00:00It was just after 2 a.m. when the sound jolted me awake.
00:03A high-pitched, tinny giggle echoed from the corner of my daughter's room.
00:06I sat up in bed, heart pounding, listening.

00:10Again the unmistakable laugh of the GiggleBot robot she got for her last birthday.
00:14My blood ran cold.
00:16The sound was impossible.
00:17I distinctly remember the frustration, the sheer annoyance of that toy going off at all hours.
