Teach Your Children to Knock A Beautiful Command from the Quran

Surah An-Nur (24:58–59) — English Translation

Verse 58:
“O believers! Let your servants and those among you who have not yet reached puberty ask permission (before entering your private rooms) during three times:
Before the Fajr prayer,
When you take off your clothes to rest at midday,
And after the ‘Isha’ prayer.
These are three times of privacy for you.
Beyond these times, there is no blame upon you or upon them, for you move around one another.
Thus Allah makes His commands clear to you.
And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”

Verse 59:
“And when your children reach the age of puberty, let them ask permission (to enter at all times), just as those before them were required to do.
Thus Allah makes His verses clear to you.
And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”
