00:00Previously on Project Runway.
00:02Top five.
00:04You will be making a look for women and men who
00:07struggle with eczema.
00:08It should be comfortable on their skin,
00:11and it needs to produce a jaw-dropping reveal.
00:14This is going to be bananas.
00:16Everybody here has won a challenge.
00:18I haven't won.
00:19You're going to win.
00:19I've been this close.
00:20I'm like, this is my challenge.
00:22I don't know about the silver.
00:23It's a bit effeminate.
00:25I really like the design.
00:27Antonio and Vijay.
00:29You made our two favorite looks on the runway.
00:32Antonio, congratulations.
00:34You're the winner.
00:34You had our favorite look this week.
00:37I finally win.
00:40I think you being in the top is ludicrous.
00:43You didn't even have a reveal at all.
00:45What the ?
00:46Pelania, Jesus, both of your looks failed as a reveal.
00:50And even worse, you failed your client.
00:53You're both out.
00:56Whoa.
00:57Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:59What the ?
01:03A stake for the winner is $200,000, a spread in Elle magazine,
01:08and a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
01:12This is Project Runway.
01:21Tonight, you're both out.
01:28I'm in shock.
01:29Me and Jesus, we're the two that got two wins.
01:33This is out of control.
01:36I'm literally in lots of words.
01:38I've performed so well in this competition.
01:41I think I also delivered something nice on the runway,
01:45and I had a reveal.
01:46So I'm so confused as of why BJ is not sitting in my spot
01:50right now.
01:52I'm sorry.
01:52But that is until someone convinced us otherwise.
02:08What the ?
02:09Hello.
02:12I think you're both really talented and worked really hard.
02:15I know you did, right?
02:17I convinced the judges that you both should stay.
02:23Oh, baby.
02:30Oh, I'm not going home.
02:32Ah, yes.
02:35If it wasn't for Christian, you both would be getting my
02:38FB does in today.
02:40I don't think we should get rid of either of them.
02:42Really?
02:42They both won challenges.
02:43They're both talented.
02:45And then only three to the finale.
02:47I think it's a great idea.
02:48No, you can't pick me up.
02:52I'm not going to pick you up.
02:54Please do.
02:55I'm so excited that my dream is still alive,
02:58and I have never been more motivated to make it to the
03:01finale than I am right now.
03:02Good luck.
03:03Thank you so much.
03:04Good luck.
03:05This is great work.
03:07Oh, is this going home?
03:10Oh, my God.
03:12I don't know.
03:15Bitch, I'm also in.
03:16Ah!
03:17Ah!
03:18Ah!
03:19Ah!
03:20No, but we're hot!
03:21Ah!
03:22Ah!
03:23Ah!
03:24Ah!
03:25Christian said that he wants to see both of us in,
03:29because we've made great work.
03:30So we're both safe.
03:32Are you kidding me?
03:33I want Jesus to go home.
03:35Christian, what are you doing?
03:38Shut up.
03:39The bitch is back, and I'm not going home.
03:42It's on.
03:43Oh, my God.
03:44Get out of my way.
03:49Tots, Tots, mama.
03:50Ah!
03:51Ah!
03:52Hello, designers.
03:53Hi, Heidi.
03:54Hi.
03:55The final five.
03:56Oh.
03:57Oh.
03:58I feel like I've slept up before.
03:59I know.
04:00Deja Vu.
04:01It's top five.
04:02We're all still here.
04:03I'm coming up a win.
04:04Wow.
04:05Let me take a deep breath.
04:10This feeling is good.
04:11I am more confident as a solo designer than I've ever been,
04:14and the finish line is really, really, really close.
04:17There's five of you, but unfortunately, only three of you
04:20will make it to the big finale.
04:22This is the most important challenge of this competition.
04:29This is the challenge before the finale,
04:32and knowing the two of us are going home,
04:35I can't mess this up.
04:36I just can't.
04:37Because this challenge determines who is going to the finale,
04:41we had to do something very, very special.
04:44Take a look.
04:45Roll the clip!
04:47Oh, hi, Heidi.
04:52And hello, designers.
04:53It's Oz's most popular witches.
04:54Whoa.
04:55Ah!
04:56Cynthia!
04:57Ariana!
04:58We hear this season of Project Runway has more twists and turns
05:01than the yellow brick road.
05:02And we're certain the experience has changed you for good.
05:05We wish we could be there in person,
05:06but you are in amazing and talented hands.
05:08We're pleased to welcome to the runway the most swankified man in Oz.
05:12Oscar-winning costume designer of Wicked.
05:14Wow.
