00:04Um, we wrote a blog post, or rather two blog posts in the last few days.
00:10They were about the Beamer Code app and the Beamer Link app.
00:16Beamer Code is the app that allows you to customize your vehicle, make various programming changes, and make so-called secret menus visible, so to speak, and configure your vehicle.
00:25And Beamer Link is the counterpart, which allows you to read out faults in your vehicle, reset the service, and so on and so forth.
00:35And among other things, you can also adjust the exhaust flaps there.
00:41So, you need an OBD connector, as we've already explained.
00:46Then you can use the Beamer Link app for, I think, 35 euros, and then you can open, close, or set the exhaust flaps to automatic while the ignition is running.
00:55i.e. when you switch on the ignition and go into mode.
01:00Uh, but this has the major disadvantage that the app only leaves the flaps open when it has access to the vehicle.
01:07Simply put, vehicle off, ignition off, then the car is back in normal mode.
01:13So, that means you have to log in with the app every time and would have to manually open the flaps every time if you want to drive with the flaps open or closed.
01:22Uh, but there is a way to get around that.
01:24Uh, because the question simply came up, is it possible to always have the flaps open?
01:29It is possible.
01:31Uh, it's really easy with a small fuse.
01:35And I'll show you now, you pull it out.
01:37Uh, and that's it.
01:38Then the flaps are always open.
01:40Before you do that, before you pull out the fuse, you have to, of course, use, this also works with Carly, or with this Beamer Link app, you then go into the exhaust flap mode, set them to open, and when they are open, you pull out the fuse.
01:54I'll show you which one it is now.
02:07Namely, I printed it out here, fuse F203.
02:10It's in the trunk over here, there's a little flap.
02:19These are the fuses back there, and then it's in the top row, the fourth from the top.
02:24So, 1, 2, 3, 4, in this case, the one above the fifth, which is already out here.
02:33I just tried it out to see if it works, right?
02:35You can see it halfway and yes, if he pulls it out, the flaps stay open.
02:39Then nothing rattles.
02:40There's no error message.
02:41I think an error is stored.
02:43So that's already noticeable during error reading.
02:45Um, but there are no disadvantages.
02:47So the engine power or anything like that is not throttled, nothing happens.
02:51Um, and no error message is displayed in the instrument cluster.
02:54I can show you that again.
02:55It's gone now, as you've seen.
03:03So, when I start the vehicle, right?
03:07Then all the lights go out, including the engine control.
03:10Um, yes, the car is cold now, it's revving a bit higher.
03:13But everything is completely normal.
03:14It has nothing to do with that.
03:15Exactly.
03:16And the flaps are always open now, as you can hear.
03:24Exactly.
03:25So that's a tip for anyone who wants to do this, um, about the legality and so on.
03:29Please educate yourself, depending on which country you come from.
03:33Um, yes, I don't want to encourage you to do something like that.
03:37I just wanted to show you how it works and you'll have to decide everything else for yourself.
