00:12uh at eight and that's uh jacob two times is part of the radio family uh of the bay area he uh has
00:19been a long-standing like communicator with radio he you'll hear him on random radio stations across
00:26the bay area down in fort myers like he really you know taps in and uh and he loves him some
00:33meredith he tolerates us because he loves him some meredith yeah and and so she she uh sang him happy
00:40birthday this morning and gave him some it was sweet it was sweet i needed that because i just
00:46been feeling like uh like crap after yesterday feeling like a loser parent in general i was just
00:54i took uh aubrey she just turned nine to the dentist yesterday and if you remember six months
01:00ago because we go every six months um i came in here and i was upset that she had a cavity so um
01:05instead and i we talked about it i got it filled and she had like the little silver and she still
01:11hasn't i hate it so anyway the gorilla yeah right right and so she was mad about that thing she's
01:16like my daughter got a silver tooth looking at it every day i'm like this was not the decision i should
01:20have made but that's okay it'll fall out eventually um so i was kind of looking forward
01:23to taking her yesterday because she's really been working on her teeth and then the dentist comes
01:28in after doing the x-rays and explains that she has three more cavities and i'm just wait now don't
01:38say so yeah she's a kid like i mean i mean yeah it ain't so i mean it's not terrible you shouldn't
01:44feel like a crappy parent i do feel like a crappy parent but it ain't a soul that's what but that's
01:48three more that ain't like that ain't the same one you're not counting the other one
01:51no yeah so three more so four all together that's a lot and i just there's a couple of things that
01:57ran through my head like is this i don't understand because even growing up i don't remember like kids
02:02having a ton of cavities and now it's not just aubry i'm sure it's it's happening to other kids too
02:09and i'm just looking at her and i just feel so defeated and like i'm not doing something right and
02:14then she starts crying because she's upset about it and then i have to make a decision a couple of
02:19them can be treated with some like antibacterial stuff and they paint it on and and then it'll be
02:23fine she goes she goes you know for another checkup to make sure it's not getting any bigger right and
02:29then well the other one is is apparently really big okay it's next to the i don't know something
02:35very sensitive they gotta take they gotta take that thing it's the dentist called it a baby root
02:39canal is what she needs and then they have to you know do whatever they do and then cap it
02:44again so it's the same tooth but on the other side that she had to take care of right don't do
02:49that and so i'm like oh my god i can't this is like and it's extra money so they bring me the two
02:55options one is the baby root canal the other option extraction is to extract it they put a spacer there
03:02there you go to leave like an open hole there all day and the dentist showed me on the x-ray that
03:07the tooth her her permanent tooth is going to be coming in within the next year yeah so that means
03:13that extract that thing and i bet you it's a tenth of the cost so the baby root canal and all that
03:19three hundred and like fifty dollars yeah the extraction and then the thirty five dollars it's
03:25twenty five i guess i know what we're doing i guess we know we about to miss it and i'm like i can't
03:30take that thing out i can't have her walking around with no tooth yeah you can that's what kids do
03:36that's what kids do that's the whole thing they got they got summer teeth some of them here some of them
03:40right but then i even feel like even a worse parent because now there's this whole situation
03:45and now i'm just gonna let my kid walk around with no tooth your daughter got the bling bling
03:49and then she gonna have the bling missing oh my god i'm like yo but but her teeth her teeth are
03:54gonna replace these are just these are temporary teeth these are baby teeth i know don't spend you
03:59gonna spend 350 on each tooth that come up with a problem and then it's just gonna pop out and get
04:04replaced nah nah extract that thing listen extraction i can't let her walk around with
04:10no tooth she's it's in the back ain't nobody gonna miss it it's not all the way in the back it's on
04:15the like a little side area right here would you let your kid just walk around with no tooth hell yeah
04:20hell yeah really you said 300 you said 300 and 25 dollars yeah all day you you see you hear that
04:2825 all day we paid that 25 and all that but like you said they're still just baby teeth but also i
04:34want to tell you like i feel like you take these dentist trips very personally like you're the one
04:41that gave him a cavity and i don't think you should take it that way i know it's her her responsibility
04:45to brush her teeth but it's also my responsibility to make sure she's doing and flossing more and all
04:49this oh damn added a13 it says my nephew is three with veneers in his whole front what yeah and the
04:56whole front with veneers and he's three that's a see maybe i'm judgmental maybe i is it the parent
05:04is it the kid is it just genetics i don't get it this person says this is not bad parenting thing
05:09this is a public health thing i don't i don't understand my son greg says my son has an infection
05:16in his gums and it spread through the top of his teeth at four he had all of his top teeth pulled
05:23except two he's four with no teeth extract them extract them really because you don't want it to
05:31go to the other you don't want it to spread it yeah because they it spreads it's contagious
05:38yeah it's contagious tell her don't be kissing also just to put this out there i've never had a cavity
