00:00An influencer lit an internet firestorm over the weekend when she suggested that the government
00:05give poor Americans neutral loaf, also called prison loaf, instead of food stamps. Prison
00:12loaf, because it's sometimes served to inmates as punishment for bad behavior. The ex-user who made
00:18this suggestion, Diane Yap, posted, quote, the point of EBT is to ensure people don't starve to
00:25death. That's it. Now, she was talking about the back and forth over SNAP benefits, which 43 million
00:30Americans rely on, including veterans, the disabled and children. So you'll be shocked to learn not
00:36everyone agrees with her there. A federal judge ruled on Friday night that the administration
00:40needs to make partial payments for SNAP by Wednesday. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant confirmed that the
00:46president is eager to get those payments out to those who need them. President Trump just truthed
00:50out that he's very anxious to get this done. And it's got to go through the courts. The courts keep
00:55jamming up things. There's a process that has to be followed. So we got to figure out what the
01:00process is. President Trump wants to make sure that people get their food benefits. So it could,
01:04it could be done by Wednesday. Could be. Okay. Could be.