05:15And the upcoming Wicked for Good, Paul Tazewell.
05:17Good luck, designers.
05:18Wow.
05:19Ah!
05:20Wow.
05:21Wow.
05:22Woo!
05:23Are you crying?
05:24Designers?
05:25Wow.
05:26It is such an honor to have you here.
05:28Oh, thank you.
05:29It's so great to be here.
05:32Paul Tazewell is the first African-American man
05:35to win an Oscar for best costume design.
05:39On top of, like, all his other accolades,
05:41because he's been really running these costume design
05:44Broadway streets since the 90s.
05:46So, you know, just in the presence of an icon.
05:48No big deal.
05:49You will be creating an avant-garde look
05:52based on the themes of the upcoming movie,
05:55Wicked for Good.
05:58To help inspire you, you are getting a sneak peek.
06:01Stop.
06:02Stop.
06:07You're the only friend I ever had.
06:13But there's no going back.
06:19They're coming for you.
06:20I have enjoyed
06:25Think of what we can do.
06:26Together.
06:34Wow.
06:37I can relate to this so much
06:39because Antonio and I have such a strong brotherhood.
06:42And Linda and Elphaba have such a strong sisterhood.
06:45So, like, wow, this is such a beautiful challenge
06:48for Antonio and I.
06:50Wicked focuses on the power of friendship,
06:53marginalization of people that are different,
06:56and also self-empowerment.
06:58So, it's on you, hopefully, to take that inspiration
07:01and create it in your own way
07:03and reimagine the idea of Oz.
07:06And what if I told you
07:08you might have not only one day,
07:11but, you know, two days?
07:14Yay!
07:17Oh, my God.
07:18Finally!
07:19Girl, I'm about to cry.
07:20A lot of emotions.
07:22I got saved.
07:23Paul Taswell.
07:24Wicked.
07:25Avant-garde.
07:26Damn it.
07:28Paul and Christian will meet you guys in the workroom
07:30where there will be some other surprises.
07:32So, enjoy.
07:33Good luck to all of you.
07:35Good luck to show.
07:36Good girl.
07:37Good girl.
07:38Good girl.
07:39Good girl.
07:40Good girl.
07:41Good girl.
07:42Good girl.
07:43Hi, designers.
07:44So fragile.
07:45So expensive.
07:46So designer.
07:47Is this for Rio?
07:49So, not only did you get a special look at the film,
07:52you also get this fabulous special look at the costumes
07:55from the film, which is incredible.
07:57And you're gonna get to talk directly with the man
07:59who made it all come to life.
08:01What you see before you is Elphaba and Glinda.
08:05For Elphaba, I leaned into all that was organic.
08:09I was influenced by mycelia, bark, the underside of mushrooms.
08:14Speechless.
08:15With Glinda, it's all that is artificial.
08:18All that is sparkly and beautiful.
08:20I then wanted to really establish that idea of the iridescent bubble.
08:25Swirls and those things that are whimsical.
08:28And pink and green define what the world of Wicked is.
08:32Think about this idea.
08:33Taking the inspiration of Wicked for good, but still avant-garde.
08:36And whatever that means to you and your brand and your work.
08:39Still needs to be fashion.
08:40It's still a runway.
08:41Push it.
08:42Really hard.
08:44You guys go sketch and we'll come around.
08:49This is my challenge.
08:51I'm good at avant-garde.
08:53Good luck to the designers.
08:54Good luck.
08:55Hi, I'm Glinda.
08:57What?
08:58Obviously.
08:59I'm thinking about doing a head-to-toe pink beaded bodysuit with gloves.
09:04And do a beautiful cape of Arganza.
09:07Amazing.
09:08Well, make sure that you're also thinking about avant-garde.
09:10Like something you've never seen before.
09:12Yeah.
09:13Because like a pink bodysuit is fabulous.
09:14But like Jennifer Lopez will literally wear that every single night.
09:17And a flower cape, Valentino's made for like 20 years.
09:20So push it more.
09:22I'm not worried at all.
09:23I hope my win last week can carry me through this challenge and into the finale.
09:28My biggest competition is my brother.
09:29And I feel like I finally catch up to him.
09:33The judges really are going to see what Antonio Estrada is capable of.
09:37I wanted to tap more into the nature side.
09:40So I thought about a beautiful tree.
09:42Nature has no linear lines.
09:44Absolutely.
09:45But remember, you know, still want that fashion moment.
09:48I'm trying to use the design style that I discovered for myself.
09:53Sophisticated street wear and push it to avant-garde.
09:56The pressure is turned up to 5,000.
10:01And I really, really, really want to make it to the finale.
