00:12political front. He credits his wife for enabling him to undertake this endeavor.
00:18According to reports, Kishore met Janavidas originally from Guwahati in the African country
00:22of Chair during United Nations-backed health program. Kishore worked in administration,
00:27while Janvi worked as a doctor. Their acquaintance began as colleagues and eventually led to marriage.
00:33In 2011, when a report on malnutrition authored by Prashant Kishore caught the attention of
00:38then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi, he was offered a role in Modi's team. Kishore soon moved to
00:42Gujarat and began living at the Chief Minister's residence. As Prashant Kishore went on to make
00:46election strategies for multiple political parties, the constant travel demands of his work
00:50left him spending less time at home. But when he launched Jan Suraj and began his year-long
00:55Padhyatra across Bihar, his wife Janvi chose to quit her job to take care of their son. During the
00:59Padhyatra, Janvi made several trips to Bihar to ensure their son could spend time with his father.
01:04At a press conference, Prashant cited his wife as an example of the many women
01:07who sacrificed their careers to support their husband's dreams.
