00:01:03When I was 14 years old, MTV came to my house because I was such a big Britney Spears fan.

00:01:16So anyway, last year, I was sitting at this bar.

00:01:41That's exactly what Matt Stapira discovered while scrolling through his photo stream on his iPhone

00:01:47And I was like, well, shit, I got hacked.

00:01:52But a year after Matt lost his phone, he started noticing a bunch of photos
00:01:56on his new iPhone.
00:01:57Pictures that he had not taken.

00:02:06I should do a BuzzFeed post on this.
00:02:08That BuzzFeed story that Matt had written became a sensation in China.

00:02:20and went on a hunt for the guy in front of the orange tree.

00:02:33and put it on Weibo, which is like the Chinese version of Twitter.
00:02:37Then they find out where my phone is.
00:02:39The fact that they were able to find one guy out of like 1.3 billion people
00:02:45in less than 24 hours is insane.
00:02:47It just completely blows my mind.
00:02:50The Chinese internet had given him the name Brother Orange
00:02:53because he took a ton of selfies in front of an orange tree.
00:02:57Brother Orange had bought my phone in China, but my iCloud was still connected to it.
00:03:01So whenever he took pictures on my old phone, they would show up on my new phone.
00:03:06First, I was like really freaked out.

00:03:48I have an invitation to this part of China that no one's ever heard of.
00:03:52My phone literally ended up from this place and to southern China to Brother Orange.