10:04So I'm determined to deliver.
10:06Wicked For Good is a movie about friendship being torn apart.
10:10And I kind of want to create a fabric that's kind of like peeling off or being torn apart.
10:16I really want it to be crazy, but in a good way.
10:19I mean, what I'm seeing is really exciting.
10:21Huge fan of texture.
10:23Also, like, your work is, you know, very quiet sometimes.
10:25I think this has to be the fantasy.
10:27Yes.
10:28Right?
10:29I really agree with Krishan.
10:30My work, it's very quiet because I think that there is beauty in simplicity.
10:37But avant-garde should not be quiet.
10:40I love to play with restraint.
10:43A lot of Elphaba's journey.
10:45She's restraining herself because of her skin.
10:48Growing up, I was a little queer kid, and I didn't know really how to express myself.
10:54And so when I saw Wicked, it did help me, like, feel comfortable on my own skin.
10:58And yeah, it really means a lot to me.
11:00Ugh.
11:01I'm obsessed.
11:02And so I want to play with this beautiful crystal overlay off the shoulders.
11:08Just it flowing down into just beautiful fabric.
11:12You did do the first challenge where you had a glove through your giant wind cape, and that standing still might not be enough.
11:21This needs to be incredible.
11:24Which you, above all people, can do.
11:28Mm.
11:29Avant-garde is my bread and butter.
11:31I think that I could do a hybrid of what I've done before, but these decisions are the ones that are gonna push me into the finale, so I gotta make the right decisions.
11:38It's a lot of pressure.
11:39I have a really strong connection with Elphaba.
11:44I want to create this really amazing avant-garde coat dress with really huge hips.
11:52I don't know if avant-garde is in Jesus' wheelhouse, because he makes a lot of beautiful dresses, but a beautiful dress is not avant-garde.
12:01Then I want to mold the collar into around the neck and into a hat.
12:06I mean, the silhouette of the dress is something that we've seen before.
12:10It's literally exactly the same.
12:12I don't know what he's thinking.
12:14This challenge might be Jesus' downfall.
12:17I got this.
12:22And we're back.
12:23This is probably the most important shop of the season.
12:25Five of you left.
12:26Two of you go home on this challenge.
12:28Fabric is so important.
12:3030 minutes.
12:31$1,000 a shop.
12:32I love money.
12:33And I love spending other people's money.
12:35Ready, go.
12:36On your broomstick.
12:37I have been eyeing this crystal fabric, and I find this beautiful green satin.
12:51My original plan was in silver because of Glinda's shoes.
12:54But that crystal fabric is more of a green tone.
12:57So, like, green is just a natural choice.
13:00BJ, all this red is for you.
13:03A lot of your budgets go into this one fabric.
13:05Setting myself apart from other designers is a strategy that I've used for the entire competition.
13:11Because you need to have a unique point of view.
13:14All gonna be red.
13:15Yes.
13:16The whole thing.
13:17Yes.
13:18Very powerful.
13:19It's a risk to use red because I know that this is not the usual colors that you can associate with the movie.
13:25But no risk.
13:26No reward.
13:27Can you see your sketch, BJ?
13:29No.
13:30I don't know yet what I'm making.
13:32I just wanna see what you sketched.
13:34I don't know yet what I'm making.
13:35You don't have to show him.
13:36I like that she doesn't show anybody.
13:38No.
13:39Like, you can't get it at her.
13:40She's trying to win.
13:41I like it.
13:42All right, designers, one minute left.
13:45Ah, anxiety.
13:46What color are you using?
13:48Green.
13:49Oh my God, you and Ethan are both using green.
13:52So it's a battle between who has the best green look.
13:56Bitch, I'm not worried.
13:58He was not supposed to do green.
14:00He was supposed to do silver.
14:01I'm his biggest threat.
14:05Can you see?
14:06It's inside of that.
14:07Bitch, you never wanna show me your sketch.
14:09You wanna see my fabric?
14:11VJ is a silent killer.
14:13I'll see it later.
14:14She never wants to show anybody's her sketch.
14:16When you show me your sketch, I'll show you my fabric.
14:18This bitch.
14:19I'm not showing you my sketch.
14:20Game is on, VJ.
14:28Make some magic happen.
14:34You guys really bought expensive fabrics.
14:36How much is it a yard?
14:37This is $750 a yard.
14:40Wow.
14:41Jesus said you copied his color.
14:46Get it straight, bitch.
14:47I don't want you to start tea.
14:48But I never said that he was copying me.
14:50Don't put words in my mouth.
14:52You just accused me of saying that he copied me,
14:54and I didn't say that.