05:44so that's also the other thing i always thought like if you have a ton of cavities like obviously
05:48i'm like this person not taking care of their teeth i felt like it was kind of like a turnoff a
05:52little bit but i guess this is just like i mean listen but you you want her to get better
05:57practices and this is why you know at a young age you to have them practice do the flossing and do
06:04everything else and and also make sure she's brushing at night and in the morning yeah she's
06:08doing all that but like brushing good like make a song or something you know i'm saying like get
06:13her to sing a song i have the timer for two minutes i have both girls you know are you in there when
06:17she's doing yes yes i know we've been really keeping up with it the last six months because
06:21of said situation before and then this happened and i'm just kind of like i thought i was staying
06:26on top of it but i guess i wasn't y'all know meredith is all about image pulled in baby teeth
06:32and start saving for some braces that's what she's definitely gonna need one three take it out my
06:37daughter was in the same situation last year no one knows unless they are all in the up in her mouth
06:43yeah yeah and ain't nobody gonna be up in there well you would you would have your kid just walk
06:47around with no teeth oh yeah snaggle tooth the hell when they when they're young oh my god yeah i mean
06:51i think it's awesome when you see kids with no teeth because the first thing you ask them is like you
06:55got a lot of money under your pillow don't you because they they get it from i mean that's how they
06:59get it tooth fairy yeah i think my kids was knocking out their teeth on purpose to get paid
07:03like because teeth was just popping out left and right i'm like hold up now i think y'all are just
07:07pushing these out now you know i'm saying so it is what it is but don't feel bad
07:11because i knew you was kind of funky this morning i don't know why yeah but like yeah don't don't
07:16that's not you and anthony's fault that's just that's them kids you like going to the dentist now

07:36i have a great dentist who just moved like light years closer to me from wesley chapel to now down
07:42in hyatt park um but i i i love i like my dentist because he's solid and i love my hygienist you love
07:50like i love her because she babies me she puts extra like little numbing and stuff on there when
07:56i'm getting stuff done i'm like i don't want to feel nothing so now she knows oh yeah you go in
08:00and she's like yeah and she really does that everything yeah yeah you don't have novocaine
08:06have your teeth cleaned yeah like some numbing cream okay listen mind your business meredith i'm
08:10just saying she wears scrubs doesn't she oh she's so cute but i'm but i mean but that ain't it right
08:18it's helpful though she's not single no no like that so i'm there but she's just really really a
08:22really nice person so yeah so i mean get make sure your kid like just reiterate that that whole thing
08:28that you love going to the dentist and blah blah and then you know just show up by example you'll
08:33be all right do you guys go every three four months how often do you guys go i believe the fifth
08:38when was the last time you've been to the dentist i went like last year like last year yeah like last
08:45year yeah i went last year yeah that was the last time i went to the dentist it's been so you go once
08:49a year i go yeah probably if that i go like probably like once every other year okay i only go when
08:55that's a problem honestly all right yeah i mean i go every six months yeah yeah they make you they
09:01probably call you like they call they're like hey time to book it you know they call it now and i'm
09:05like back up off me dog i don't want that all right but i do gotta go see him all right anyway

09:19imagine having a 10 year old that refuses to shower brush his teeth or anything hygienic oh my
09:27god want to smite him but he is not my child oh my gosh it's stinky i mean listen you can't stinky
09:34kid right but you i know like that trust me that was one of the things that helped me as a kid
09:40because we had someone in our class because i was in catholic school so your class was your class the
09:46whole day you didn't switch classes yeah we had one person in our class that was funky monkey
09:50like you could just you you can smell them coming and and i was just like i i bathed because i did
09:57not want to be the stinky kid yeah like because you go play like you go hard on recess and gym and
10:02all that stuff and if you ain't showering after the gym which they didn't make us shower
10:06so he wouldn't and he's and he was like he was the biggest in the class okay so i was like yo dude
10:12like man you talk about showers what's his name man man no man was there i never realized his name
10:20was tracy young his name we called him man i remember like 30 middle school high school like
10:25we'd go and play football uh during lunch and stuff and then come back inside and i never like
10:29realized till after the fact i'm like damn i was really out there like thank going hard trying to
10:35like grass stains all that and coming back into class and it didn't even think i was thinking
10:40yeah that's what i'm saying and you're wearing that little uniform so you gotta wear the same
10:44thing it's just like yeah trust me i i get it but but there are some people in here i guess correct
10:50okay so report cards came out somebody says i refuse to blame myself as a parent meredith you did what
10:57you had to do now it's time for the children to do same way with my kids grades my kids grades have
11:04more c's and d's than a's and b's and i refuse to blame myself because i'm on his ass every day
11:09right i mean there's only so much you can do as a parent but then it just like are you not doing
11:14enough you always kind of i judge myself i damn sure judge myself about the kids grades like if
