00:00Unless you've been tracked down by the TV-licensed Boogeyman,
00:02you're probably watching the celebrity traitors.
00:04You know what celebrities are like? They're two-faced.
00:07Everyone's favourite game of double, triple, quadruple bluff is back.
00:11And it's juicier than ever.
00:12This is by far the best season of the traitors we've ever seen.
00:15Imagine all your favourite national treasures being openly duplicitous
00:19and stabbing each other in the back.
00:21Amazing.
00:22Basically the golden age of British TV.
00:24Who knew that the thing to finally unite the nation would be a fart from Celia Imri?
00:28If you want to avoid spoilers, then this is your final warning.
00:31Otherwise, let's have a recap of who's been banished so far.
00:34We started with 19 contestants and now we're down to the final few.
00:37The BBC, understandably, are keeping things locked down as severely as Winkleman's Fringe.
00:42We didn't even get a press preview this week.
00:44So you'll have to excuse the super high production value of this graphic
00:48that I definitely didn't have to make this morning after last night's banishment.
00:52To get the inside scoop on how to play the ultimate game of deceit,
00:56who better to talk to than the greatest traitor of all time.
01:00Harry Clark from season two of the Traitors.
01:02Harry, thank you so much for joining us today.
01:05Thank you for having me.
01:06I mean, I would have loved to have been there in person,
01:08but I turned up yesterday.
01:10As soon as I put my jacket down to sit down,
01:12and when we was going to record,
01:13the whole building fire alarm started going off.
01:15So then we had to be rushed outside,
01:17which is where we met in a wet alleyway.
01:19Behind the building in an alleyway while it was raining.
01:24Yeah, we'd done the whole interview and chat and caught up on life.
01:27Yeah, it was kind of a mad one, to be fair.
01:29A few moments later.
01:31I would love it if you could give us like a little bit of a Traitors Masterclass
01:34on like, how do you play the ultimate game of deception like you did?
01:39Firstly, you go in there with true intention.
01:40So you're going in there to play the Traitors.
01:42So for me, it was always like,
01:44everyone needs to have an opinion of who it is.
01:45I don't blame you.
01:47You know, it's nothing against you.
01:48You think it's me, that's fine.
01:49But I think it's Paul because he just said this and this and this.
01:52What do you think about that?
01:53So it was always playing them off on each other.
01:55And that would be my top tip going into the Traitors.
01:57It's like, you have to be quite good at stirring the pot.
02:00I think you have to be willing to make your move to check the King.
02:03No, Ron, no!
02:05Now, I love the Traitors as much as the next person,
02:08but let's be honest, nobody's here for the challenges.
02:11I can't be the only one who went to make a cup of tea
02:13when Claudia rolled out that Trojan horse.
02:15The real reason we all watch the Traitors?
02:17The roundtables.
02:18That's where the fingerless gloves come off
02:20and the players vote to banish a suspected Traitor.
02:22And I think next time she goes snooping,
02:24she should look in the mirror.
02:25And it's here that the show really delivers
02:27its best and most memeable moments.
02:29I mean, A star for Alan Carr's GCSE drama performance this season.
02:33It was a stretch for my acting ability.
02:36I don't know how Meryl Streep does it.
02:37How do you see the Traitors this season?
02:39Like, who's been playing the best game for you?
02:41Obviously, they're completely different to me
02:42because I would have backstabbed everyone else in that turret by now.
02:46Alan Carr, obviously, I think he's so bad, he's good.
02:48You know, like, in the sense that he's got this aura about him
02:52and this persona where it's like,
02:53you could ask him if he's a traitor and he'd go,
02:55yeah, babe, I'll murder you tonight.
02:56And then you just wouldn't even think it's him.
02:58So, like, he gets away with it.
02:59And then Kat Burns has done amazing at just being quiet
03:01and sort of just guiding her way through.
03:04Do you find it hard watching at home?
03:05Because you kind of sat there thinking,
03:07come on, guys, it's so simple.
03:08Like, you just need to do this, this, and this,
03:10and this is what I would do if I wasn't there.
03:12Yeah, but then I'm also sat at home
03:14knowing that it's completely different
03:16when you're there playing the game.
03:18You know, it's like watching a boxing fight on TV.
03:20It's like, oh, you should throw this one, throw that.
03:22And it's like, well, you're not actually in the ring doing it.
03:23Now, I'll admit, I was a little sceptical
03:25of this celebrity version at first.
03:27In the first few episodes,
03:28we could see everybody being very nicey-nicey with each other.
03:32And there's something to be said for the civilian seasons.
03:34Like, just regular people with nothing to lose,
03:37just going for the jugular.
03:38But I'm sorry, you're shifty as hell tonight.
03:41Celebs, on the other hand,
03:42they have publicists to think about,
03:44not to mention brand deals.
03:45It might be a little tricky calling Joe Marler a liar
03:47and then asking him to go on your podcast.
03:49I'm a grown man. What the hell am I doing?
03:51Do you think that there's an element
03:53that fame works against you in this game?
03:56Did it kind of give you a bit of an advantage,
03:58like working under a bit of anonymity?
04:00Probably. I mean, I don't know how they would be.
04:03Like, for example, if it was me,
04:04I'd get rid of my mate straight away.
04:06If it was me and Paul going back,
04:07I'd backstab him straight away.
04:08There's no friends in that game.
04:10Just like Alan did to Paloma, I guess.
04:12That was the perfect move.
04:13Obviously, there's all these reports of, like,
04:15Alan and Paloma have had this falling out
04:17since the whole thing.
04:18I find that hard to watch without thinking about
04:20that piece of cinema
04:21in the finale of season two that you were in,
04:24where you betrayed Molly.
04:25I am, and since the start,
04:28being a traitor.
04:31Oh, my f***ing God.
04:32What would be your advice for contestants
04:34dealing with, like,
04:36the fallout of those kind of intense
04:38on-screen relationships?
04:39Molly, for example, was amazing.
04:41She was like, you know,
04:42I'm just happy I got this far.
04:43And if anyone deserved to win, it was you.
04:45So it's like,
04:46when you have people like that,
04:47it makes it way easier for you
04:48because it is just a game.
04:50And I think if you're falling out
04:51with someone over it,
04:52then maybe you need to, like,
04:54grow up a little bit, you know?
04:55Like, it's not really
04:57something to fall out with people over.
05:00You've become, like,
05:01a national treasure
05:02kind of in your own right
05:03since the traitors.
05:04If you were asked to go on
05:05a celebrity season of the traitors,
05:06would you do it?
05:07Obviously, I would love to go back.
05:09Like, I watch it all of the time
05:10and I watch the celebrity series
05:12and I'm like,
05:12oh, my gosh, I wish I was there
05:13because I would have done this
05:14or I would have done that.
05:15But then it's also one of them things
05:16of, like,
05:16no one's ever going to trust me again.
05:18If anyone knows who I am
05:19or has ever seen me play the traitors,
05:21they're getting rid of me
05:22no matter what.
05:23There's nothing I can say for myself.
05:25What are your favourite moments
05:26from this season?
05:27What's been Jonathan Ross'
05:28most outrageous outfit?
05:29Which, by the way,
05:30surely has got to be
05:31a tactic in itself, right?
05:32Who's your top pick to win?
05:34Drop it in the comments below
05:35along with any predictions
05:36you have for the final.
