00:00Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned us, and now he's making good. He's canceling flights
00:06due to the government shutdown. Now, Duffy says the FAA will slash 10% of U.S. flights in 40 major
00:12cities beginning tomorrow. That could mean the grounding of as many as 4,000 flights. Not what
00:19you want to hear as we head into the holiday season. He stopped short of revealing which
00:23airports will be the most impacted and assured the country that the measure is proactive and not
00:28reactive. It's not due to a current threat to the safety of air travelers. The move will give some
00:34relief to overworked air traffic controllers who are working without pay thanks to the ongoing and
00:39record-breaking government shutdown. The lack of funding comes on top of an already well-reported
00:46shortage of those air traffic controllers across the country.
