00:00Hello. Hello. Oh, hello there. My name is Robert. Hello. You all right there, Mike? Yes, I'm fine, thank you. My name is Robert, and I'm from the Jehovah's Witness. Yep. And I've just been speaking to your neighbor, Stephen, over there, and he said he thought you'd be very interested in what I had to say.
00:21The reason I'm knocking on your door is the fact that, as you know, it's coming up to Halloween now, and Halloween is a pagan festival and anti-God, and I'm just checking to make sure that you're not allowing your children to celebrate Halloween as it goes against the principles of Christianity and the Jehovah's Witness.
00:41Okay, well, that's really none of your business if I'm celebrating God. No, I don't know, but Steve told you to come here.
00:49Yes, he did. He said he thought that you were very open-minded and would be interested to hear what I have to say.
00:55Well, let me tell you about Steve, yeah. Steve. Oh, God, I hate Steve. Yeah, no, mate. We are going to be celebrating Halloween, and well, no, it's not like we're celebrating it like we're praying to a pumpkin, but we're going to take our kids to do trick-or-treating.
01:12You see, but that trick-or-treating is a pagan ritual.
01:17It's actually not. It's actually getting free sweets for the kids, so then we don't have to obviously pay them.
01:22Yes, well, sweets are very bad for kids' teeth, as you can appreciate, and gives them a sugar rush. I don't actually think that's a sensible thing for a parent to do, do you?
01:30Well, if you want to come inside and lecture to a child, no, actually, no, you're not coming inside.
01:36I'd love to come inside, but I wouldn't lecture to your children, obviously. I'd just obviously point the error of your ways to you personally.
01:45Yeah, but, like, what I'm saying is, like, okay, like, what you believe in is great, but it's not like I'm going to, like, give thanks to a pumpkin or a scarecrow, you know what I mean?
01:59Yes, but you must appreciate that what you're saying is that you're celebrating things like demons.
02:07No, no, no, I'm not celebrating a demon. It's not like I'm like, oh, you're right there, demon. Hi, how you doing? I'm not doing that.
02:14We're just going to dress up, have a bit of fun with the kids, and get some free sweets.
02:19Yes, but you could do that in other ways without actually bowing down to the pressure.
02:26I'm sorry?
02:27Are you going to give sweets to the kids?
02:30No, I'm not, because I think that's not appropriate, actually. I think giving sweets, as I said before, is bad for children's health.
02:37But that's not the issue here. I'm not actually talking about the sweet.
02:40I'm talking about the whole concept of celebrating a Halloween, which is, in fact, a pagan festival,
02:46and goes against the grain of Christianity, of being a Muslim, of being anything, really, that appertains to the belief in a God.
02:54Okay. Like I've said, that's great. But we do not think of it that deep.
03:02Well, maybe you should. If I could come in, I could explain it to you much better.
03:07I've got some interesting information on my iPad here that I think you'd find fascinating.
03:11Yeah.
03:13Oh, good.
03:15Yeah, so, okay.
