Hamas recently handed over partial remains of three bodies to Israel through the Red Cross, but Israeli authorities quickly determined they did not belong to any of the hostages. The transfer, confirmed by Al-Qassam fighters, was reportedly meant to counter Israeli claims of knowing the locations of most hostage bodies. While Israel has accused Hamas of deliberately withholding captives’ remains, Hamas stated its teams are ready to continue recovering bodies from areas under their control and called on intermediaries for equipment to aid the process.
