00:08between fashion and film, with a focus
00:10on the costume designers and characters

00:17Featuring performances by Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams,
00:20along with copious celebrity cameos,

00:33Nicole Kidman opened the show with a rendition of Put
00:35the Blame on Mame, clad in a custom black Chanel gown inspired
00:39by Rita Hayworth's from the 1946 Noir Gilda.
00:43Moments later, Kendall Jenner hit the catwalk
00:45in Kidman's iconic embellished bodysuit and top hat
00:48from Moulin Rouge, designed by Katherine Martin.
00:50That wasn't the only archival costume
00:52seen during Sunday's show.
00:54Teyana Taylor, Danai Gurira, and Angela Bassett

01:00while Hunter Schafer strutted her stuff
01:02in one of Tilda Swinton's outfits from Orlando,
01:05designed by Sandy Powell.

01:23And then there were the performers.
01:25Gracie Abrams mashed up Carole King's I Feel the Earth

01:32And Doja Cat sang Gorgeous in a bold-shouldered chainmail
01:35dress by Michael Schmidt, inspired by Tina Turner's metal mesh
01:38costume from 1985's Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
01:42Turner's original look for George Miller's post-apocalyptic flick,
01:45by the way, is said to have weighed a whopping 70 pounds.
01:49If Doja's was that heavy, she sure didn't show it.
