03:11And sadly not everyone able to keep the silence as Michael Kerr
03:40played Choirs of the Forest.
03:47David Dickinson is the man in the middle for this game.
03:56Outwit the runaway leaders, the William L Premiership is so tight,
04:00wins are very well-earned, and both of these two could do with one.
04:06There's not much between Samirin and Ibernian, as they face off at the Spicer Stadium here in Paisley.
04:13Final game before the international break.
04:17Ibs desperately looking for some consistency in the ability to see out games.
04:28That's been their real Achilles heel.
04:33Samirin, who only won twice in the league,
04:38could do with turning their cup form to the table as they look to claim the league.
04:47That's Grant Hanley out to Jack Iredale.
05:02Hanley who is in the Scotland squad, Kieran Bowie starts.
05:06Made that, now full space for Jamie McGrath.
05:11Martin Boyle quite often has it in for Samirin.
05:15Dan Barlasar does come across to Chris Cannon and now Mulligan.
05:21Early and sustained possession for Kavernian.
05:34Leads to the first foul of the game as Dan Lundblew clatters into the back of Rocky Bashiri.
05:40Michael Stewart alongside me, just as Dan Lundblew looks to have injured himself in making this challenge here.
05:52But, as I said, the league is so tight.
05:56These games are extremely difficult to call, aren't they?
06:00Yeah, they are, of course.
06:02You know, a couple of factors there.
06:04As you've mentioned, the league is so tight, it's unpredictable.
06:10Teams beating at each other and a lot of draws in the campaign so far.
06:15And then, obviously the record that St Mirren have got, over hips.
06:19It's not immediately obvious what's happened here to Dan Lundblew,
06:23but clearly in a fair bit of pain there, holding the back of his knee.
06:27I was just going to say, I mean, obviously for both these sides,
06:33it feels like there's positivity for St Mirren because they've got themselves through to the Premier Sports Cup.
06:39The one thing that Stephen Romsen's time at St Mirren has lacked is perhaps getting to the final stages
06:50and potentially getting his hands on the trophy.
06:54Whereas they've got great consistency in the league, it's not happened so far.
06:57And then for Hibbs, clearly, it's been a season of frustration so far.
07:02Too many drop points in the league, but big game for the two here to try to rectify the league form.
07:09Jimmy McGrath to take, couldn't quite make it all the way to Bowie and Bacchus.
07:16Now finds Declan John, he loses out to Barlaser and Mulligan now out to Boyle.
07:21Bowie the only one in the middle for Boyle, who swings it across.
07:25He was a whisker away from finding his strike partner, who was sliding in on the six-yard box,
07:31it comes in again, but Shamal George able to hang on this time.
07:37Well, it was good play initially in the middle of the park, Barlaser and Mulligan.
07:40That is an absolutely brilliant ball, you can see the frustration there from Martin Boyle.
07:44It just seems to be the way things are going for Kieran Bowie at the moment, not being able to get on the end of it.
07:52He needs something just to get him going again, get a little bit of confidence and belief back.
07:58Whether it comes off his knee and goes in the back of the net or something like that,
08:03that just gets him up and running again.
08:06Frickelton looks long, Mandrawn will chase this one down,
08:14he'll be relishing the physical battle against the likes of Bashiri and Hanley.
08:23Back is to Fraser, now Phillips, Richardson back to Killian Phillips in early,
08:29Bashiri has to dive to knock that one away,
08:32they're such an aerial threat with Lundaloo and Mandrawn in there.
08:37Yeah, that's a really good header from Rocky Bashiri because it's
08:42dipping right over his defensive partner, Grant and Hanley.
08:46He knows that he's getting pressure from behind, he has to deal with it.
08:49Stoops down and puts it behind for the corner, that was good defending there.
08:54Statistically, the Samara are the most effective team in the league from set plays,
09:06Hibbs the least, and there's a free header, and it comes up with yet another goal,
09:11and it is Marcus Fraser, a rare goal for the defender.
