Taiwan has approved TSMC’s construction of four new plants in central Taiwan. The facilities will use the company's most advanced 1.4 nm chipmaking process, with mass production expected in late 2028, initial revenues over estimated at US$160 billion, and a US$46 billion initial investment. The site is set to be the world’s largest AI chip hub.
