00:09can even float on water for two hours. Gilly presented the Galaxy Battleship,
00:16officially called the Galaxy Cruiser, as a prototype at the Shanghai Auto Show,
00:20thus introducing a technology-focused off-road SUV with an electric drive.
00:25According to Gilly, the design combines eastern aesthetics with Chinese elements.
00:32But the similarity to the Defender with round LED headlights,
00:36side-mounted accessories and a robust front bumper is obvious.
00:40From the side, the Galaxy Battleship has the style of soft-focus box SUVs that are currently
00:46flooding the Chinese market. Visually similar to the BYD Feng Sheng Bao Bao 5 are models from Barique,
00:53Haval and Sherry Jetor. At the rear there is an upright design with vertically arranged Volvo-style
00:59taillights, a duck spoiler and an externally-mounted spare wheel.
01:05GILL hasn't yet revealed specific dimensions, but they suggest a similar size to the Toyota Land Cruiser
01:11and the Prado. A solid foundation for serious off-road adventures.
01:18Inside, the Galaxy Battleship welcomes visitors with a freestanding infotainment display and a
01:23separate digital display on the passenger side, the so-called exploration kit.
01:28The floating center console houses the off-road control island, a hunting-inspired hub for off-road-specific
01:36functions. Particularly useful for campers, there's a multifunctional tailgate with integrated
01:43storage compartments and a large bed that folds out within the interior. Furthermore,
01:49GILL's satellite network ensures that the SUV remains connected even in remote areas.
01:54GILL has so far revealed few details about the drive system. What is known is that an AI-supported
02:01system automatically switches between electric hybrid and range extender modes, adapting to
02:07different terrain and driving situations. The intelligent all-wheel drive system continuously
02:13distributes torque to each wheel, enabling functions such as crab walking, 360 degrees turns,
02:19drifting, and even driving on a flat tire. For water adventures, the Galaxy Battleship can swim for up
02:27to two hours and reach speeds of over 8 kilometers per hour. Safe river crossing is aided by a radar and
02:35sonar system. Back on solid ground, according to Gilly, the SUV completed the L-chest at a record speed of
02:4480 kilometers per hour, although this figure has not yet been independently confirmed. While neither the
02:51battery capacity nor the electric range are known, the vehicle is equipped with Gilly's golden short blade
02:57battery. This battery features a bulletproof coating and materials designed to protect against
03:04deformation, fire, and explosions. There is no information yet about the market launch. However,
03:12the Galaxy Battleship is expected to initially appear in China with possible expansion to selected