09:17And it's the set play that delivers the goods for Samirran again.
09:24Marcus Fraser just scoring his seventh goal in 236 appearances for the club,
09:32but it was straightforward.
09:34Oh, it could be quite tight, but you've got to say defensively it's truly horrendous run from Hibbs.
09:43I'm not sure whether he's in front of the ball or not, but it's a great ball in,
09:48and it's a lovely header from Marcus Fraser.
09:51It's a...
09:54Just not...
09:56Not concentrating, not good enough from Hibbs defensively.
10:00Switching off, loads of space at the near post.
10:03Nobody's picking up.
10:05Well, the lines are being drawn.
10:08Andrew Dallas and Alan Mulvaney are on VAR duty.
10:12It was actually Andrew Dallas who was on VAR duty last weekend at Livingston,
10:18and David Gray had a lot to say about that one.
10:21Well, he's ahead of the defenders.
10:22It's just a case of whether he's in line or behind the ball, Rorek.
10:26I think he may well just be off, which...
10:29I mean, look, we've had this debate.
10:32It's an eternal debate with the football in terms of, you know, being so close.
10:40You wait so long, and then you find out potentially somebody's knees offside.
10:45I'm not sure that's the way I want it, but we'll soon find out.
10:50We'll soon find out.
11:07This one, very close indeed.
11:12You can hear the frustration from the supporters.
11:14Is it a goal given?
11:16No.
11:17Or is it not?
11:18No.
11:19It is, in fact, a factual overturn offside given.
11:23Well, it's a reprieve for him, you've got to say, because defensively that was so poor.
11:38Very fortunate to get away with it.
11:46Clearly you can hear the frustration from the home supporters thinking that they've gone 1-0 up early on in the game from another set piece.
11:53Well, just to explain the confusion, because David Dickinson did point to the centre circle as if the goal was to be awarded.
12:10The wording from Andrew Dallas gave us confirmed, confirmed factual overturn.
12:16So that led to my confusion, David Dickinson's confusion.
12:22And the home crowd cheering, then jeering.
12:29Well, I think obviously they've drawn that blue line that looks like it's almost on the ball and the last defender, but I mean, you get these angles and you're looking at lines now, it's very difficult to actually see what the line's drawn.
12:57Mulligan's space to shoot, well over the top.
13:07Well, there was a red line in front of the blue line, apparently that's offside.
13:27Well, that's a red line.
13:29Well, there was a red line in front of the blue line.
13:30Well, I think that's where the last of King comes across, had that wonderful moment at Hampden, netting his second somewhere in goal, the Jamaican.
13:38Marcus Fraser, who is wearing the captain's armband in the absence of Mark O'Hara, Lulew and
13:57Hanley in a good battle, it's a good defender from Grant Hanley because he doesn't want
14:03the ball to be bouncing and he's able to just catch it almost on the bounce, make sure it's
14:10not going in behind the defence there, it's a physical battle up there against Lundaloo
14:16and Mandarong.
14:23Freckleton now, John gives him it back.
14:32King, they don't tend to spend long with it in that back three, Richardson has done really
14:40well to help that back to, Phillips and a few cries from the home crowd but not very convincing
14:45that they were ever going to get anything from that.
14:55Myredale actually running out of luck, coming back through Barlaser.
15:04McGrath is impeded by Bacchus.
15:08I see Barlaser taking the quick free kick but for me there I think they just got it, yeah,
15:15it's good, you want to get the game up and running and have speed to it but an opportunity there
15:21just to take a breath, get the players up and put a ball into the box.
15:25Boyle will chase that but King back in charge.
15:32George sends it as long as he can, Hanley with the first header.
15:38Nicky Cadden, Bowie, Boyle,
15:48able to find the space to work things going forward but the hips still have it through Martin Boyle, their captain.
15:55Hunter wide to McGrath, Barlaser, Mulligan.
16:07It's King away and Lundaloo, give me a break on here for some minute but Lundaloo decided to hold on to it rather than give it to Bacchus.
