00:02Today I have a short tutorial about changing windshield wipers.

00:08On the 5 Series, or pretty much all BMWs that I know of, you can't fold the wiper arm up.

00:16There's a so-called service position, which I'll show you how to do.

00:20To do this, the ignition must be off, or rather, this first stage or whatever it's called,

00:30the nut should not be running, and then simply push the wiper lever down and hold it down.

00:38It will now wipe twice and then it will stay like that and then you can actually change it.

00:43You can now fold them away like that and yes, then it's really easy, right?

00:53So you have this button here, right?

00:56You can even press it with one hand, I hope, or not.

01:00Yes, wait a minute.

01:04So, you press the button in and then you push it up like this and you can then take it out like this.

01:08It's really easy actually, and the same goes for the new one.

01:13You have the button here again.

01:17And you just put it in here and push it in.

01:21And that's it.

01:23Then you fold it over and I'll do the other one in a moment.

01:27But first I'll show you how to release the lock again, because I think that only works when the engine is running.

01:33So, you can actually press it as much as you want, nothing happens.

01:36So, the best thing to do is turn on the engine and then press down once and then they'll be back in their normal position.
