China criticises trade restrictions in CIIE opening, vows to make global trade fairer

The eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum opened in Shanghai on Wednesday (Nov 5), with Chinese Premier Li Qiang saying that China will work to reform the global economic and trading system and make trade rules fairer, more reasonable and transparent.  Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi represented Malaysia to attend the opening of the expo, at the invitation of the Chinese government. 02:14with 34 partners from 17 countries and regions,

02:19including crude, oil, chemical products,

02:22and equipment,

02:24with a total contract value exceeding

02:2640.9 billion U.S. dollars.

02:29The Expo features a record number

02:31of 4,108 companies from 138 countries and regions.
