05:00Hello Wrestling Camps, it is time for Hiroshi Tanahashi's final homecoming here in Kifu, Japan.
05:09My name is Walker Stewart alongside the incredible Chris Charlton.
05:12Chris, yoroshu kyo nagaishimasu.
05:14Yoroshu kyo nagaishimasu.
05:15We are live here tonight in Kifu, Japan kicking off Young Lion six-man action.
05:21And it has been incredible strides all of these Young Lions have made all across a short and intense series.
05:27That has been the road to the vital road.
05:35And the senior most Young Lion, Katsuya Morishima, is going to be heading up the team of himself, Yasuda, and Zane J tonight.
05:43Is he a one-out walker? Is he the only one without a bandaged left leg?
05:49That's how hard they've been going over the course of this tour.
05:52You think you've gone all the way through, you've been beating up your peers, beating up your fellow Dojo students,
06:01you'd like to take in your Oshu Tanahashi's final homecoming here tonight,
06:05and you've got Bolton Oleg opposite you on the card.
06:08It's one of those situations.
06:10They always used to say that about Vader.
06:12The guys that would want to call in sick as soon as they saw their name opposite Vader on the card backstage.
06:16Well, it wouldn't shock me to see that be the case.
06:23But our Young Lions are out here, built a little differently.
06:25Tatsumatsu Molto chiseled out a stone tonight.
06:28Oh, amazing.
06:29Hey, Shomakatsai's got knee patch music.
06:31Yeah, you're right about that.
06:33A little advancement made out of the Dojo.
06:34But it is Bolton Oleg who heads back to school tonight as he revisits his former contemporaries in the no-gay dojo
06:48to test out our Young Lion Brigade.
06:50There you see our Japanese broadcast team evenly spaced between one another here tonight.
06:55Me and you could fit in the middle there.
06:57Well, we could fit at ringside, certainly.
06:59You should talk to someone about that.
07:00But for the time being, six-man tag team action.
07:04Bolton Oleg, Shomakato, and Tatsumatsu Molto take on.
07:07Katsumatsu Molto, Masatoru Yasuda, and Zane J.
07:10It's really been all these Young Lions who have been putting each other through the ringer in our opener
07:14the past eight nights of Super Junior Tag League action, dating all the way back to tonight.
07:18You first join us in Corfin Hall.
07:20Yeah, I mean, we've talked about it since the end of the last tour that everybody getting very antsy.
07:27It's like a real hothouse inside the New Japan dojo.
07:31Masatoru Yasuda has been making noises.
07:32He says he wants to have a Young Lion Cup one of these days.
07:37That wouldn't be a bad idea, especially with the fool the no-gay dojo is getting.
07:40You were saying that yourself earlier on.
07:42Katsumatsu Molto, definitely one that you'd have to look to for a potential excursion.
07:46On the other side of the equation, in the red corner, Shomakato has been talking a lot about
07:50potential Mexican excursion that will be coming up sometime in the future.
07:53Shomakato really, I think, since his early days in the dojo, really had a very strong affinity
07:58to the boys in Seattle and out.
08:00He used to get in trouble.
08:02Do you remember that?
08:03He would get in trouble for being too friendly with the guys when they were over for Fantastica Mania.
08:09He was told off.
08:10As we are to a standstill between Zain J and Tatsu Matsumoto, it's interesting to talk about
08:18that Shomakato line right there, about the Mexican connection and all, of course, coming in
08:22off the back of that television series with Kazuchiko Okada.
08:25Kazuchiko Okada, that deep connection to Mexico as well.
08:28Yeah, he started his own career over in Mexico.
08:31Everything all connected.
08:33Masatoru Yasuda has a Mexican connection as well, of course, second generation.
08:37Mexican city born, Sapporo raised, is Masatoru Yasuda, Shomakato, your legal man, on the red
08:44corner side as well.
08:46And my, oh my, Chris, we got a lot of action to talk about here tonight.
08:49Eight matches on the card, but the top three, of course, super junior tag league finals still
08:54to come later on.
08:55House of Tortures, Doki and Sho, the junior tag team champions take on the War Dogs, Robbie
08:59X and Taiji.
09:00A couple of title matches, of course, global and world heavyweight championship match as well.
09:04A lot of action.
09:05A lot of people in here, man.
