The eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum opened in Shanghai on Wednesday (Nov 5), with Chinese Premier Li Qiang saying that China will work to reform the global economic and trading system and make trade rules fairer, more reasonable and transparent.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi represented Malaysia to attend the opening of the expo, at the invitation of the Chinese government.