11:18they have a struggle with something i feel like i'm failing and like i set them up with tutors and
11:24and you know and mom sets them up with tutors and so they and they do well with it but it's just like
11:29yo you gotta you gotta remember when you was in school you didn't always kill it no i know damn well
11:34i didn't always kill it you know what i mean the parents they got on us but they let it ride
11:38i mean so yeah you they gotta figure it out like you know what i mean like i i i'm not gonna be
11:45out here stressing myself over there greg out of texas says everybody in fourth and fifth grade had
11:50someone that smelled like pee in their class yeah yeah like pee yeah yeah you ain't have somebody who
11:58was the stinky kid i remember i remember the names really yeah do you remember the names of the

12:15that is diabolical i'm like listen who's the stinky kid did you see the light bulb pop up

12:23grass stains all over i'm obviously joking no but like no then you know when you think back at your
12:33times in school and stuff like you think about those times where you know you weren't at your
12:37best usually we had to go right over to the next class ever so right after pe they gave you like 10
12:4215 minutes to get changed and go to the next class at least in high school 10 minutes off wait after
12:47pe yeah after pe when they line you up to come in this inside it was go right back in class there
12:52wasn't no get get cleaned up but no not cleaned up it was just but for because we had to get changed
12:57out we weren't in our oh no we was outside in our straight up uniform what we had to get
13:02changed you didn't get gym clothes you didn't change to gym but when you went out for recess
13:06you went out to recess with the regular clothes on because we was playing football like the whole
13:12time football or dodgeball or whatever you was in your uniform yeah and then you would rip them
13:17and then have to put a something around your waist because your underwear be shown right you know i mean
13:23see i had to put something around my waist because i had grass stains everywhere like so i
13:27used to wear the sweater around the waist yeah that was when i bust my pants i thought i was
13:31zach morris yeah that's how you do it you guys are just walking around wrong i remember andy
13:38perzo used to go open his sandwich his little tupperware and he would take the bologna and he would
13:45take it and squeeze it and where it was like almost like it was just mush it was just mush okay and then
13:52he would sit there and eat it off his hand and we all thought he was an axe murderer like yo like
13:58andy is crazy and he would do that every day he didn't want the bread so i don't know maybe he's
14:02on keto before keto was keto but he wouldn't eat the bread and his mom would make him a bread and
14:07sandwich every morning he was taking a squishing and you'll be sitting there looking i'm like you
14:12are nasty dude yeah um at the 567 out of ohio it says we have a stinky kid here at work and i am a
14:20mechanic we stink in general at the end of the day he stinks at 7 a.m everyone is scared to tell
14:27him but you need to like yeah if anybody should it should be like i mean if you work with somebody
14:34you got to tell them and then just be like if y'all don't have an hr because it's like a
14:38a mechanic situation yeah y'all just got to put aside and be like hey man listen and do like an
14:42overall to everybody say hey man listen like we in the closed quarters in here you know we got we
14:47got to make sure we stay clean because we we work hard so everybody wash what you got because it's
14:53starting to be a little pungent in the office so wash what you got and make sure y'all scrubbing
14:57all this stuff off you so we can get every day's work and say it to everybody right so everybody
15:02catches a hint and then when he walked by you you smell him again that's when you got to put him
15:05aside be like hey man hey man that was about you listen listen we came for breeze enough for breeze
15:11to get your breeze right yeah you stink the only time i've had to have a semi-conversation like that
15:16when it comes to this situation and being at the radio station or anywhere is when somebody's wearing
15:21way too much cologne yeah and trying to cover that thing up i i don't know if you know or can
15:28think about anybody that in the past has like way too much cologne yeah and it's just like it it takes
15:35over the entire studio and you can smell the person walking down the hallway and i'm like oh my god
15:40oh wait uh i'm not gonna say her name but she said we have one at work right now oh my god
15:45i'm not gonna say the name but yeah y'all are yeah aware of your body odor i'm so aware of like
15:52trying to be clean and make sure i don't smell oh this out of the 863 imagine picking up your child
15:56they get in the car and you realize your child is the stinky kid oh that's not good well that's where
16:02you feel like you failed yes that's where you feel like you failed because your kid goes out to
16:07represent your fam so somebody walks up and shakes their hand he's like hey ain't you sheila's boy
16:12yeah yeah and they're like sheila you need to get your house right see but your boy smell like death
16:18i feel like parents are the ones that that tell them though it's like there's one thing like as a
16:23parent you tell your kid you'd be like oh you need to go take a shower if you just say that the kids
16:27are like oh you're just being a mom but if you'd be like you stink i i do that the girls come in
16:32after playing all day or you know on the weekend and they come in and i'm like what the
16:36oh go upstairs my mama never told me i stink she just told me you smell like outside
16:41okay go take a shower she's like go take a shower you smell like outside and i knew that man a little
