00:00What's to blame for the Rangers' absolutely boring start to the season?

00:04Are you going to blame the X's and O's, or are you blaming the Jimmy's and Joe's?

00:08It seemed like there was a lot to be made of some of these longer contracts and getting older.

00:14I was a huge fan of JT Miller coming on, and since signing with the Rangers, or getting traded rather,

00:19he's been a prolific player, and I think it's pretty clear that this year specifically he's battling an injury.

00:25And it doesn't bode well for the team at the moment, and relying on rookie call-ups like Noah Laba

00:32and some third-line and fourth-line production before Matt Rempe goes down, their line looked really good.

00:38So I think we were a little bit higher, I think, on the top six,

00:41and it's pretty obvious that you lose Vinny Trocek early on in the season,

00:45and they've been battling to fill that loss ever since.

00:49It's not an excuse. There's teams like the Devils that have been off to a great start,

00:52and they seem to be catching the injury bug as well.

00:56So I don't think anybody's making excuses for the Rangers,

00:59but it's pretty clear that right now they're suffering through some injuries

01:02and struggling to get their best foot in front of them.

01:05Not setting the tone early in games and not finishing strong.

01:09We've allowed 10 goals in the first part of the period and the last part of the period,

01:13so we're allowing teams that we should be dominating to come in and set the tone

01:19and not play our 200-foot game.

01:21So for me, I think the Rangers need to get off to good starts

01:24and really dominate other teams and do the scoring first.
