00:00It's the transformation everyone's talking about.
00:02Miles Teller is nearly unrecognizable in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael.
00:08The Top Gun stars stunned fans after a first-look image from the film went viral this week, showing
00:14him with longer hair and noticeable prosthetics.
00:17The 38-year-old actor takes on the role of John Branca, Michael Jackson's former attorney
00:22and manager, in the highly anticipated film.
00:25Reactions online were instant.
00:27One fan on X wrote, he looked so different, while others compared his look to Journey's
00:32Steve Perry.
00:33And of course, the internet had jokes.
00:35One user even said, Miles Teller's wig might be the most controversial part of this film.
00:41But despite the buzz around Teller's transformation, he's not playing the king of pop himself.
00:46That honor goes to Jafar Jackson, Michael's own nephew.
00:49Jafar, the 29-year-old son of Jermaine Jackson, announced back in 2023 that he'd be portraying
00:55his legendary uncle.
00:56On Instagram he shared, I'm humbled and honored to bring my uncle Michael's story to life.
01:02The film also boasts a powerhouse supporting cast, Coleman Domingo as Michael's father
01:06Joe Jackson, Nia Long as his mother Catherine, Jessica Sula as Latoya Jackson, Lorenz Tate
01:13as Motown founder Barry Gordy, Laura Harrier as music executive Suzanne DePass, and Kat Graham
01:19as Diana Ross.
01:21A trailer for Michael finally dropped this week after months of delays, giving fans a
01:26first glimpse into what promises to be a sweeping emotional journey through Jackson's life.
01:31Hugh, can you lower the lights for me please?
01:34Okay.
01:35But remember, in here, keep those feet still my man.
01:40According to the official synopsis, the film traces Michael's rise from child prodigy in
01:45the Jackson 5 to a global superstar, offering a look at both his artistry and the man behind
01:50the music.
01:52Michael Jackson passed away in 2009 at just 50 years old, following a fatal overdose.
01:57Michael is set to moonwalk into theaters on April 24th, 2026, and if this first look is
02:03any indication, fans are in for quite the transformation, both on and off screen.
