00:18He was former secretary of defense under George H.W. Bush.

00:21He went on to be vice president for two terms with George W. Bush

00:24and is considered the conservative's conservative.

00:27A very hardliner, someone extremely competent,

00:32and someone who dealt with heart issues in his 30s

00:36and has dealt with that his entire life.

00:37They're saying that he died last night at the age of 84,

00:41and we just received a statement from his family.

00:45Richard B. Cheney, the 46th vice president of the United States,

00:49died last night, November 3rd, 2025.

00:52He was 84 years old.

00:54His beloved wife of 61 years, Lynn, his daughters, Liz and Mary,

00:59and other family members were with him as he passed.

01:02The former vice president died due to complications of pneumonia

01:05and cardiac and vascular disease.

01:08For decades, Dick Cheney served our nation,

01:10including as White House chief of staff,

01:12Wyoming's congressman, secretary of defense,

01:15and vice president of the United States.

01:17Dick Cheney was a great and good man

01:19who taught his children and grandchildren to love our country

01:22and to live lives of courage, honor, love, kindness, and fly fishing.