14:55Let me just clear the air.
14:57I wanna clear it because you're starting tea.
14:59I'm just asking why both of you are using green.
15:02You're initially going for silver.
15:04No, the original plan was that Ethan was gonna use silver.
15:07I was gonna do the green, and Antonio was gonna do pink.
15:10Pink.
15:11Okay.
15:12Because we're hoping that we're on the top three.
15:13Period.
15:14Whoa.
15:15Whoa.
15:16Damn.
15:17What?
15:18Bitch.
15:19But I never said that he was copying me.
15:21Don't put words in my mouth.
15:22He said that you change it to green.
15:25Actually, my original thought was green.
15:28But then I thought, oh, what if I switch it to silver for the shoes?
15:31I'm not copying nobody.
15:32I'm just doing the correct branding.
15:34No one here owns green.
15:36She's gotta go home.
15:38I know it's like when I'm, this is like the moment that I'm like, bitch, it's on.
15:44Jesus is fuming.
15:45I can already feel his heat coming down from his pores.
15:48I have my popcorn ready.
15:51Y'all are spicy.
15:52This is just getting me more fuel to send you home.
15:58Jesus can go from zero to 200%.
16:01And I am the opposite.
16:03I'm not taking it in a very personal level.
16:05But I think Jesus cannot do that.
16:08So there's gonna be chaos and war.
16:11The sea witch bitch was home.
16:13It's like, I'm done with it.
16:14I don't want that.
16:15She really is a shit starter.
16:17She's a shit starter.
16:18Uh-uh.
16:19I don't hear shit.
16:20I don't know shit.
16:21Nope.
16:22It's very serious.
16:23And I don't like it.
16:24You don't with the Gemini.
16:25Oh my God.
16:28I've gotten nowhere with my garment.
16:30I don't have time for this, y'all.
16:35I'm gonna change mine into a gown.
16:37The fabric is too beautiful not to do a gown.
16:40I have a question with both of you.
16:42Like, just like a random question.
16:45Uh-oh.
16:46For example, just let's say, of course, ideally, both of you want to be in the finale.
16:51But let's say there's only one.
16:52Have you guys talked about who do you think deserve it more?
16:56I don't know.
16:57This is just like an honest.
16:59I think Antonia started in the bottom and then you started in the top.
17:04And then during the entire competition, it's kind of like he's on the top, on the top, on the top.
17:09And then like...
17:10Rich.
17:11What are you thinking about?
17:13Honey, I'm just going up.
17:14I see you're going down.
17:15No, listen to me.
17:16I'm just going up.
17:19Security!
17:21Security!
17:22We need security on set.
17:24You never know.
17:25Like, last challenge?
17:26It was a shock to me that I was in the bottom.
17:29You should have gone home.
17:31Period.
17:34I mean, I like my look.
17:35When I ask questions, I'm just trying to know you and to get to know you.
17:39But I get in trouble sometimes because I'm always very honest.
17:43And sometimes I lose friends because of that.
17:46It might come across offensive.
17:48You missed the challenge, honey.
17:50Why did I miss it?
17:51Because there was no reveal.
17:52There was a reveal?
17:53The Christmas sweater?
17:56I'd rather wear a Christmas sweater rather than dancing with the stars.
18:00It looks like a magician.
18:01My coat was stronger than all your three pieces if you really want to go there.
18:06Wow.
18:09My God, this week is to take my ass off.
18:13You're a fighting bitch.
18:14Oh my God.
18:15Starting trouble.
18:16She's not with the with me.
18:18This is very loud.
18:25I'm not really trying to create drama.
18:31She looks at me and I'm like, bye.
18:36More comment.
18:37Jesus and I fight a lot, but for me, it's coming from competition.
18:43You put two competitive people in one group.
18:47So what would you expect?
18:48You know, we're not going to hug each other.
18:50We're going to stop each other because we want to win.
18:52And it's normal.
18:54She said, I'm not starting to start drama.
18:56I'm like, yeah, but you did.
18:57She is drama.
18:58You don't have a DNA, honey.
19:00All your looks look from different designers.
19:02VG has always seen us as frenemies, but she's pushed me way too far.
19:08I don't know if it's her strategy to make it to the top because I truly have no idea why she's still in this competition.
19:16If you really want me to go there.
19:17Ready, set, go.
19:18Hi, everybody.
19:19Christian.
19:20There's not that much done.
19:22I was going to do a jumpsuit.
19:27I kind of had a nightmare that J-Lo sent me home, so I changed my mind.
19:32I'm not doing a cave.
19:33It's almost like a shawl, but I want to make it big and I want to make my own flowers.