09:06We are sold out, we've been sold out for, you know, just about a week at this point in
09:11anticipation of Hiroshi Tanahashi's last time here in-
09:17You know, heading into tonight, Chris, there are so many question marks that are put next
09:22to a lot of names, especially when we talk about the road to Tokyo Dome.
09:25The road continuing with World Tag League 2025 in late November are going to be kicking
09:30off very soon.
09:31I love tag team wrestling.
09:32This is the time of the year between Super Junior Tag League and World Tag League where
09:37you get plenty of it.
09:39And last night, I cannot, you know, state just how incredible that main event was.
09:46The Robbie Eagles, Kosei Fujita, defeated by Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori.
09:51Turn up for the books.
09:52What an incredible tag team match that was.
09:56If you haven't seen all of Super Junior Tag League, recommend you go back after this event
10:01and catch that main event in Osaka yesterday.
10:03Yeah, no doubt about it.
10:04It was an incredible night in Osaka and it placed the War Dogs X and Ishimori into our
10:09Super Junior Tag League final.
10:10The first final three scored since 2016 in the Super Junior Tag Tournament.
10:15Cover here for Tatsi Matsumoto.
10:17And that will only find two here tonight.
10:20But as we get, we'll talk about the heavyweight side of tag team competition.
10:23Our World Tag League lineup's not even close to having been announced just yet.
10:27You have to imagine that the matchmakers at bay are going to be putting the final pieces together.
10:31And maybe one of our young lions or a couple of our young lions could find themselves involved
10:35off the back of a win here.
10:37Well, possibly.
10:37I don't know.
10:38You know, I need to.
10:38Oh, my God.
10:40Well, Yastain ain't going to be in it.
10:41He's going to quit the business after tonight, I think.
10:44That's it.
10:45Send me an excursion far, far, far away from Bolton Oleg.
10:48Hey, send me to Kazakhstan.
10:50I don't care.
10:51Oh, my Lord.
10:52That huge chop from Oleg.
10:54Snap here into a cover here.
10:56Yeah, Oleg thought that one chop was going to be enough to put down Yastain.
10:59I don't exactly blame him.
11:00We are talking, of course, about the former, and I hate to say it, but the former Never
11:04Openweight Champion, a hell of a run that Bolton Oleg went on with that title.
11:14Oh, Yastain, honey, Jesus.
11:16You are having a good night tonight, Chris.
11:19You know, Oleg, a part of a very similar dojo class to men like Kato and Morishima as well.
11:25Right, right.
11:27You know, I mean, I think here you're getting this sense, perhaps, that Yastain is being tested
11:35in physical and mental status.
11:37I think, you know, I mean, Bolton is just a little bit above these other young lions in
11:42terms of experience in the pro wrestling ranks.
11:45And I think the job, the assignment here for Bolton and Oleg is to really assess how far these
11:52kids have come.
11:53You're right about that.
11:54Made his debut back in, what, April 2023.
11:58Bolton and Oleg is now, Shilmakato and Masato Yastain are coming up blows here, center stage.
12:04And on top of a huge job, Kato, that one, ninth edge.
12:09But Yasuda has had enough of that.
12:11Big dropkick to take down Kato.
12:13Well, Kato and Morishima both really have to set up and prove their experience and their
12:21worth here.
12:22And it's going to be Morishima in.
12:24So Kato had the choice, could have made the tag to Matamoto, elected not to.
12:29Because, like I said, he wants to be in there with Morishima.
12:32Both nearly coming up on two years since their debuts in November of 23.
12:39Yeah, you're right about that.
12:40Debut opposite one another.
12:42You could call them generational rivals, perhaps, but trying to look past Shilmakato into his
12:47own bright lights of the future.
12:49And speaking of the likes, yeah, Kato's looking at the Platinum right now.
12:53Cover here for Morishima to count only.
12:58You know, Morishima, especially recently in New Japan, Chris,
13:02I'd argue, so difficult not to root for this young lion for all that he's shown in the
13:06ring.
13:06I think Morishima has a very Tomahiro Yishii vibe to him.
13:10Very much a heavyweight, but at the same time, you know, on the shorter end, a little
13:14bit stocky.
13:15You know, I think it's rare when you get someone that is so powerful, but at the same time
13:19has an underdog charisma.
13:20I think that's something that will potentially make him a big star all over the world.
13:25Well, speaking of stars to be made, here's one that's already been born, never moved to
13:30a champion, the former, in Bolton Oleg.
13:37The collective gasp here tonight in Gifu.
