00:00Now, were you born with this nervousness?

00:02Tell me, have you seen a nervous six-month-old?

00:05Have you ever picked up a six-month-old that is feeling inferior and nervous?

00:10That, oh my God, there is such a big audience.

00:12How will I present myself in front of them?

00:14I have met six-month-olds who would, in front of an audience of 1,000, cry their lungs out.

00:21The movie theater would be packed.

00:23A greatly captivating scene is going on on the screen.

00:27And what does this six-month-old do?

00:29If he wants to cry, if he wants to shout, he will shout.

00:32He has no hesitation.

00:33No hesitation at all.

00:35You may be a very respectable man.

00:37But if he doesn't like your face and you pick him up and you say, oh, kuchiku, he'll slap you.

00:43Have you not seen six-month-old do that?

00:44He doesn't like you, he'll slap you.

00:46And you may be the CEO of some company.

00:48Doesn't matter.

00:49He doesn't like you, he doesn't bother.

00:51He has no problems going around naked.

00:54You don't like my body, your problem, you hide your face.

00:57You don't look at me.

00:58I want to go around naked.

00:59Too hot, too humid.

01:01How can I wear these diapers all the time?

01:03Nobody is born nervous.

01:05Nobody is born under confident.

01:08But today, almost all of you are so hesitant.

01:11Today, almost all of you are victims of some kind of complex.

01:15Many complexes rather.

01:16Where did you get these complexes from?

01:18Somebody gave them to you.

01:20Social forces, education, media.

01:23They all got together to victimize you.

01:26This is called the ego being second-handed.

01:29And that is also the only way to get rid of ego.

01:32To attain to your basic childlike nature.

01:37To attain to your uncorrupted nature.

01:41That is the way to freedom from ego.

01:44To give up all the concepts and thoughts and self-beliefs that you have been made to acquire.

01:50Give them up.

01:51That is freedom from ego.

01:53Ego is not pride, first of all.

01:55I hope that much is clear to us.

01:57Ego is our very self-concept.

01:59I am nervous.

02:00This is an ego statement.

02:02I am very smart.

02:03This is ego.

02:03I am so stupid.

02:05Everybody calls me stupid.

02:07And many of you hold this belief very close to your heart.

02:11I am so stupid.

02:12This is ego.

02:13To call yourself stupid is ego.

02:15No child calls himself stupid.

02:18But adults call themselves stupid.

02:20Surely, this thought is an acquired thought.

02:24Hence, it is being called a second-hand thought.
