00:17What financial orders do we need to take to overcome the circular order as it relates to sustainable energy?
00:25Oh, great question. Well, in terms of hurdles in respect to finance, I think access to finance is a significant one.
00:34We work a lot with SMEs who have a number of issues accessing grants, loans, equity, and a big issue is around the cost of that capital.
00:47So we're working very hard to set up a fund so that those businesses can access the capital they need to grow and scale.
00:56So let's bring the point home. Let's draw into the Nigerian context.
01:01What does the Nigerian government mean? What step do they need to take to scale through these financial orders?
01:09Well, first, big credit to the Nigerian government as is. I think they are doing a lot to enable access to capital.
01:20So, for example, the Bank of Industry does provide single digit loans to SMEs.
01:27I think they need to do more of it. They need to be more flexible in terms of making that money available to banks that can disperse it more quickly and really continue to raise money the way they actively are.
01:43So, kudos to the government for what it's doing. And we hope they can do more of it better and faster.
01:49Thank you. Last question. So what is your prediction in the next five years? Where do you see the African energy contest?
01:58I can use the word contest. Where do you see our growth in the next five years? What is your prediction?
02:04It's another great question. Well, maybe it's controversial, but I do hope to see Waste to Energy get more exposure.
02:15And we see Waste to Energy projects getting some momentum in Nigeria and in the African continent.
02:22That said, I also think gas is going to be an important source of energy and indeed that we see more of the clean energy options available and used in a decentralized way across the continent.
02:36What the public and outras cities do is to be more implemented at some point.
02:43We know that this is something we need to hand and the Xi Jinping on the West end of the West end of the East, and the X-via.
02:45I know that this is where we can get at all times we have the last few years.
02:48I think that this is really a good idea.
02:50What, how much is the stability of the world and the challenge of the country?
