00:00In 1995, our next honoree debuted a new traveling music festival, the Warped Tour.
00:08And over the next two decades, Warped became a punk institution,
00:12providing community for millions of young fans and helping launch the careers of touring artists,
00:18including My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Panic at the Disco.
00:23The festival's traveling multi-stage format became influential in the touring business,
00:30Warped Tour wound down in 2018 and 2019, but this year it returned with a bang.
00:37Events in Long Beach and Washington, D.C. sold nearly a quarter million tickets,
00:43and the festival will play Orlando later this month.
00:47So for his innovative work in the touring space,
00:49Billboard is so proud to present our Visionary Award to Kevin Lyman.
00:54Thank you so much, Billboard.
01:02You know, you kind of think of your teams.
01:04We all have teams, and there's a team I haven't really thanked enough sometimes,
01:08and I really want to thank them now because they've had my back for almost 40 years in this business,
01:13and that's my family.
01:13My wife, Fran, is here, my daughter, Sierra, and my daughter, Sabreen,
01:19who's learning about satellite mapping in Ireland right now.
01:23But it has been a great journey, and being back in it right now, you start thinking about it.
01:28I don't know if this is the Farewell Award or whatever, but I always tell people, you know,
01:33the only thing in my life I'm going to do is run out of time.
01:35And until then, I'm going to put on some great shows.
01:37Thank you so much, Billboard, and thank you for everyone's support all these years.