13:39We don't come to Gifu very often, Chris, and this might be one of the first times in a
13:42while Bolton Oleg's been seen here.
13:44Yeah, it's, you know, first time in what, three, four years that we've been here in Gifu.
13:48Oh, my goodness.
13:51Bolton is just making sure no one's coming back to Gifu.
13:55Definitely not going to be leaving the same as Morishima.
13:59Step up and down Oleg.
14:00Oh, here we go.
14:01Watch it.
14:03Oh, no.
14:05The people's Bolton avoided here.
14:07And tag made in the corner.
14:09Here comes Zane Jay.
14:10Big chance for Zane Jay.
14:12Nice spring.
14:13All wrapped up left wide and all.
14:23And Jay wants that whip out of the corner on the heavyweight, the super heavyweight,
14:26and Bolton Oleg we're talking about.
14:28And it is not going to be made easy if it happens at all here.
14:34Zane Jay, former strong survivor over in America, having to use every bit of that survival.
14:40Instincts here in this one.
14:41You're right.
14:42Evasive over the top.
14:43Dropkick going to send Oleg into the corner, though.
14:46And Zane Jay trying to call plays to his youngline affiliates here.
14:49Here's Yasuda in the ring.
14:51He and Yasuda have had kind of a frenemy relationship.
14:54Oh, nice.
14:55Broke through.
14:56Double dropkick.
14:57It's working out right now here for the cover here for Zane Jay.
15:01Two count only.
15:03And that would easily be the biggest win of Zane Jay's very young career.
15:07No doubt.
15:08I mean, we're back in, well, making our New Jersey debut February 27th when we're back
15:13in the United States.
15:14Tickets on sale.
15:15Ticketmaster.
15:15MJ for W1972.com.
15:17Zane Jay would love to be a part of that card, having been the man that beat Bolton Oleg.
15:22Yeah, we are certainly going to see if Zane Jay can manage to flip that over right here.
15:27It's the staple holder that Oleg's own show.
15:29Very impressive.
15:30He's got the super heavyweight and Oleg held down right here.
15:34But Bolton has been in these Boston Crabs a few more times than Zane Jay has in his career.
15:40We're going to see if Oleg can escape from it.
15:42Yeah.
15:44Yeah.
15:46Having to make Bolton really work.
15:49And nice, deep squat there.
15:51And to the bottom row, Bolton will make it anyway.
15:54Yeah.
15:54I think if there's one thing that the Nogay dojo has instilled in Zane Jay that he did not
16:04find under Kushida and the NJPW Academy, it's a killer instinct.
16:08Zane Jay has been right on top of every single opponent he's had.
16:12But he's not going to be able to muscle him up.
16:14Not yet.
16:16Maybe this is the time for Bolton.
16:18And that people's Bolton lands in Gifu.
16:27And a two-count only.
16:31Bolton not making many friends in Washington with this attack on Zane Jay right now.
16:37As on the shoulders here, reach it out.
16:40The verdict has landed.
16:43And a cover here for Oleg tonight.
16:46Three-count victory goes the way of the former member champion.
16:53Well, in the meantime, the bell runs.
16:55But I can see right out in front of us Walker, Yasuna, and Kato going at it at ringside.
17:02I keep telling you they're going stir-crazy, our young lion.
17:06Something's got to be done about this.
17:07Everyone is having to sleep at night with locked doors in the Nōgei Dojo dormitory.
17:16Oh, brother.
17:18As Tatsuya Matsumoto, Shoma Kato, and Bolton Oleg fight victory here tonight in our opening match of the evening.
17:27And we're going to hope our young life can rest up and join us back at ringside soon enough for Tanahashi's final homecoming.
17:32It's trying to keep going.
17:40So, Chris, there's been a lot of talk in post-match comments recently from young lion Tatsuya Matsumoto asking to join Hiroki Gotoh and Gotoh's own revolutionary army.
17:51We're gonna see if well Gotoh is even in the move to take on any more soldiers in that army if he is crowned the new
17:58IWGP World Heavyweight Champion tonight still to come Gotoh, Konosuke Takeshita one-on-one
18:03I think Gotoh becomes World Heavyweight Champion tonight, and yeah, you know, I think
18:08everybody will be in there
18:13And meanwhile for Bolton Oleg certainly to look ahead toward a fourth tag league in the road to the Tokyo Dome
18:19But for now we move right on and in six-man tag action
18:22Horomo Takahashi, Daikinagai, and Gator take on TMDK
