
14:04nowadays
14:04than any other time before.
14:07But when you have to resort
14:08of bringing photos
14:10of children from Yemen
14:11or AI-generated photos
