The runway shimmered with vibrant fabrics and daring designs as models walked the ramp with the latest designer creations at Lagos Fashion Week on Friday, dubbed as Africa's leading show for creativity and fashion.

Footage shows models confidently catwalking down the runway, their outfits blending tradition with modernity. Behind the scenes, fashion designer Aisha Thaddeus can also be seen putting together her colourful creations.

"What I do basically is try putting lots of pieces of fabric together to bring out a unique design that anybody can actually wear and feel comfortable,” Thaddeus explained.

Among the attendees was movie actor Prince Nelson, known for his bold fashion choices.

“I'm someone who's always very daring, the kind of clothes that I wear, the kind of colours that I put together,” he said.

Fellow actor Kiki Festus praised the innovation driving the Nigerian fashion industry.

“Nigerian fashion is very innovative, very futuristic,” Festus said. “We're putting our country on the map in the fashion scene," he noted.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Lagos Fashion Week is a launchpad for African talent, giving global audiences a front-row seat to the continent's creativity and innovation.
