Judy Roderick – Woman Blue 1965 (USA, Blues,Contemporary Folk)
Woman Blue is pure extroverted depression. The blues only burn the fire of malevolence in Judy brighter. Do not skip the bonus material; Long Road Ahead was made to be heard on a lonesome country road, deep in the night.
I love how vicious she can be, while singing so beautifully! Some of the songs can make you laugh in nervous fear, picturing the vengence she has planned for the men who made her so angry.
Of course, these aren't all man-bashing tunes, but those rank amongst my favorite on the album.
