00:00I'm playing Robin Hood though, that's like, that's pretty sick.
00:03Is this hot?
00:04Yeah, it's hot.
00:05When I felt more confident in my accent, I could, you know, switch back to G'day mate.
00:10I still wrote my girlfriend letters.
00:12It's so lovely to meet you guys. Congratulations.
00:16I love what I've seen of the show so far.
00:18Jackie, are you sad though that you'll never be the hottest Robin Hood when we have the Disney Fox?
00:23Oh, like, I mean, you know, I said to Jonathan at the beginning of the filming,
00:27I said, I'm not going to be able to top that, you do understand.
00:29I mean, he totally agreed.
00:31So that was, you know, we covered that straight away.
00:34Right, good.
00:34As long as you've got to turn to that.
00:37What was it being like, the two of you, when you first got together?
00:39Because you have great on-screen chemistry.
00:42Yeah, we just got on as soon as we met each other at the chemistry read in London.
00:47Jack flew from Australia.
00:48I came from Liverpool.
00:50And yeah, I was relieved really when I first had a chat with Jack before we went into the audition room
00:55that he was just such a genuine, nice guy.
00:58And it made me feel really comfortable in the room.
01:00And he had been cast in the role at the time.
01:02So it felt like he was really rooting for me.
01:04And that gave me the confidence.
01:06And we just wanted to both, you know, do the best we could in the room for John and Jonathan
01:10and kind of persuade them that the marrying was going to be me.
01:15Yeah, it was a good choice.
01:16It was a good choice.
01:17Between scenes, did you guys switch back to your regular accents?
01:21Because you've obviously both got really strong accents, but you do not hear it in the show.
01:26Did you switch between or were you staying in, kind of in character?
01:30But, you know.
01:31Actually, first couple of weeks I stayed on, but I wasn't filming with you, so you wouldn't have known.
01:36But the first couple of weeks I stayed in.
01:38But then afterwards, I felt, when I felt more confident in my accent, I could, you know, switch back to G'day, mate.
01:45Yeah.
01:46Yeah, I keep, I flip in and out, yeah.
01:49Which is probably quite funny, isn't it, for people, like, watching and listening to us all day.
01:53Yeah, especially, like, Jack, this is, like, the first time a lot of people would have seen you on our screens.
01:58Yeah, yeah.
01:59Yeah, it's going to be really weird hearing the difference between those, the accents.
02:03What was your favourite, what's your favourite thing about being a Brit, though?
02:06Favourite thing about being a Brit.
02:08Honorary Brit, I should say.
02:09An honorary Brit.
02:10Yeah.
02:11Jeez.
02:11I guess there's a sort of, you know, I mean, because at times, you know, it's, I get the look of, jeez, you're talking very quickly, and I don't really, like, you're Australian, I can tell.
02:22Whereas, you know, when I speak with my Rob accent, I don't get that as, maybe as much.
02:27Yeah.
02:27But, yeah, that's got to be one of them.
02:29I mean, I'm playing Robin Hood, though, that's, like, that's pretty sick.
02:32Right.
02:33Yeah.
02:34Yeah.
02:34I love that.
02:34That is a very sick thing.
02:36Yeah, yeah.
02:36What was it like, as well, the first time you put up the hood and you were Robin Hood?
02:42Yeah, it was pretty surreal in that moment.
02:46And just to see our costume designers face, too, like, they put in such effort, you know, work.
02:53And I was, you know, I didn't have a mirror in front of me.
02:56I mean, when I put it on, I was like, oh, jeez, it feels good.
02:59But, you know, it's always, you want to look at it, right?
03:01But I saw their faces instead and they were, they were so, they were like, oh, we love it.
03:06It looks really great.
03:07We hope you love it, too.
03:08And then I was like, no, I do.
03:09It looks exactly like the drawings, you know.
03:11And, yeah, it was, it was, it was a definite, definite pinch me moment.
03:16Right.
03:16You know, yeah.
03:17Yeah.
03:17That is the moment.
03:18Yeah.
03:19For sure.
03:19The two of you, we do get to see a bit of dancing from the two of you.