16:16It comes into the feet of Donnelly.
16:33Richardson for Fraser, they do like to get the ball in early when they have the opportunity.
16:39This time it gets back towards the halfway line.
16:43King asks for Bacchus to come short.
16:48Mandron,
16:50got the two goals against Motherwell now, Lundaloo,
16:53well his first touch left him down just when he had a bit of space.
17:01Donnelly, Phillips,
17:04by Barlaser.
17:06Donnelly.
17:10Donnelly.
17:13Bacchus in space, now John.
17:15Donnelly encouraged the shoots.
17:19Well wide at target.
17:21Good build up play though from Zemirran.
17:23Yeah it was.
17:24Controlled the ball pretty well there.
17:26Working it into the final third and end.
17:28Donnelly's got a bit of space on the edge of the box and he's got,
17:31he's got the technique to trouble Salinger from that distance.
17:36But just as he opened up,
17:38I think it was Barlaser who had managed to get tight enough to perhaps just put him off slightly.
17:43But certainly you've seen over the years that Liam Donnelly's got a very good strike on him.
17:48You don't want to be giving him too much space on the edge of the box there.
18:01He's got red by Fraser but Boyle, Scamford to win it back.
18:05And now Bowie to test out King.
18:08Very assured as the last man back.
18:11Goes Hanley, commanding from him, Hulligan just this time that.
18:18Iredale.
18:19Again Boyle looking to stretch that Zemirran back line.
18:28Fraser does give away the free kick.
18:33It looked as if David Dixon was just going to let the game play on there,
18:42but certainly from here it looked as if he'd been fouled.
18:45Not a lot in it, but he just puts his arm across Martin Boyle.
19:08It's a play of the road for Hibs too.
19:11See what they can conjure up here, Nicky Cadden and Jimmy McGrath.
19:16McGrath who played 79 games for Zemirran.
19:23There's Nicky Cadden that swings it in, comes all the way across to Boyle, clipped from the byline.
19:37Back peddling, Shamal George managed to get back into position.
19:44Well, it's good play from Martin Boyle.
19:46The second touch to go past Phillips and then that's not the worst idea at all.
19:50If he's able just to get a little bit more on it and take the goalkeeper out then it becomes a real opportunity for one of the Hibs players to go and attack and stick it in the back of the net.
20:01But undercooked ever so slightly and Shamal George is able to get his hands on it.
20:05The Hibs have been pretty potent in front of goal, only City rivals have scored more than their 18, although Harts are way out in front in that sense.
20:21It's actually been a major problem for Zemirran, they've only scored eight, Aberdeen seven, they've only saved fewer than that.
20:30Although they did manage four last weekend so they'll be hoping that that form takes into the league.
20:38Here goes McGrath, now Bowie.
20:43Bowie cutting inside against King, then tees it up.
20:46Mulligan, Mulligan on the left foot.
20:53Nicky Cadden is over the top of his twin brother Chris.
21:00Must be a bright start from both teams, isn't it?
21:04Knocking on the door.
21:09Bowie.
21:11The draft is a great challenge from Phillips.
21:14Phillips really positive and Lundaloo turns Hanley, Phillips charging down the right-hand side, he wants it out there.
21:22Mandron in the middle, Bacchus trying to join him, Lundaloo.
21:28Now Richardson.
21:30Phillips, back it comes to the right-wing back.
21:34Richardson, heavy touch from him and that just showed too much of it.
21:37to Nicky Cadden, who will win the free catch tight to the byline.
21:44Well, obviously the linesman's right there looking at it, but it looked to me as if Nicky Cadden had just slipped.
21:52It was definitely going out for a corner, that's for sure.
21:53Yeah, I don't know whether there's jerseys being pulled, but certainly Nicky Cadden looked like he just slipped.
22:01As I said, on the far side, the linesman's looking right at it.
22:06Maybe we are blinded by the bodies that are there and perhaps it was a jersey being pulled, but that looked as if it was a little bit fortunate.