19:37It has to be huge.
19:39Focus on this wow moment piece.
19:41You need a flower cocoon.
19:43Flower cocoon bubble.
19:45Let me write that down.
19:47How do you spell cocoon?
19:48Cocoon.
19:49I don't know.
19:50C-A-C-O-O-N?
19:58This is one of Alphaba's friends from the forest.
20:01Tree creature.
20:02Yes.
20:03This is really cool.
20:04It's really hard to find texture and the right color of trees and moss.
20:08I don't think you should go too costume-esque, like a tree.
20:14Right.
20:15What's going to make you stand out?
20:17Knowing that I could have gone home in the last challenge is shaking my confidence.
20:21I'm worried about my look not standing out in the room full of glitter, sparkle, and 3D definition.
20:30I'm concerned.
20:32Who is she?
20:34Lady Godiva.
20:35So you're sticking with your plan, like you're not going to see the body at all.
20:38Yeah.
20:39Like you're covering her up in green.
20:41Even if it was just a small amount into a V or something.
20:45You know, I could plunge this down and really get it close to the body.
20:49I think so.
20:50I don't want them to be like, this just isn't enough.
20:53Throughout this competition, I have had to tone it down because, you know, my sentiments
20:58for fashion is really loud and bananas.
21:01But this challenge is my opportunity to really turn what I'm good at up to 100.
21:07This is that one challenge you could push it even just a little bit more.
21:11Okay.
21:12I don't want it to kind of look like what I did for Unconventional, you know, the gown.
21:18I want to make her a little more sexy.
21:20I think you can do all this.
21:21I've just met me.
21:22I know, but it's a lot of work.
21:24I can handle it.
21:26I need to send her home.
21:27You really, I guess, what did you just say?
21:29BJ just killed the vibe not too long ago.
21:32She, she's one of those.
21:35I am sad because there's a lot of assumptions that I am steering the pot.
21:39One of the things that I learned in this competition is that you got to be very careful because
21:44people just really create drama out of nothing.
21:48BJ, the room is very frazzled about you today.
21:51I know.
21:52I don't know why.
21:53It just feels so weird because they, they thought that I should, that I should got eliminated
21:58last challenge.
22:00I don't know.
22:02Alphaba is a person that kind of like being rejected for who she is.
22:06And you know, it's like, yeah, it's like, you know, it's like, I felt rejection so many
22:11times and it's not that easy.
22:13It's kind of like, I kind of relate to that character as a trans woman being rejected,
22:18being said no a lot of times.
22:20But it's like, no matter how hard it is.
22:25I understand.
22:27Trust me.
22:28I was an out little gay boy when I was on this.
22:30Yeah.
22:31In 2008.
22:32Yeah.
22:33It was rough.
22:34It wasn't fun.
22:35Yeah.
22:36But you're here and there's so many allies in the world and people are going to be so
22:38inspired by you.
22:39There are things about me that people don't understand as an immigrant woman, as a trans
22:46woman, and as a fierce competitor.
22:49But those are the things that I like about me.
22:51I see my uniqueness as a special power and I want to channel all of that into this design.
22:58You get to create and show people what you can do.
23:01Yeah.
23:02So be proud of yourself.
23:09My old baby!
23:15A little trepidatious about them being like, it's too similar to the first one.
23:22But it's a totally different, like, headpiece.
23:25Totally different.
23:26Yeah.
23:27There's not a lot of time to pivot.
23:29And pivoting last week hurt a lot.
23:33But I'm hoping that I kill it.
23:35One stumble could let me fall out of this competition.
23:38Oh no!
23:39I think I could be in trouble.
23:41When the beat drop!
23:42Hands up!
23:43Hands up!
23:44Hands up!
23:45When the beat drop!
23:46Hello, designers!
23:48Hi!
23:49Hello!
23:50Wow, what an honor.
23:51Hey!
23:52It's far!
23:53Oh my God.
23:54The Oscar winner.
23:56I have never had an opportunity to have my work critiqued by an Oscar winner.
24:02How are you?
24:03It's a pleasure.
24:04So this is...
24:05This is it.
24:06Definitely avant-garde.
24:07And it would be great to understand direction so that it doesn't feel random.
24:12Okay, I'll do that.
24:13It needs to be intentional.
24:14Yeah.
24:15My worry is that, are they gonna get it?
24:17Are they gonna see Wicked?
24:18The face of your model is open.
24:20And how does it relate to the green skin?
24:24I think it could be kind of cool if all of her face was covered, too.
24:28Well, that's what I was wondering as well.
24:30And I think that it would also push the avant-garde.
