00:04King's Cross Station, one of London's busiest transport hubs, is a vital gateway to the
00:09north of England and Scotland.
00:11Opened in 1852, it was designed by architect Lewis Cubitt and has since become an iconic
00:18part of Britain's rail network.
00:20Handling over 30 million passengers annually, it connects London to cities like Edinburgh,
00:26York and Leeds.
00:28In recent years, the station underwent a £550 million redevelopment, modernising facilities
00:34while preserving its Victorian heritage.
00:37A key feature is the stunning semi-circular glass roof in the Western Concourse, completed
00:42in 2012, just in time for the Olympics.
00:47It also has a pop culture reference home to platform 9 ¾ from the Harry Potter series as
00:53well.