22:15if this goes off, and the Directed out with a big step, he would have to show over between them and sit outside of Ireland.
22:23Hey, rumble, I also Whereas I've got there and the fouling back in there.
22:27One, two, three is, aye.
22:31Tennisase ship was in and is tied up by the bad-wing back...
22:37árшussen…
22:39That's fate…
22:41Like what happens, the poor...
22:43It makes…
22:44Here comes Hanley, Iredale, Caden, Mulligan, deal with Phillips sliding in.
23:04Iredale looking up the line for that run from Bowie, it's a positive one for Hibs.
23:10He gets some help from Nicky Caden, he's way off with his delivery.
23:20That's something that has just never hit the heights of last season so far, Nicky Caden.
23:28The delivery from out wide is just so potent, and it just feels this season as if he's never really got into a rhythm.
23:36Confidence is a huge part as well, I don't think he's himself feeling like he's in that float where it was just one touch and whip it in from anywhere.
23:46Jordan Bita's been starting, quite a lot of the games out on that left-hand side, we've got two balls on the pitch at the moment.
24:02Short delay.
24:04Lundaloo, Phillips.
24:18Lundaloo, Phillips.
24:22Putting his head into great position there.
24:26No question, Balassa just doesn't see him.
24:30No question, Balassa just doesn't see him.
24:48All the way through, but unable to keep it in.
25:11Well, there's the interim Celtic manager, Martin O'Neill.
25:15Will be in charge when the Premier Sports Cup final comes along 14th of December.
25:25This side will play tomorrow, 4 o'clock, against Kilmarnock in the league.
25:37Celtic will be here in Paisley just after the international break in fact,
25:42the 22nd of November.
25:45Yeah!
25:47Yes!
25:48Yeah!
25:49Yeah!
25:50I think it's Frank Irwin, we're going to go for it in again.
25:55Happy New Year!
25:56Yeah!
25:57Yeah!
25:59Yeah!
26:00Yeah!
26:01That's the moment!
26:02Yeah!
26:03Yeah!
26:04Yeah!
26:05Hanley, Van Lasser, Maschini Donnelly back forward.
26:22Iredale.
26:27Can't wait to go back the way.
26:35Varlasser takes over.
26:43Iredale, Cadden, probing this left-hand side again.
26:48Well worked by Hibbs, but the cross blocked off by Fraser.
26:52See, there's many aspects of the game that I think Hibbs are better this season.
26:58But the results have not been there.
27:01And as I've just mentioned, that one potent threat of Nicky Cadden that was just so effective, that's the one thing that isn't at that level.
27:10But in terms of retaining possession, building the game, all those sides of things, I think Hibbs have improved.
27:15I think their team's improved, personnel-wise, but it all counts for nothing if they're not getting the points on the board.
27:22And this is where the teams at the moment, it's on the cusp.
27:25Long throw, but a man drawn back to defend it.
27:31Cadden to Iredale in the 1-2 with McGrath.
27:35Will be a goal kick well defended by Simona.
27:38I wonder then, you know, six draws in 11 games in the league, there's been a lot of late points dropped.
27:44Does it become a psychological thing amongst the squad?
27:49Yeah, it can do because, I mean, you know, it takes on a life of its own.
27:53Certainly, if Hibbs are going to be in front here with a few minutes to go, then you know that it becomes a bigger task.
28:00One, because you're up against a team that are never going to give up, but two, because of that exact fact that in the back of their mind,
28:07they're going to be a little bit apprehensive of the fact that they've conceded so many late goals.
28:12The only way to get around that is seeing the game out and concentrating.
28:17Here's McGrath, coming in is Mulligan!
28:20A superb first-time finish from Josh Mulligan, and Samirn Cott trying to play out from the back.
28:32The ball from George to King, and in Steph McGrath, and from there it's devastating from Hibbs, who lead in Paisley.
28:42That's a fantastic goal from Mulligan, isn't it?
28:48But it's great play from Hibbs, the quick press there from McGrath.
