Police in Johor have seized RM11.4mil worth of drugs during a raid held at a gated and guarded residential area in Taman Bukit Indah near Iskandar Puteri.

A 55-year-old local man, who was the storekeeper, was also arrested in the two-day operation.

00:00Police in Johor have seized over 115 kilograms of drugs worth 11.4 million ringgit in a raid
00:09on a house in Taman Bukit Indah near Iskandar Puteri. State Police Chief Commissioner Datuk
00:15Abdul Rahman Arsad told a press conference on Wednesday that a 55-year-old local man was also
00:21arrested in the two-day operation. The syndicate's modus operandi was to rent a gated and guarded
00:28terrace house to conceal its illegal activities. Investigations found that the suspect worked as a
00:34storekeeper at the premises which had been converted into a store to keep and process the drugs into
00:39liquid form. The drugs seized were ecstasy pills, shabu, MDMA powder, ketamine and erymin 5 pills.
00:49Various drug processing equipment, a Toyota Vios car and 10,000 ringgit in cash were also confiscated
00:55during the raid.
01:25Commissioner Rahman said police are actively tracking down the mastermind and members of the
01:39syndicate believed to have been sourcing drug supplies within the country before distributing
01:44them to the local market since July. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the
01:50Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