03:22Was that your natural dancing skills or did it take a lot of effort?
03:27From the wedding.
03:28Yeah.
03:28Yeah, well, we had a rehearsal, but we only needed one, you know, yeah, put it that way.
03:33We were naturals.
03:35We had such a fun day, though, that day.
03:36That was such a fun time filming that.
03:38Oh.
03:39Yeah.
03:39No, we, yeah, we kind of had that covered, I think.
03:42What was your favourite part of the whole shoot?
03:45Because you texted a lot in here, like a lot, a lot.
03:48I loved our first scene together because just scheduling, we didn't film with each other for two months.
03:54Okay.
03:54And then it wasn't until then where we, like, you know, had that first scene together.
03:58So that was, that was definitely, definitely one.
04:01And then, I mean, any time I was on location, it was just breathtaking, like, where we were, just in those huge forests in Serbia.
04:11Yeah, sort of breathtaking.
04:13And there was, I mean, there was so many.
04:14I'm sort of glazing over.
04:15You knew you didn't shoot it in Nottingham.
04:18Oh, sorry for the spoiler.
04:22How about you?
04:24Again, all the scenes with Jack were amazing.
04:26But I loved working with Steve Waddington, who plays Huntington, even though, you know, the scenes are really dark.
04:32Steve is such a funny guy.
04:34And, like, he brought so much light to the set because, yeah, we're doing these really difficult, tough scenes.
04:40But he just ended up becoming a really good, you know, mentor, really, of mine.
04:45And he's got so much experience that he gave me, you know, great advice.
04:48And I felt like I'd really go to him at any point to kind of ask him questions and things.
04:51He's such a great guy.
04:52I mean, you both, like, get to work with amazing, like, Connie as well in here, which you get to do quite a few scenes with.
04:58And then you've got Sean Bean, like, that must be pretty special as well, right, getting to work with these actors who I imagine, if you like me, you've kind of grown up knowing about.
05:07It was surreal at first, but it became, you know, it became kind of because they're so down to earth and just grounded.
05:14Like, they were just, you know, we were so lucky with the experienced group of actors that we got.
05:21Yeah.
05:21Like, so good at what they do and so willing to give out advice.
05:26And, you know, like, they really believed in the show, too.
05:29Yeah.
05:29And that gave us, like, you know, such a sort of energy kick.
05:33And, yeah, I mean, it was the best time filming with Sean and Connie and stuff.
05:39How good are your archery skills, actually?
05:43Like, how many of those shots that we see did you actually make or were they faked to look like you made?
05:48I'm trying to, like, because I got quite good.
05:51It got to a point where if I was about 30 out, 30 meters out, like, you give me two or three goes, I could hit the bullseye.
06:02But, yeah, yeah.
06:04But, I mean, I just trained, like, I was, yeah, I was pretty full on with it for three weeks.
06:09I really wanted to get good at it.
06:10I really wanted to make it authentic and make it real.
06:13Make the audience see that it's me up there, you know.
06:16That was very important from, like, an audience perspective.
06:20But it helped with my character, too, you know, very much.
06:23You know, it's such a, it's like the bow and arrow is almost like, it's a bit of a character in itself sort of a thing, you know, with Robin Hood.
06:29So, yeah.
06:31So, I needed, yeah, it needed to be done right.
06:33Did you have a go, Lauren, at the archery?
06:35No, unfortunately not.
06:36But we had done a photo shoot for the poster.
06:39We actually were holding the bow.
06:41Yeah.
06:42And, oh, God, it was hard.
06:44Yeah.
06:45It's hard.
06:46It's hard.
06:46I've had it go and I'm like, geez, my aim is, like, it go up there somewhere.
06:50Awful.
06:50That was me, too.
06:51I was, yeah.
06:52It was, at the beginning.
06:53There's hope yet.
06:54We just keep practising.
06:55You've got to start somewhere.
06:56Also, I want to, we see Marion writing love letters to Rob.
07:01Get used to calling Rob in this one.
07:03Have you guys ever done anything like that?
07:05Have you ever written, because I love old romance, like, for scenes, I'm like that.
07:09I'm like, oh, I'm a little hopeless romantic.