24:33It's a good idea.
24:34Yeah.
24:35I'm excited to see that.
24:37Antonio.
24:38Hello, Your Majesty.
24:41Tell me about your design.
24:44So, originally when we spoke, I wanted to do a catsuit.
24:48I remember Christian was like, oh, J-Lo's done that.
24:50I'm like, you know what?
24:51I'm gonna do the most beautiful evening gown I've ever made.
24:55Okay.
24:56And I'm adding the green heart because it's a special place for my alfaba, which is my twin brother.
25:05Mm-hmm.
25:06Okay.
25:07We've seen many evening dresses.
25:11How is this an avant-garde statement?
25:14Because this poppy flower that's on the floor, it's gonna be her flower cocoon.
25:19Mm-hmm.
25:20Kind of like wings.
25:22Pushing your silhouette is the direction that I would suggest.
25:27Yeah.
25:28Really make it something we've never seen before.
25:30I mean, that was fueling almost all of my decisions when I was designing Wicked.
25:34So, how can you take us to that next level?
25:37This is my interpretation of her hat.
25:40Mm-hmm.
25:41Right?
25:42So, I want the point to be dramatic, like avant-garde.
25:44And I wanted to do a 3D heart because, you know, my brother's doing green and I mixed the pink in it.
25:51The twins obviously are helping each other, but they're not helping each other editing the look.
25:59If I'm Jesus, I will tell Antonio right now to get rid of that ugly flower.
26:06It represents the love that she will forever in her life have for Glinda.
26:11Wonderful.
26:12It touches my heart.
26:14There may be strengths in what you have already, but if you focus on that and make that really beautiful, then you really won't lead to anything else.
26:21Where I'm at in my process is getting the Moss Effect full throttle going.
26:26What I see currently are silhouettes that in and themselves are interesting.
26:33It's how do you keep all of it talking to each other.
26:36Talking to each other.
26:38Mm.
26:39I like Balanius, but it doesn't read avant-garde.
26:42It reads street wear.
26:44There's a lot at stake because two people are gonna go.
26:47So, girl, go big.
26:49Push yourself beyond your comfort zone.
26:51That's what avant-garde is all about.
26:53Everybody, I'm hugely impressed.
26:56So, win or lose, let's rejoicify.
26:59Yeah!
27:01Bye.
27:02Bye.
27:03I hope it works.
27:04Tomorrow, two of you go home and get to watch me in the finale.
27:18Ah!
27:20Guys, this is it.
27:21I woke up feeling like a wicked bitch.
27:23So much better.
27:24I like this more.
27:25Hi, everybody.
27:26Hello.
27:27You have an hour and a half left.
27:28That's it?
27:29Oh, my God.
27:30Uh-huh.
27:31It's a moment.
27:32What if you cut it off?
27:33What if you cut it off?
27:34Just like leave this, but cut this off so it can...
27:35It can bellow.
27:36This is making it heavy.
27:37Wow.
27:38She's very Victoria's Secret Angel.
27:39Uh-huh.
27:40All right.
27:41Models to hair and makeup.
27:42Let's go.
27:43Perfect.
27:44Gorgeous.
27:45The lighter shades, so her eyes could pop.
27:46Maybe like from the corner out.
27:47Nude lip.
27:48Okay.
27:49Nude lip and lashes.
28:02We gotta do it, baby.
28:03You should fix the inside of this garment because that's gonna get you home.
28:09Click your heels, but I don't think you wanna go there.
28:11How much time do we have left?
28:12Ten minutes.
28:13Hmm.
