00:22Kia has launched the Carnival in 2025, and we're dealing with a model that has increased significantly in price.
00:30Across the entire model range, prices have risen by almost €3,000 on average.
00:35The entry-level 60 model now costs around €38,000.
00:40For that, you get a Carnival with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers a whopping 287 horsepower.
00:48The power is sent to the front wheels only via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
00:54This entry-level price may seem quite high at first glance, but the equipment is impressive.
01:00Seven seats, electrically-operated sliding doors in the rear, three-zone automatic climate control and 17-inch alloy wheels are all included as standard.
01:10The technology is also really good for an entry-level model.
01:13The LX model features a 12.3-inch touchscreen and comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
01:23For added safety, there's a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
01:34Those looking for a bit more luxury will find it in the SX Prestige, which costs just under €40,000.
01:41That's a price jump of almost €4,000 compared to last year's model.
01:46This version offers a truly upscale driving experience with ventilated and heated leather seats, two large 12.3-inch panoramic displays, a high-resolution camera system, LED headlights, and a head-up display.
02:01The basic configuration remains the same here, though.
02:06You're still driving a Carnival with a V6 engine and three seats.
02:10However, those waiting for the new hybrid could have a completely different experience.
02:15The hybrid, which was added for the 2025 model year, relies on a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine coupled to a 54-kilowatts electric motor.
02:28Together, this results in a system output of 242 horsepower and 270 newton-meters of torque.
02:35Power is transmitted here via a six-speed automatic transmission, which also only drives the front wheels.
02:41It should be noted that the hybrid is not a plug-in and therefore does not offer a purely electric range.
02:48However, there are no detailed consumption estimates for this variant so far.
02:53The Kia Carnival in its basic configuration is available to order now, while the hybrid version is set to go on sale this fall.
