00:00Okay, so the Texans end up getting a win that was maybe one of the more impressive ones of the day over the 49ers.

00:07And C.J. Stroud threw for over 300 yards and two touchdown passes, and they did it without Nico Collins.

00:12He found some other receivers there.

00:14So that's the silver lining in addition to the win, Jacob, is that maybe Houston found some other playmakers there because they need them.

00:20And the side of the 49ers, they've gotten as far as they can with Mac Jones.

00:24Purdy will come back.

00:25They'll be much better.

00:25Yeah, I think from the 49ers' perspective, this was always going to be a tough matchup.

00:31Texans ranked number one in the NFL and expected points added on defense.

00:35Their defense is just excellent.

00:37They get a lot of pressure.

00:37They're very good in coverage.

00:38So it was always going to be a really tough game for Mac Jones.

00:41And once the Texans were able to take away Christian McCaffrey, he really had nowhere to turn to because they're still banged up a receiver.

00:47No Ricky Piersall, no Brandon Ayuk.

00:49So I think you just write this off as, hey, no backup quarterback is going to do well against the Texans in all likelihood.

00:54I think for the Texans, though, you have to be excited what you're seeing on this offense.

00:58You mentioned Nico Collins was out.

01:00But a couple of those, they have three receivers, I think, from Iowa State on their roster.

01:06It's very strange.

01:07They have Jaden Higgins, Jalen Knoll, and Xavier Hutchinson.

01:10All played pretty well this past weekend.

01:12And CJ Stroud looked more comfortable.

01:14He had more time to throw against the, again, banged up 49ers pass rush.

01:18So if the Texans can protect Stroud, he is going to get the ball to these weapons.

01:23These young guys are going to come along.

01:24So I think the Texans are going to be one of those teams that all of a sudden they're going to be back in that playoff race.

01:29They're going to challenge for a wild card spot carried by their defense.

01:32But their offense, it's on the upswing, I think.