28:54Lovely pick-out, and that is a smart finish, a really, really smart finish.
28:58But you look at that angle there, you can see McGrath's already on his bike, he's anticipating where it's going.
29:04And then look at this from Mulligan, that's top class, it really is.
29:08He just passes that into the corner, and this is something that this player is capable of.
29:15And once he starts to put all these bits of his game together, he's a real, real talent, Josh Mulligan.
29:22The Soms scored an absolute wonder goal against Livingston earlier in the campaign.
29:27That's a cracking goal as well, and you look at the legs that he's got, the energy, and the drive.
29:33As I said, he's one of those players that has been an asset, has been a positive, and it's been an improvement from last season.
29:44If they start to put all those bits together, Hibbs are a good side, but they've got to start putting it together now.
29:50And tonight is a wonderful opportunity at a very, very tough venue.
29:55That's Josh Mulligan, already to, halfway to his goals tally that he managed in 122 games with Dundee.
30:04He's done at the 20.
30:06Corey Bernian, he's been going.
30:08But that's just, you know, that's the thing in terms of, he's grown up, he's gaining more experience, and he's learning the position now.
30:17Because he didn't always play in that central position.
30:20He was out on the right-hand side a lot for Dundee, and he's just putting all that together.
30:25I mean, there's not, there's not a great deal in that.
30:27It's just, Bacchus is a split second late and catches him on the toe.
30:30Well, he gets a yellow card for his trouble.
30:32I don't think it's a yellow card person.
30:33I mean, look, it's a free kick, absolutely, but the ball spins out, it's there to be one.
30:38Can you imagine if Keanu Bacchus doesn't go and challenge for that?
30:42Steven Robinson have been going absolutely bananas at the side of the park.
30:45You've got to allow players to be able to go and challenge for the ball.
30:49He catches him, yes, but a yellow card?
30:53I'm not sure about that.
30:54You know, look, that's there to be one.
30:56He's a split second late.
30:58That's not a yellow card.
31:00Yes, it's a free kick, he catches him, and it's a sore one, but...
31:04Brandish yellow cards for almost nothing nowadays.
31:20This will come in again from Nicky Cadden.
31:23Shout from George for Freckleton to duck out of it.
31:27That's a good one.
31:28That's not the worst ball.
31:30You can see Nicky Cadden going on his arms up there, posing the question.
31:34Oh, Iredale's missed it.
31:36Phillips to rush on to it.
31:38He's got Lundaloo in the middle.
31:40But there was Chris Cadden working back very well and in a vital position.
31:48Well, it's a great run from Killian Phillips in behind.
31:52I'm not sure what Iredale was complaining about.
31:54It didn't look like it was a great delay out.
31:56And you can see Lundaloo charging in between the posts.
31:59If Chris Cadden didn't get that block, the striker would have perhaps been knocking it into the back of the net.
32:06So they're hoping that their set-piece threat can get them back on level terms here.
32:16They've already had the ball in the net from one, out comes Salinger.
32:22Beckleton knocks it back down goes Marcus Fraser and a few appeals towards David Dickinson.
32:41But it's straight to Cadden.
32:43Now Bowie, Hibbs, looking to move it quickly.
32:46It was on there, but it just felt like Kieran Bowie had to try and put his laces through it.
32:52Crossfield ping.
32:54There was space if he overhits it for Martin Boyle to run onto it.
32:58But he just didn't get enough on it.
33:01Became an easy enough interception from the defender.
33:06Chris Cadden spotting the run of Mulligan again.
33:17Did well to take it with him.
33:23Chris Cadden's cross forces another corner.
33:27See I just think that's more good play from Hibbs, you know they pick the ball up.
33:30Berlasa builds it initially, plays a lovely ball round into it.
33:34Rocky Bashiri, they work it through into midfield, up to the front line.
33:39They've got overloads in the wide areas.
33:41You know, all these aspects of the game that from a manager and a coach's perspective,
33:45you're looking to implement.
33:46Hibbs are doing that.
33:48Just get more goals and stop conceding late ones.
