Downchild Blues Band — Dancing 1974 (Canada, Blues,Blues Rock)
The Downchild Blues Band is a Canadian blues band, described by one reviewer as "the premier blues band in Canada". The band is still commonly known as the Downchild Blues Band, though the actual band name was shortened to "Downchild" as of the early 1980s. The Blues Brothers band was heavily influenced by Downchild Blues Band.
There is a ton of heart and soul in this blues recording from this legendary Canadian blues band. The band is very good these numbers most of which are terrific originals. The music slides from blues boogey and barrelhouse. I believe Jane Vasey is the pianist on this (my cassette gives no credits) and she is absolutely cooking.skater Nov 01 2004
