00:00And in this context, the Venezuelan Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace informed on Friday that it requested the Supreme Court of Justice to revoke the nationality of a citizen over his public calls for a foreign invasion of the nation.
00:13Through an official statement, the institution informed that in accordance with the decision of the revolutionary government led by President Nicolás Maduro and in compliance with the constitution and laws of the republic, it requested that the Supreme Court of Justice revoke the Venezuelan nationality of the citizen John Goicochea.
00:32In the communique, the ministry explained that the action is being taken in response to the public call made by the individual to request and cooperate with foreign forces for the invasion and military occupation of Venezuela to persecute and exterminate officials of the various security forces and the armed forces, as well as the mass murder of Venezuelans who are part of the popular power movements and organizations.
00:59In this context, the institution closed the statement by informing that the competent authorities would take the necessary administrative measures to eliminate any document that identifies him as a Venezuelan citizen as the state reaffirms its commitment to defending national sovereignty against any form of surrender, treason or complicity with foreign powers.