33:53And they'd be in such a far healthier position.
33:57And the confidence would be sky high.
33:59Nicky Cadden gets it back from Berlasa.
34:06Hanley, the crowd felt that he was climbing a little.
34:11Josh Mulligan, the goal scorer.
34:20There with a higher deal.
34:21Josh Mulligan, the goal scorer.
34:23Josh Mulligan, the goal scorer.
34:35There with a higher deal.
34:39Tough not to crack at home.
34:44St Mirren, one defeat in the last ten home league games.
34:49And that was to the last kick of the ball from Aberdeen a few weeks ago.
34:57Well, I mean, you know, in most games, the first game is pretty important.
35:00For Hibbs have lost a lot of leads though, which is the concern.
35:03But you feel against St Mirren even more so because you seldom get much against St Mirren.
35:10That that goal for Hibbs is really important to get their noses in front.
35:15You've got to go behind St Mirren.
35:21It can be a real tough task to get yourself back into because, as we've seen so often, they don't give much away.
35:28The game over in Spain tomorrow afternoon, 3.15 on Premier Sports 2 for Rayo Vicano against Real Madrid.
35:37And in the evening, a massive game in Buenos Aires, Boca Juniors against River Plate tomorrow evening from 7.30 Premier Sports 1.
35:47Or if you prefer La Liga, it's Celta Vigo against Barcelona at 8 o'clock on Premier Sports 2.
35:53Caden, Iredale into Barlaser.
36:16He seems to have a degree of freedom in the space that he finds.
36:23He's got not a bad passing range, but that certainly was not him, that's for sure.
36:28Mulligan asks Chris Caden to go down the right-hand side, King across to cover the danger.
36:35King pisses that one into Mandron who took it well.
36:51King pisses that one into Mandron who took it well,
37:04took a touch from Donnelly's pass.
37:07He did really well, didn't he?
37:09It wasn't the best of passes into him, he was in a tight space,
37:12plenty of house players around him, linked the game well.
37:15They are missing the inspirational Alex Gogich,
37:25and also Captain Mark O'Hara.
37:33That'll be a Smyrran free kick, Donnelly going down.
37:39There was some good anticipation there from Donnelly to get there first.
37:46It's naive and silly there from McGrath,
37:48you can see he's claiming that there was nothing there,
37:50but Donnelly gets there first, he gets his body in,
37:53shields it well, and now you're giving Smyrran an opportunity
37:58to throw the ball on your box,
38:00and you do not want to be given the team from Paisley
38:04too many opportunities to have a free kick.
38:10Marcus takes it, out comes Salinger,
38:13and a solid punch away that now has Mulligan
38:16peering after it and getting Hibs up the pitch.
38:20Barlaser.
38:33Iredale.
38:41Barlaser again.
38:43Doesn't get forward too often, but trying to intervene up there.
38:50That's given away cheaply.
38:52Straight to McGrath again.
38:54Smyrran have been well warned of the dangers that he can create.
38:58Well, we're fortunate there because if McGrath's able to get that first touch out of his feet,
39:02he could have had a shot, but he could have spun it wide out to Cadent.
39:06Instead, it just rolled past them enough for Bacchus to be able to challenge for it.
39:13And there is Alex Gogic, man of the match at Hampden at the weekend,
39:22but serving the second game of his suspension after the red card up at Dundee United.
39:27And there is a range of moments in it, but back to McGrath,
39:28Madron, Frickleton...
39:29Khashiri.
39:30Kishiri steps forward, Bowie...
39:33looks early in King.
39:34Miss timed that, and Boyle has Chris Cannon in the middle,
39:51goes front post, and Marcus Frazier tracked him really well.