28:14this is it only three out of five are going to the finale i want it that's it time to head
28:22to the runway that's it baby yeah hello welcome to the runway the final five yes as you know in
28:35fashion one day you're in and the next day you're out but tonight too unfortunately will be out
28:41for this challenge you had to create an avant-garde look based on the themes from the new film wicked
28:48for good and please tell me what was it like having paul's input and looking at your designs oh my
28:53god it was extremely magical he's also right over there hi paul you're here thank you thank you so
29:01much paul for all the guidance that you've given the designers absolutely my pleasure let's meet the
29:07judges cfda award-winning stylist and image architect la roach editor of el magazine nina garcia
29:18and my friend supermodel actress producer fashion diva and wicked fan tyra banks
29:25v banks herself miss ty tyra banks ah let's start the show
29:42i love my love she was morphing into the dress and the dress is morphing into the hat it's gorge
29:49stunning my vision has come to life to perfection such an iconic moment oh my large
30:05i've accomplished everything i wanted to accomplish for this look she looks so so elegant
30:12and so avant-garde it's making me feel so proud of myself
30:22i'm happy seeing this green goddess walk down the runway my look does not have sparkle it does not
30:29have that much volume but it's me definitely me and i'm obsessed i am hopeful that it's still enough to
30:36get me to the finale seeing my look walk on the runway i feel the spiral detail is so beautiful and the
30:50movement it's so powerful i mean the color is so dramatic and i'm really really happy with the outcome
30:58of the dress this is all so magical to be able to see my look just fly down the runway it's sparkling
31:13under the light the lines are gorgeous looks expensive it looks unique it looks so avant-garde
31:21and i think that i did myself so proud today this is going to be so hard today oh my gosh designers
31:35please step onto the runway
31:39we've scored your designs and we want to talk to all of you jesus we're going to start with you
31:44and your model i really wanted to just create something very powerful
31:50i wanted to do a heart to incorporate the paint of antonio's fabric because to me it represents the
31:57love that elphaba has for glinda but for me is the love that i have for my twin brother avant-garde
32:04means being innovative being experimental and that all came through it really is pushing the boundaries
32:15thank you well done oh jesus it's okay to be emotional i think it's really really really beautiful
32:26now the shoes came out really draggy to me but you know what this is a runway look this is the avant-garde
32:33moment when you can be outrageous go ahead nina first and she's going to photograph it no it's
32:39going to get me first because i'm going to get it right off the red carpet oh no we're going to get
32:42no no no no no baby we get it first i get it first it depends on your celebrity sorry
32:49who my celebrity is all right nina came back feisty tonight yes i know that's what you say every time i
32:55come here whatever jesus i don't see two days i see two months yes i did love the look it came out and
33:03i was like wow the sparkles how you place them all i don't know it just gives it this kind of texture
33:10in a way it's divine thank you so much thank you okay antonio let's get your model out
33:16i knew that i was going to do a pink dress inspired by glinda and what really came to my
33:23mind is the poppy flower in the movie i love the dress i think the dress is beautiful does it read
33:29to me immediately wicked no i'm seeing a little bit more vegas the construction on the actual dress is
33:36really beautiful let's talk about the back because that's what i'm most troubled with
33:40that's a disaster and it is not defying gravity it's bad tell the truth shame the devil it's it's
33:50it's it's it's a it's like a bad pinata i know that deep inside you know this is catastrophic
34:00antonio i know that deep inside you know this is catastrophic the back of the dress looks really
34:09unfinished i see all your seam works it is a bit messy from the back but i do love the volume this
34:15brought me back i feel like to the beginning so even though i was rising to the top i feel like i'm
34:21back to square one so i'm shutting down um i think the dress is beautiful and i actually like the flower
34:33i want it you can have it tyra thank you antonio hi vj hi heidi just bring out your
34:39model wicked for good is about friendship being torn apart so i bought red silk and i literally
34:47shredded it shredded apart and paul mentioned that one of the most important design elements
34:54for wicked is the spiral the deconstruction of wrapping that boning and making it look shredded
35:02looks fantastic the shoe is spectacular kind of took my breath away there was a lot of creativity to
35:10it i really loved it i think it's beautiful i think it's avant-garde and then the shoe looks clunky
35:16does it read wicked to me no the red totally threw me off had this been in green or black you could have
35:23told the same story and it would have made more sense for the movie but i do think that you did make
35:30something really interesting i used to teach branding and there are certain things with
35:34branding that are non-negotiables and one of those is color so for me that's like a big miss like a huge
35:42miss thank you vj thank you thank you so much okay ethan let's bring out your model this could have
35:48easily been a fifty thousand dollar couture dress and you ruined it with those underwear that is one of
35:56my biggest pet peeves on the red carpet when it's the wrong underwear but it's fab i love the addition
36:03of the ostrich feathers it also is alphabet with the cape and the end of the first movie when glinda
36:10threw that cloak around her and she flew off i think you did an incredible job it's gorge i mean
36:15you definitely took a risk by hiding her face because it could have been like they either hate it or love it
36:20i happen to love it you know it's like what i like the most about your work is when you play with
36:28these opposites right so here is a sense of modesty but at the same time of sexiness i was just blown
