00:00Hi, I'm Miles and we're here today at Triumph's Global Headquarters in Hinkley in the UK for
00:11the launch or the reveal of a brand new motorcycle from Triumph and that's the new Tiger Sport
00:16660.
00:18This joins the Trident in Triumph's middleweight motorcycle lineup and will be coming into
00:23dealers around the world from February in 2022.
00:26So let me tell you what's new with this motorcycle and what makes it stand out in its category.
00:32Well, this goes head-to-head with a few motorcycles that are all about versatility, um, all-round
00:37riding capability, bikes that are used for touring, commuting, uh, weekend riding.
00:43So, they have to be uh good on several fronts.
00:45So, what makes this unique?
00:47First, this has a triple engine, a three-cylinder engine, which puts out more power than any
00:52of the bikes in the category already.
00:54So, that's 81 horsepower and also has a torque-rich power delivery.
00:59So, it's got similar characteristics down low to the twins that are in the category already.
01:05So, nice quick pickup but that power and that torque goes through the mid-range all the way
01:09to the top end which twin engine motorcycles typically can't do.
01:13So, that's one advantage.
01:14The second advantage is this bike brings technology and equipment that's class-leading.
01:19So, we have TFT instruments.
01:22None of the bikes in the category have a TFT instrument setup and what that gives you is
01:27really clear instrument display control um of the information as you're riding.
01:31The ability to add our TFT connectivity system on my trip connectivity, which allows you to
01:37do phone calls, navigation, uh, play, and control your music as well.
01:43Now, on top of that we have two riding modes.
01:45None of the other bikes in the categories have riding modes.
01:48That's road and rain.
01:49And that of course gives the ride great control.
01:51In different, uh, in different riding conditions.
01:54And we also have switchable traction control, uh, which is more advanced than some of the
01:58bikes in the category as well.
01:59And that traction control is set up in the riding modes.
02:02But you can also go into the instrument menu and turn that off if you need to as well.
02:06On top of that, a very high specification of branded equipment.
02:10So, we have shower front and rear.
02:12So, we got shower upside down, uh, forks on the front with twin discs and Nissan brakes.
02:17A great braking setup.
02:19And on the back we have a shower monoshoek setup which is adjustable with a hydraulic
02:24adjustment for preload as well.
02:26And of course that's to help set the bike up for luggage or for you riding a pillion.
02:30In terms of the ride, the riding dynamics of this bike have been designed to be really
02:34accessible.
02:35So, you got a nice 835 meters low seat height.
02:38It's a very comfortable bike.
02:40It's got a slim width going into the tank which gives you great standover which of course
02:44means good Lowe's maneuverability.
02:47Um, the seat and the riding position is um puts you into a more upright riding position
02:52and that of course goes with the looks as well.
02:54The bike has a really nice sort of upright poise and of course this is a new style and
02:59the new look for our Tiger range.
03:02And on top of that class leading power and class leading technology we also have a really
03:06great accessible advantage when it comes to being the lowest cost of ownership in the
03:11category.
03:11Now that comes from having the lowest workshop cost as well as the lowest maintenance parts
03:17cost set up versus its competitors competitively priced and you get a class leading 10,000 mile
03:23or 16,000 kilometers service interval and a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.
03:27Now adding to that versatility, we've got a 17L tank and that will give you a great 230 mile
03:34range or 380 kilometers from a full tank based on our average fuel consumption figures and making the
03:40bike even more comfortable for riding at speed.
03:43And also in weather conditions, we got this brilliant single adjustable front screen as well.
03:49All-arounder is a pretty good summary for it but of course being an all-arounder,
03:52it's got to be good at all those things.
03:55Good as a city bike, good as a commuter, good as a weekend rider, but also the ability to
04:00properly tour and have to up capability.
04:03Now that up riding capability and the touring is amplified with this bike by some great additions
04:08when it comes to luggage and accessories.
04:10So this bike here shows you the luggage setup or three of the items for the luggage setup.
04:15So you got the rear rack, a top box which you can get two crashes in and these panners.
04:20And the system, this is a brand new system from Triumph.
04:24It's really easy to slip on in and take off.
04:28It's a lockable system and that comes courtesy as you can see on this bike with mounting points
04:32which are integrated into the tail design.
04:35So it's a nice sleek singular tail design but the mounting point's already in there.
04:39And on top of luggage there's a host of other accessories.
04:42There's 40 in all that you can choose from and that would include the scrolling indicators we have here.
04:47You have hand guards, there's extra protection features that you can put on.
04:51Um we have additional lighting options for it and also a bodywork features such as the belly pan that we have on this bike here.
04:58So in summary, a brand new middleweight sports adventure motorcycle from Triumph bringing three key advantages into the class.
05:04The highest level of power from the only triple in the category.
05:08So you get the mid-range and top-notch performance that a twin typically can't get to.
05:12Class leading technology features with the TFT, the riding modes and also the switchable traction control
05:18which is unique versus a couple of the competitors and the lowest cost of ownership in the category
05:23which all add up to something unique and something new from Triumph.
05:27And these should be coming into dealers sometime in February in the new year.