39:55really well yeah he did defended it really well didn't he initially I think it was Freckleton
40:03that just didn't deal with it let the ball slide under his boot
40:09Mark Boyle's touches every one of them was just drifting a little bit wider and I think if he
40:14managed to get his first touch back in towards goal it then becomes a really different attack at
40:20that point I think Stephen Rose would be a little bit frustrated you heard him pre-match talking
40:29about he doesn't like his defenders being the ones that have the most touches I think David Gray's
40:35played that pretty well allowing them to have the ball shutting off a lot of the other positions
40:40making it difficult for St Mirren to get the ball forward
40:43comes in early free header great save Felix goes down on the line there is a flag up on the far side for offside
40:56having said all that in a split second it looked as if St Mirren were about to bundle it over the line
41:02just quicker play there's no offside there certainly and there's nothing there either
41:15so there's nothing offside there
41:31a memory is handball perhaps when it goes
41:33I'm not sure the flag went up on the far side there was no offside there
41:39I'm not sure that went up on the far side there was no offside there and you've got to say it was then you'd be looking at whether as Killian Phillips has been bundled in the back you know Rocky Bashiri's desperately trying to come back in and defend it but it's another little moment that's not gone St Mirren's way.
42:02Mandron is taken away from underneath him.
42:17Just pulled from behind pulling his legs away I just think you know Hibs at this little spell here they've given away too many cheap free kicks and it allows St Mirren to build momentum put the ball out of their box.
42:32There's seven minutes to go in the half.
42:39Backus that takes it goes over the top of everyone.
42:45Out for a goal kick.
42:46There's just nervy moments when you allow a team like St Mirren, you've already mentioned it, best record from set pieces to throw balls into your box.
42:52so frequently.
42:53Backus.
42:54Backus that takes it goes over the top of everyone.
42:55Backus that takes it goes over the top of everyone.
43:00Out for a goal kick.
43:02Backus that takes it goes over the top of you can count on the half of you and each, four, five, 50 players
43:04You watch your final box.
43:05Backus that takes it goes over the top of you.
43:06Backus that takes it goes over to 25球.
43:08Backus that goes on withудь.
43:09Backus that goes over the top of you just hit it in CMúsica
43:27Goes in and looks like, to be fair, it wasn't a penalty.
43:33Killian Phillips was knocking it in towards the goal.
43:36He was sort of going down already before Rocky Bashiri came in
43:40and it wasn't a huge amount of contact either.
43:43But having said all that, it certainly wasn't offside.
43:47Well, and that was the confirmation that came from VAR
43:51that it was offside and nothing else to check.
43:54Which was clearly the wrong decision.
43:57This time the decision goes against Bashiri, Lundaloo.
44:10Well, the talking up of fouls and free kicks just would be a concern.
44:39For David Gray will be a concern, you know, they're 40 minutes,
44:43you can see on the scoreboard there now approaching half-time.
44:47They need to clean up their defensive play and stop giving away free kicks.
44:52It's the latest in a series of free kicks to come into the Hibs box,
44:58but from Declan John, it's far too close to Raphael Salinger.
45:03Picked up by Fraser Phillips.
45:20It's definitely a better spell for St Mirren, Hibs have lost a little bit of flow.
45:25David Gray will be desperate to find a cushion.
45:30Although, that said, they were two up against Kilmarnock and away at Falkirk and let those games slip,
45:35only taking two points from what looked like an almost certain six.
45:38Mulligan gets there ahead of John, Chris Cannon.
45:45Josh Mulligan.
45:46Josh Mulligan.
45:47Josh Mulligan.
45:48Barlaser calls for it, gets it in space, threads that through for Boyle.
45:52Freckleton with the block, Chris Cannon, coming in at the back is Nicky Cannon and over the top it goes.
45:59He's got two points from what looked like an almost certain six.
46:04Mulligan gets there ahead of John, Chris Cannon.
46:09Josh Mulligan.
46:10Barlaser calls for it, gets it in space, threads that through for Boyle.
46:15Freckleton with the block, Chris Cannon, coming into the back is Nicky Cannon
46:19and over the top it goes.
46:23More dangerous play from Hibs, it's a lovely little ball from Barlaser outside of the boot.
46:28We'll see whether it's a delay for a handball there.
