Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa has urged NGOs, Islamic groups, individuals and influencers to follow regulations when distributing food to the homeless in Kuala Lumpur.

She told the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Oct 29) that some influencers were using food distribution for social media content without adhering to rules, creating issues for DBKL.

Dr Zaliha also suggested refining the rule requiring food to be served in retort packs to improve hygiene and safety, while calling for greater participation from hotels, corporations and NGOs in managing surplus food for those in need.