36:36away i think it's very stunning this is unique this is special thank you ethan thank you all so much
36:44you can leave the runway thank you baby okay balanya let's bring out your avant-garde look
36:48paul was explaining his inspiration he went to nature to see all the textures and the colors and
36:56i was inspired deeply because i'm a plant person but since this is avant-garde i had to go a little
37:01bit bigger i'm so torn here i love the gouches however i don't know about that tail it's giving me
37:08a little crocodile tail and it's not even even so there's yeah that that speaks to nature and the
37:15unevenness in nature it's supposed to be representative does it give you a little
37:18crocodile alligator tail to me personally no it doesn't i love it i think there's different levels
37:24of avant-garde right there's avant-garde couture and there's avant-garde street fashion i think it's
37:31absolutely stunning my issue is everybody else took a chance and i think this was pretty safe in your
37:39opinion what you've seen so far but that's not helping you babe really you don't think this is
37:45you i think this is i love it but this is to me this is like big well you're gonna have to be
37:51uncomfortable a lot in this business that's the name of the game fashion is all about the new
37:58it's safe telania be quiet i have never yelled at a girl like this before i was rooted for you we
38:05were all rooted for you is that serious oh that was iconic now let me critique you seriously i
38:14actually agree with tyra rick owens is considered to be one of the greatest avant-garde designers of
38:20our generation and for me this is what that feels like i do think it's avant-garde and i do think it's
38:26really beautiful it's the thing of not being able to take the critiques that loses me with you every
38:32single time because if i didn't care i wouldn't say anything i always say like cuss us out in your
38:37head right i'm sorry i'm not trying to be disrespectful
38:45if i didn't care i wouldn't say anything i always say like cuss us out in your head right
38:52i'm sorry i'm not trying to be disrespectful thank you sorry i gave yours a high score
38:58thank you i knew immediately that it was yours i also did see alphabet she looks modern also
39:06you know this is now thank you belania thank you there's five of you but unfortunately only three
39:13of you will make it to the big finale antonio should you be in the finale please tell us what
39:20two designers do you think should come with you who i think should stay i would love to
39:26see my brother do a collection and i would love to see ethan do a collection i've been so proud of
39:35what he's been doing in the competition belania who would you take with you god i would go with
39:44the two twins so you'll send bj and ethan home yeah it's what i'm saying no that's coming from
39:52your heart i think it's very brave ethan what about you this is tough
40:01the twins throughout the whole competition i have volleyed so many ideas and my work has
40:08grown so much like they've been just watering the seeds the whole time
40:13oh that's nice hey hey sus i would of course like to see my brother be in the finale with me because i
40:21am so proud of what he's done and what he's learned in this competition and then ethan i saw the growth
40:27in him through this competition i would love for top four because i think belania found who she truly is
40:34as a designer i truly don't know if bj really knows what her dna is in the competition
40:42the strategy is they don't want me to be in the top three because they know that if i'm in the top
40:47three i have a strong chance of winning this so who would you take with you i will definitely take
40:55ethan and belania because i think that these two people are kind and i think that we need the money
41:02more than them and what makes you think that it's hard to say yes to speak that is so stupid i like to
41:11work with people who are kind and humble are you saying that we're not kind and humble you're the one
41:17that started all the drama in this competition bj if you really want to go there because you are not
41:23the humble person you were starting drama between everybody in this competition and you know that
41:28so don't stand right here and look like you're the innocent girl period between you and your brother
41:34who's the better designer i'm not going to answer that law why not i'm not going to answer that you
41:38saw the hearts on the dresses it's a competition please don't do that i mean he was always on top
41:43and i was on the bottom so i'm proud of him right so you think he's the better designer oh i mean yeah
41:48if you if you want me to say okay great that's all i'm trying to get to it's okay he said i have
41:52different family values as maybe you should one day too it's fine there can only be one winner at
41:58the end of the day yeah the best winner should win yeah but let's get there we have a lot to talk
42:03about you can leave the runway thank you so much thank you thank you wow it got heated in here
42:13that was really wrong for you to say that please don't see that's what i'm saying kind and humble
42:19right we are humble oh my god i don't even want to be in this room with them they're attacking me
42:24be kind and humble because you're the one with the big mouth let's not talk how about get her out
42:29of the room if she's not comfortable she's saying that we're not humble how am i not humble attacking
42:34me oh dear god i'm not doing this i'm gonna go no nope i'm not gonna stand there and have them
42:40humiliate me i didn't come here for that no mama girl calm down nope and stay i'm not i made my decision
42:47girl you you could they're not gonna humiliate me especially this bitch and catch me if you can't
42:53touch me i'm leaving i'm leaving he is gonna leave and i know my brother because he's not gonna be up
43:01there and be humiliated okay and that was really wrong bj and you know that what the law you really
43:09went there how dare you try to put my brother and i against each other i'm not going back in and bj
43:14is being disrespectful i'm not gonna stand there with that bitch vj saying that we're not humble
43:21and that we don't need the money she doesn't know my financials who is she i'm going home