46:31For me, his arms, I mean, again, totally unnatural because he's tucking them behind his back
46:36but it just comes off his arm but I don't see this as a penalty kick at all.
46:42His arms down by his side and the rest of it's tucked behind his back.
46:48That's Phillips.
46:49Tie from Ayredale.
46:51The ball will settle at some point.
46:53It's not going to be here though, it will for Declan John though.
46:55Backus.
46:56Richardson and some space.
46:57Lee, first touch.
46:58Phillips.
46:59Phillips to take the shot on, drives it straight at Salinger.
47:03Another Samirran corner kick to try the aerial bombardment in the back.
47:08Hibs box.
47:09This is good play though.
47:10You see Killing Phillips just being a little bit cute there.
47:12Physically holding Nicky Cadden so he wasn't able to get out.
47:15quick enough.
47:16And then once the ball does go over.
47:17he's making that dart and running behind.
47:18He's making that dart and running behind.
47:20Bacchus, Richardson and some space, Lee first touch, Phillips to take the shot on, drives it
47:26straight at Salinger, another Samirin corner kick to try the aerial bombardment in that Hibs box.
47:34This is good play though, you see Killing Phillips just being a little bit cute there,
47:38physically holding Nicky Cadden so he wasn't able to get out quick enough and then once the ball does
47:45go over, he's making that dart and running behind, good play from Samirin there.
48:04Another Samirin corner, they get the first contact and Salinger saves well from Donnelly's header.
48:10Rocky Bashiri has cleared pretty well there as well, up the line and he's kept it in,
48:16that's really good defending from Bashiri.
48:24I think it's very important that Hibs manage to get through to halftime
48:30without conceding because they're just under a little bit of pressure here mounting just before
48:36halftime. The final minute of normal time, I understand there will be a further three to be added.
48:47There's this corner, it's Donnelly that gets, you can see it's actually just drifting wide,
48:51but Salinger taking no chances.
49:07Logging up the line from Iredale, but Barry fouled Fraser, pushing the back.
49:14Barry giving the start over Thiebaud Clijet, amongst the goals of late.
49:30Confirmation of the three additional minutes,
49:34good flick on by Freckleton, and then Mandrons pass unable to find a teammate.
49:39Well Grant Hanley was going to attack it, you know it's natural, he's that type of defender,
49:47but I just thought the ball was dropping quite low and it was always going to be very difficult for
49:52him to get there. He got dragged out of position and it looked for a split second as if St Mirren
49:58we're going to be able to get through. Mandron.
50:08Manley wins another one, but here's Phillips and Richardson.
50:13That's always asking a lot of Phillips.
50:28Manley wins another one, but here's Phillips.
50:42Iredale. Boyle, such a useful outlet. Bowie in the middle, Freckleton walks it all the way,
50:51will it sit for Chris Caron, knows the answer. Now up towards Lundalu, Bashiri all over him,
50:59does well to find Bacchus and now John will chase that, the free kick will now be called,
51:04Lundalu is furious with the attention he was receiving there.
51:07Well it's clearly a free kick, I get the sense that the home crowd are annoyed that he's blown his
51:14whistle because they think that there was a advantage being played, but there's no way
51:20that Declan John's getting on the end of this, it was rolling through to Salinger, so it was the
51:27right call, it was a free kick, there was no advantage to be played because Declan John wasn't
51:31going to get on the end of it.
51:32Well you can see the exchange continuing between the pair, I think it was what happened after the
51:39ball had gone and it was a tug of the hair from Bashiri. Anywhere will do for Hibbs.
51:48Bashiri and Cadden holds the space for his goalkeeper, that might just be enough for Hibbs to see out the half,
52:09with this lead intact, precious one, given to them by Mulligan on the ball now.
52:18Half-time at the Smycer Stadium and it is Josh Mulligan's strike, an immaculate first-time effort cushioned into the corner by the midfielder, and Josh Mulligan has Hibbs one up at the break in Paisley,
52:44half-time score, Smyrna nil, to Burnie and one.
